They are so concerned about customers that they won't let them use the restroom when they are shopping in the store.

I wanted to share some signs I recently found in a Goodwill Store at 1145 Galaxy Dr. N.E. Lacey Wa. 98516. Don't go in if you might have to use the bathroom at anytime during shopping. I asked the cashier where the dressing rooms were she told me there are no dressing rooms. I asked how I was supposed to know if the things fit and she shrugged her shoulders. I, then, asked what happens if I cannot wear what I buy. (I have tried some of the 'life hacks' that are supposed to help determine if clothing will fit without trying them on. Not all of them work well, and they don't work all of the time.) She told me I can bring it back for an in-store credit. In other words, they want customers to buy a pig in a poke, and then force them to shop there for a replacement, which, again, might not fit. Not much 'good will.'

Most of the GW's I've been to in Washington are pretty good. The Lacey GW is moderately clean and usually pretty quiet. I like that in a shopping experience sometimes because you can take your time and enjoy the experience of shopping without the feeling of being crowded by other shoppers or loud talkers or miscellaneous kids roaming the store without parental supervision, or that one person who likes to block the whole aisle with their cart making it nearly impossible to squeeze by them. I have never experienced this at the Lacey GW. It also doesn't have too much of that musty thrift store smell you get at some places. All of there staff have been nice to me, even when I needed help loading some furniture into a U-haul. Very courteous even the cashiers. If you're looking for something in the display cases, you usually don't have to wait for long. As mentioned in my review of Value Village, I usually go for movies (VHS) and men's pants. There is a pretty good selection of both and their prices are a lot better than Value Village (or at least I think so). They have 1/2 off days at the same time as $1.29 days. I guess they know how to move their merchandise a little quicker, especially with good prices. They have a nice selection of TV's and small electronics. The store is small enough that you don't get confused, plus it's very well organized. Oh and the prices on their furniture are really good. I didn't give 5 stars, since I'm a stickler for easy, efficient, and ample parking. It is very hard to get into the parking lot especially around rush hours since there is a large concrete median divider in the way and cars coming from the direction of Walmart back up waiting to turn against the divider. So in essence those cars block the only entrance to the parking lot since the other entrance is an exit only due to the donation line. It kind of sucks to have to go do to L.A Fitness and then turn around to get on the right side of the street to turn into the GW. At the time of this review, it looks like there is construction going on across the street so maybe that will change the street design.

Unexpected Gem Alert!…read more So picture this, I'm dragging a bit today, that late morning/early afternoon slump after doing literally everything spring related around our homestead. (And no, not a Little House on the Prairie homestead, just five minutes up the road, but with all the pollen, chirping Tweetie birds, baby critters, a 16 year old son, and my handsome, big bearded hubby of almost 30 years this September. Thank you very much. It feels like a full blown homestead!) Anyway, squirrel moment incoming!! Hubs casually says, "Wanna go to the flea market?" I'm like, what flea market?! He says one just opened up... didn't even need to finish his sentence. Honestly, babe, you had me at flea market. (Although I did pause for a second to make sure it wasn't some trick detour on the way to Home Depot or the sports store. Don't play with my emotions like that Mr. I know your tricks.) Y'all. This place is fantastic! It's just getting started but already has some seriously cool finds. Reminder, one woman's junk could be another's treasure. Super clean, friendly folks, and tons of potential to grow. Bonus points: it's right next to the German Diner and Pink Bikini Coffee Stand. Yes, you read that right. Coffee, food, AND shopping--all in the same parking lot?! My kind of trifecta. If you're a vendor, this spot has great energy and prime potential. And if you're just like me and love a good treasure hunt...run, don't walk. My teen and his crew are big into thrift finds, and this location near River Ridge couldn't be better. He scored two pairs of jeans today. I'll share pics tomorrow. We haven't even had time to snap the Montage yet! Getting a photo of a teen boy is like Pulling an unloose tooth! Just one Omgosh, we ruined their lives, and an hour later they're taking a gazillion with their Peeps?! Like Cupping my hands over my mouth shouting, Ok, I love you, make smart choices as he's running out the door. Lol Kids. ‍ I hope others can relate?! Otherwise, this is one long boring review. On a Serious Note Though. Not that kids aren't. Support your local vendors, and small businesses OVER corporations, and franchises right now! They are who need us. We need one another. Show the corrupt corporations and franchise. We don't need them. Lift your community. Things might take a little longer or cost a couple dollars more, but think about the pockets you're actually helping, and giving back to. A little kindness goes a long way. Go check it out, you'll be glad you did. That's what matters.... Community and Value

The Eagles #21 has history dating 100 years- through the beginning of the club's early founding, it's heyday in the 40's and 50's, and through it's slight decline in the 80's and 90's. Since then it has gone through numerous improvements to make it one of the best spots for entertainment and leisure. Decades of live events throughout the 4-level building have brought many different people together from all over the Oly area, and the world. Upstairs is the huge Eagles Grand Ballroom that is used for weekly dances and planned events such as weddings, proms, and recitals. There are performance art classes also available for anyone wanting to learn a type of dance, or drum. In the bottom level of the building is the E-mart. The Eagles houses a thrift store full to the brim of second-hand goods. From designer labeled clothing, to electronics, old VHS and DVDs, furniture, and from dishes and housewares to books and toys. Of course, the ground level is the member's lounge. Boasting the only bar in downtown Olympia to have the NFL ticket, the clubhouse can get any NFL game on it's six flat-screen TVs and projector. The Eagles is also home to the official Brown's Backers football club who meet for every Cleveland Brown game. And the best spot to watch all your Sounders, Mariners, and Seahawks games. Not a football fan? All throughout the week there are daily drink specials (cheapest in town), live music, karaoke, free pool and foosball, pull tabs, a stage and a dance floor and a jukebox, video games, potlucks, and great people enjoying the company at the bar. It is a member's only club, however. Joining is simple. There are yearly dues to being a member, and of course abiding by club rules and aerie bylaws. But they are always accepting more members to join and be a part of a great community of fundraisers who love to party!
