The Goodwill Bargain Bin used to be a fun place to shop. Everything was organized. The store was clean. I used to go in once a week and I'd see a lot of the same people. It was a fun place. Not anymore. Now it' a mess. It's dirty. The goods are thrown on tables without regard as to what they are. So much stuff is broken just because of the way it's handled. It makes you want to cry. This review is NOT for the Bargain Bin next door. I went in that place once and I'll never go back - mostly because I'm not a fan of picking up contagious diseases while I'm shopping. This review is for the actual Goodwill store - where items are on racks and there is some kind of order to the inventory. This Goodwill is not in a great neighborhood at all. The Parking lot needs a lot of work and the old "Lowe's" sits next door and has been vacant for about 10 years now so expect weeds growing up through the asphalt. I typically try to park close to the doors when I come to this location. I won't shop for clothing at this location because it's dirtier than it should be. The only things I look at here are purses and art pieces. Once in awhile I'll head back to the furniture area just to see what they have but that section is always destroyed and covered in filth with broken items strewn about. I usually only spend about 15-20 minutes in this location and I usually leave empty handed because they don't typically have anything that catches my eye. I won't go out of my way to go this store but if I'm in the neighborhood I will stop by. A few years back I noticed a creeper following my daughter and I around so we left and didn't go back until recently - I haven't had any other creeper issues. I am a huge fan of thrift shopping... so on my recent trip to Reno, my boyfriend and I decided to hit up a few stores. I am from the Bay Area and seriously... the items we found up in Reno, are 50% cheaper than what they would be here in San Jose. I bought a brand new sweater, tags still on, for $4.99... at my local Goodwill... the price would have been about $10+ for a brand new sweater. Anyway... this Goodwill is HUGE and CRAZY BUSY. Never seen a thrift store jumpin' like this place was. Their checkout computer system is top notch... I actually made a comment to my boyfriend that their computers are better than the ones at the front desk at the Eldorado... which is true. I am mobility handicapped, went to drop off a couple of bags of donations, in the past, including two weeks ago there was never a problem with them grabbing the bags from the back of my suv, today they refused saying it was against their covid19 protocols. this is the first time I have ever encountered some place that refused to assist a handicapped person, it's takes me several minutes to get into and out of a vehicle and walking and standing are painful and difficult, and I have a placard. The UCP thrift store had no issue with grabbing the bags. read more

This store you can find some deals, but you can also find some really over price items, and a bunch of crap. The pros: The store is organized and it clean for a thrift store. You can get some cool items with a bunch of variety. The selection of this store is endless, you can find something for anyone in here. The cons: This store charges an arm and a leg for their items, sometimes 80 to 100% of original retail prices. Compared to another thrift store they will not negotiate prices on their items. Their return policy stinks on electronic items. No only can you not check the item, but if it is broken you can not return the item, always use a credit card in case you might need to charge back. read more

The drop off is a joke. The staff is rude and refuses to help you with your items, letting you unload and put things where they say they go only to then tell you they don't accept those items. Things like vacuums, small area rugs and bed frames which they do accept according to the website. For people making $8.25 an hour they act like their jobs actually matter. read more

This Goodwill is packed full of inventory, and if I had ALL DAY to spend in there sifting through their mess, I'm sure I would find some good stuff. As it is, though, they don't do much to sort things out, which is an especially big problem when they have so much inventory. For example, their children's section consists of four very long racks that contain all of the clothes size 12 months to 16. Really? You guys can't even separate out the toddler clothes from the big kid clothes? I was so exhausted after checking the size tags on one of the racks, that I just gave up. It's even worse for infant clothing...they just throw it all in a big bin. If you are coming here for books or furniture, this place is fantastic. If you are looking for clothes, be prepared to spend some time. read more

Been looking for a month now for sky poles with no success until today! I decided to try the area's thrift stores and at the second one we hit gold er or aluminum,collapsing to boot! At goodwill industries we found a aluminum pair that collapses for six bucks! at a local outdoor store they were fifty bucks,ouch! So try them! read more

Terrible service! Drove over here at 9:54 am on a Saturday and they were not open yet. The guy said to come back at 10. Came back at 10 and same guy said he wasn't ready yet and come back in 15 minutes. The last time we came here they were closed due to the fires. Never again. Taking our donations elsewhere. If your looking for some cheap stuff it's okay. But horrible customer service. Their intercom the other day came out excessively loud to the point I had to plug my ears. I shouted out that it was too loud. Then an employee shouted "it's our job". Then the same employee said some curse words in relation to the same incident. Come to find out that employee was the dam Manager of the store. We only found out it was the manager when we went to check out and requested to speak to one. You can bet we won't be coming back for awhile. read more

It's impossible to donate anymore. Don't bother. I waited in the endless vehicle line for nearly an hour while TWO total cars were unloaded. It's a disaster. The guy "working" at a snail's pace ended up yelling at the people in the car in front of me. Fortunately I escaped his wrath. Completely unacceptable. This Goodwill centre is completely ridiculous. My family was moving in to an apartment and didn't have room for a few small furniture items, so we took two chairs and a desk to the Goodwill donation drop off. The back of one of the chairs had two small tears at the top, one of our chairs had no legs (we bought it like that), and our desk didn't have shelves (again, we bought it as such). Not only did the guy at the drop off wait until we unloaded everything to tell us he couldn't take it, but ALL, and I repeat, ALL of the items were originally purchased at Goodwill! The guy argued that our furniture was missing pieces, yet Goodwill sells crap like that all the time. You cannot tell me that a thrift store that sells used underwear can't take a chair with no feet and a desk with no shelves. Totally hypocritical and completely stupid. Never going to donate to a Goodwill ever again. read more

With the new layout and remodeling of the store it seems so much more organized and cleaner. A lot of registers were added to reduce lines, which is great when they have sales and you don't have to wait in line so long. This location has a much better selection than the one in south Reno. I will be coming back here again. Good news there is also a public restroom, clean too. read more

It's better than the one in Las Vegas for sure. Carts are not usually available if you arrive later than 8 am. Store usually opens at 8 am instead of 9 am as posted on the door. I've witnessed some funny business here by the employees and the customers that I can't talk about cuz I don't want to be involved , but hopefully they will eventually get caught by the higher ups. I found some good things here but as with most outlets it's mostly junk. People go crazy for the junk stuff they bring out. read more

When shopping at thrift stores I expect some nuances with my experience. However, this location has reached beyond "the norm." My last three visits to this store a homeless person has waited next to my car for me to get out and then asked for money. A paradox since I drive a beater that bareley runs and I'm shopping at Goodwill. Though uncomfortable I typically look past this until the experience I had today. While waiting to enter the store, while shoppers filed in and out, two homeless men were sitting next to the entrance casually discussing hardcore porn in detail amidst young children present. This situation was highly disturbing for various reasons and completely unnecessary. The intention of my review of Goddwill is to give anyone a heads up that may be concerned about shopping in the area. read more

This store is a mess! Yuck...the dressing room had pee on the wall and carpet. No one ever cleans the dressing rooms. The clothes are just spilling over. I'm sure the people try their best but they need more help or they need better training. This store has long lines and the customer service is on the low end. A lot of inventory but not organized and definitely not kept clean. I will stick with the Goodwill on Virginia. read more

I love to shop and browse at second hand stores! This is one of my favorites although I have many! The staff is always friendly! This particular store doesn't have a wide variety on furniture such as end tables, kitchen tables etc...it does seem I find something I just have to have every time I visit! read more

Patience is a virtue! Atmosphere is very chaotic most of the time, toy/puzzle area, and pretty much throughout the store is normally a disaster, because unsupervised brats run ramped, as if it's a play center! I like kids, but this isn't the place to let your kids run free, screaming and crying, breaking things, etc. put a leash on em or leave em at home! LOL, just saying! Not once, have I been in there, where I'm not being rushed, shoved, reached over, bumped, etc. by fellow shoppers! Rude as F*#*%! Misc boxes of crap down every isle! No returns or exchanges, accept on electronics...A HUGE selection of jewelry; NOTE to employees: If there's only one person helping at the jewelry counter, then only ONE customer should be helped at a time! All the impatient cart pushers can WAIT! Clothes selection is amazing; never leave without something new with tags! Prices vary greatly, depending on who's pricing! There's a few employees that are an absolute pleasure, such as Amber, who I just adore and others that are unbearable! Tons of turnarounds, which for me(a thrift store regular) can be frustrating, as I can be indecisive and slow when checking out, and new employees tend to get frustrated and become impatient! Lots of treasures and lots of junk, but if you have the time and patience, it can be a thrift store junkies' palace! NOTE to all: NEVER leave your cart unattended, because 9 out of 10 times, someone will either take your cart(filled with stuff) or simply help themselves to something that catches their eye, with absolute disregard to others! As for the "bins" next door; bring a tote cart from home or plan on stocking someone down in the parking lot for a cart, as most are either being used in the store or have been taken by homeless people to use as their personal/permanent mobile moving device! Hand sanitizer and or gloves, are essential! Sometimes there's good stuff, sometimes the bins are filled with garbage(literally), from empty beer boxes, to "dirty" underwear; YES "dirty" underwear! Found a dildo inside a beanie/hat once! Fu*#ing disgusting! Not sure why it hasn't been reported as a health hazard! read more

Used to be a great place to shop. The main stores are constantly raising prices on their electronics. The person that is pricing doesn't have a cue on the value. Bargain bin is full of nasty garbage. The stores became unorganized and a mess. read more

Prices are average in the regular retail side (shoes are crazy overpriced though... $15 for used boots?). I highly suggest going next door to the bargain box outlet. Bric a brac is $0.25 each and clothing and shoes are sold by the pound. You will have to dig, you will occasionally grab a pair of underwear in the bins, you will sweat but you most likely will find something awesome. I got a big bag of vintage clothes for $8. Bring the hand sanitizer and your patience and have fun! read more

All satellite locations are closed with signs sending people here for donations. Sat in line that wrapped around the old Lowe's location for drop off for a little over 1/2 hour. Most of the movement in the line was from people leaving after getting frustrated with the wait. There wagon 1 person working the drop off. He had 2 speeds, very slow and stop. He moved slowly while sorting donations after the person had left. Every so often he would stop and just stand there or walk back a few cars to look and see who was in the cars. Then saunter back to sort some more stuff. At the pace he moved I doubt he could keep up on a slow day, but on a busy day like today, forget it. There should have been at least 2 people there to take donations. I left and went to another charity in the corner of Glendale and McCarren and drop off and smooth and quickly. They had multiple people working the drop off there. I had a lot of that was in like new condition that they don't get to sell and make money from. I'll never take anything to goodwill again! read more

The people who go into the bargin bin are nuts n greedy. Filling carts up with shoes when they bring out the bins. Shoving to get what they want. Then if u get something they had their eye on they shove ya. But they have some great employees. Traci is a friendly n sweet one who works there.. Few others too But not sure their names. So they have done some organizing so they call it lately where they have all the kids clothes together instead of the infants in the big. To me the bin was better. Also I hate that they only organize the kids clothes by what it is like jeans, shirts etc I have to look through millions of size 6 and up just to find size 24 months pants. I do like the bargain bin though except recently they have upped their prices and I asked about it one day and they said that they are not getting enough donations.. really???? I dont see how that is possible when they are throwing things away to always make room for more stuff. read more

Goodwill's Bargain Bin is located directly next door to this store. I've been to Goodwill's all over the country and the Bargain Bin concept is a BARGAIN! I found a MacLaren umbrella stroller for only $5.... just needed the fabric washed. ALL shoes are $2.50, flip flops and kids shoes $0.99!!!! I have been here only twice and have found tons and tons of name brand shoes retailing over $100 such as Merrell's, Keens, Birkenstock, Dansko, Nike, Sperry Top Sider, Jack Rogers, Born, Simple, etc. I sell shoes online so this is a GREAT place to source shoes in good condition CHEAP!!!! ONe must allow for several hours to be spent here and one must literally go through entire bins to look at every item! Found brand new JCrew wicker straw purse here for $1, some clothes which are $2.49/lb but there are soooooooooo many clothes, it'd take all day just to go through 1 bin of clothes. read more
