Called about our Thermador dishwasher which is only barely 3 yr old and was reading E24 on control…read moreboard (which means dishwasher not getting any water). Technician took a week to come and then stated it was the intake valve and would need to be ordered. Another week went by and another week to schedule once it came in. Also had to hire a floor specialist to remove part of floor to get dishwasher out before he agreed to come back. Next trip he states the water shorted out the control board and that was the issue. I stated the control board was working before he came and was registering E24 and now it was not working at all. He stated he called tech support and that was what they said was the problem and they had control boards in stock and would schedule a return as soon as came in. That was 10 days ago (not heard a word) so called again and they left a message. I called Thermador and they walked me through a process, as now I notice control board stating E24 again so it could not be shorted out. I did as they instructed and dishwasher working on cycle... so far a month without a dishwasher and money wasted with nothing done

They DO have a cherry picker, however. And lots and lots of other equipment, large and small. Think about this: You can rent a riding lawn mower for far less than buying your own. You won't have to store it and you won't have maintenance costs. The owner -- Steve -- has been working at what used to be his parents' place since, well....high school. Or maybe even earlier than that. Point is, Steve has been a mainstay for rental needs since the 70s. When you walk in, you will see all manner of really cool stuff in the "showroom" area. The place is not exactly "spruced up," but it's not disorganized or dirty. A colorful variety of brand new equipment is always coming in. New home emergency power generators, for instance. You stand at the counter and get waited on quickly, and if you're a free coffee fan, then you'll be delighted (look to the left of the counter). I love just going into this business if for no other reason than to get that free cup of coffee. Oh, and uh, (Columbo speaking) -- just one more 'ting: ALWAYS get the damage waiver.

It turns out that a different 101 Laundry which is no longer in business has a lingering Yelp rating below 2/5 8n a different city. MapQuest hasn't removed the closed one so, sadly, it reflects poorly on 101 Laundry. MapQuest also doesn't identify this laundry. When we were there we noticed new, clean machines and surfaces, reading material, and believe it or not, a handicapped accessible patio with nice out of door furniture. The owners are friendly and monitor this business. I am attaching pictures that also include the entryway with 2 chairs set up a conversation setting, welcoming customers in. I knew that she was very expensive in the past and I went here only because my normal place in Salem was too far. I could not go there for just a couple quick thin sweaters. I normally make one trip there in the summer for everything. When I went in there two weeks ago, she told me that my very thin sweaters not thick sweaters would be around $8.35 a piece. I wrote that down on my receipt when I left so that I knew. I knew she was still expensive for these thin sweaters, but I was willing to pay at this one time. Unfortunately, when there's only one dry cleaners in the area they can do whatever they want. When I went back there this Wednesday, she tried to tell me that my price was $35.85. I was shocked!! I couldn't even believe that that's what I heard and I told her no that's not what you told me and I said look at my receipt. This is what you told me and I looked her in the eye. She continued to argue. She did not want to refund me. She kept arguing with me and then eventually said well I'll give you a $10 credit. How about that? And I said no I don't ever want to come back here again. After I told her I would report this to Visa and that I would dispute it because I knew this was wrong . She then refunded me and voided the sale and charged me the normal price. I have never had anyone try to do this. It is a smooth, gypsy move that I have never experienced. Telling someone, one price then doing a full switch and bait!! I'm imagining she does this to people all the time and catches them off guard. Most people are embarrassed and don't want to say anything. On top of this imagine paying almost $12 for a thin ladies sweater. I have all types of sweaters I have thin, medium and thick. This is about $7.50 in Salem, maybe closer to $8.00 in McMinville. Please do not go here find somewhere else there are other dry cleaners in McMinville and in Salem I drive in order not to be completely ripped off. I can still save money even with the gas. No wonder people can't pay rent, buy food or gas because the people like this.

McKenzie graciously took care of it for me and after visiting awhile I asked her opinion on my diamond wedding ring, which I'd had worked on by a jeweler at home. I'd never been happy with the work the hometown guy had done. McKenzie suggested an easy fix (her term, not mine) if I was willing to leave the ring a few days. When I returned my ring was so beautiful all I could do was repeatedly say "Wow". And then she refused to charge me! Of course, while visiting the store I had to peruse the amazing selection of new and antique jewelry. In the end, my husband had to drag me away from a stunning pair of diamond and emerald earrings. Diamonds by the Sea has absolutely gorgeous jewelry and their friendliness and customer service is beyond great.
