I'm an avid thrifter, so the following review comes from years of experience thrifting--this is the dirtiest GW location I've ever set foot in. I understand that the whole premise of the business it secondhand clothing, but this store is disgusting. All the clothes are stained and dirty, not even worth the reselling cost for which they're asking (which is standard based on type of clothing across the GW network). There are other, cleaner, GW locations close by. Do yourself a favor and just pass on this one. read more

This store is a significant improvement over their previous location on Route 73N. It's much bigger and cleaner. There's also more parking at this location. I've been to Goodwill stores in other states and I'm intrigued that they are each managed differently. The stores in the Atlanta area are amazing. They are clean, well organized, have great selection, etc. I am an avid Thrift store shopper and there are a few qualities that indicate a great thrift store. First, does it have that thrift store smell when you first walk in. This one doesn't. If it does it isn't strong. Second, is it well organized. This one is just ok. They do have separate sections, divided by size. I do often find the wrong size mixed in. So I recommend checking a size up and down if you are looking for a particular item. This store does tend to be messy. Ive often seen clothes on the floor so the employees don't pick them up. Third are there Fitting Rooms and mirrors to check yourself out without having to use a fitting room. The store only has 4 fitting rooms so there is sometimes a wait. There is no mirror outside of the fitting room unless you find one in the furniture area. It would be nice if they had some around the store or in the clothing section. Fourth is variety and quality. This store has mostly lower to mid range i.e. Old Navy, Dress Barn, Target, etc. You might get lucky to find a higher end brand. Also, inspect your items closely for rips, stains, broken zippers, etc. Lastly is price and sales. Everything here is very well priced and they have 2 colors each week that are 50% off. The GREAT part of this store is that the 2 colors for the week are $1 on Sundays!!!!! Overall it's worth a visit on $1 day. If you have patience then go on the other days and treasure hunt. read more

New location is: next to Lowe's 2834 Route 73 S Maple Shade, NJ 08052 Huuuuge but also messy (maybe when I went on a Sunday). I did notice that some racks are left as it (ie the color tags are all the same color). I went during around late noon/early evening, and most good items were gone (snagged by the regulars) and that empty carts were rare. So expect lots of people here on a Sunday and some clutter on the floor. There is just not enough workers to cover all the chaos left by all the shoppers. read more

Here's what I find very interesting. The place just re-opened after Covid. There are no additional measures that I can see since prior to Covid. Yet the prices have become ridiculous. You can go to Ross and get clothes that are brand new Many for the same price or less. The sad thing is that many people are out of work and really could use a discount on items such as clothing if the prices have risen. Remember this place runs on donations mostly and in this area if you drive by the back of the building you'll notice the donations have increased significantly yet the Prices have risen ridiculously. read more

Goodwill is a great place to get miscellaneous items that you didn't know you needed. This particular location is one of the larger Goodwill stores that I've been to. The entire store is split into different sections: women's clothing, men's clothing, children's clothing, toys, electronics, kitchen goods, furniture, blankets, shoes, purses, belts, books, it goes on and on. Some sections are better than others; the kitchenware always have some great finds, while the electronics look like they've been there for years. Alot of goodwill finds make for great renovation projects. The store is outdated, and has a funky smokey smell, but you should probably wash all your purchases from here regardless. For the most part, everything is pretty organized. The staff has been friendly whenever I've visited. They offer different discounts for students, military, and the elderly. Goodwill accepts debt cards and cash. This location accepts donations. read more

Haven't been here since Covid. I went through all of the long sleeve racks and every other item had boutique pricing. Literally like 75% of the items marked up. Taking this goodwill out of my rotation as the others I go to in south Jersey don't do it nearly this much, thankfully!! Everything was supposed to be $4.99, but most things were marked with a black price tag at $7.99. And black price tag means it won't be going on sale as black isn't a sale color. When you buy a lot like me, this adds up a lot. No good. I left. read more

The prices have gone up astronomically at this Goodwill. I used to go out of my way to visit, but refuse to anymore. The processors make a commission off of items sold off their carts, and this may be part of the reason for the high prices. Per corporate they are not supposed to be looking items up on eBay, and I know for a fact they do. I attached an image of what they are putting on some of the items. This place used to be bustling with people, now when I go in there, it is dead, except on Sunday. (Dollar day) They are losing a lot of loyal customers like myself, that used to spend a lot of money here. I also feel bad for the employees, they are overworked, and treated terribly. Mediocre store. They have a few good finds there for reasonable prices. I got some some memorable things there. The employees are so-so in terms of friendliness; a few of them seemed rather careless and didn't show appreciation when I donated alot of stuff. The store has an odd odor and should be kept cleaner. The worst part is that dangerous parking lot pulling onto Route 73. If you do go, the best bet is during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds in the store and parking lot. read more

Just caught wind that this company has a policy in place that forbids employees from shopping in store, on or off shift. How can this be justified? Ah.. Goodwill. You keep getting better. PROS: Lots of crap. All the time. Wooo Hooo! Shelves NEVER look empty. Lots of people seem to ditch their textbooks at this Goodwill in particular. Loads of books. Good kitchen stuff. Some nice kids clothes. Manufacturer samples, too. CONS: Unusual smell drifting from restroom area (near electronics). Need MORE ROOM in the 'books' section so you can see the titles of the books stacked below the shelves. Some of the aisles are too close together for a person with a cart to pass a single standing person. I'd love to know how to get there without having to take that u-turn @ the Apt. complex. read more

I frequent this Goodwill as well as others looking for what everyone else is looking for bargains I have to say I have to think twice before going to this one there are less than professional people that I've dealt with there today I dealt with an adolescent who claim to be manager he was incorrect in an assumption that I was peeling off tags, of course this is wrong and I do not condone it, but speaking about the stores conditions there are price tags all over the floors peeling tags seems to be a way of business here and for this manager to address me without correct or observing any behaviors other than me wiping some kind of sticky gluey debris off of an item that came off a Dusty shelf as he made his remark she said that I would be shown out of the store should he witness this again.My problem with the adolescent who looked more like he came out of a drinking establishment by his haircut dress and demeanor caught me off guard and before I could say anything he rushed off I also observed piles of merchandise blocking isles laying on the floor constant calls for Price checks some of the cashiers are quite friendly and sociable others act like they own the last morsels of food and are carefully doling it out the way they inspect and look at people purchasing and pain patronage to this one of the least clean stores in their chain there are some cashiers that I'll politely say our past their prime constant attitude and game playing and joking around amongst what I can only assume are the managers while other employees female employees in particular one long-haired thin very responsible and responsive teller and floor person is constantly hard at work the managers could learn a thing or two about courtesy intelligence and respectful manners towards their clientele as well as a more professional appearance they should spend more time helping the floor people clean up instead of hiding out having coffee or whatever they're doing while the store looks as if bulls just ran through it. It hasn't always been this way but of late it's gotten worse and the Management's personality as witnessed is condescending to their patrons. Like any other goodwill it's a first come & grab basis with tag deals or what not. I've seen a lots of b****ing & whiners about this place & of course it's unorganized what did you expect it will be? It's like a indoor yards sale with donated items toss on the shelf and on the floor. No complaints from me I love digging & roaming for items. However, I did manage to find awesome deals in great condition that were useable and I will be back. Furthermore, on the weekend it is hectic & Awesome job to the staff they don't get enough appreciations they deserve! read more

The rude staff (cashiers) ruin the visit. One time we tried to checkout and were told to go back and shop some more because the lady was too busy walking around collecting hangers. Your treated like your bothering them just for walking in the door. And for all the trouble you caused them by paying for your items they are nice enough to overcharge you. I was just at Bordentown Goodwill and I try to always be courteous, patient and polite to the employee's yet everyyyyy single time everyyyyy one of them seem to go out of their way to be rude like we are bothering them!! Then they put the most breakable item on the bottom followed by the next breakable items and if u try to ask to hold the item or wrap it they throw and break it on u anyway. I even had one call us impatient because the line was into the back of the store and they had 1 register opened and we asked if they could called another up. I asked for a empty cart sitting there there once and the guy said no. Another time started vacuuming rightttt next to me the whole time every inch i was in the store following me. Store's OK, but after waiting in line for 18 minutes (actual wait time, not an estimate...there's a clock on the wall behind the counter) they FINALLY opened a second register. I politely and quietly expressed my aggravation with a sotto "Finally!", and the inbred behind the counter purposely provoked me by snottily asking , "Is there a problem?" (Again, politely) I replied, "Waiting 18 minutes in line is certainly a problem". Any sales clerk with at least a two-digit I.Q. should have known enough to say, "I'm sorry for the wait"....but Bozo condescendingly says "Relax, would you?" to me like I'm some kind of lunatic for having been annoyed. I explained that I didn't need his attitude OR the piece of merchandise I was about to overpay for, and headed for the door, and he, WHILE A WHOLE LINE OF CUSTOMERS BEHIND ME WAITED, walked off to the back of the store to return the item to the shelf! That couldn't wait til after he checked out the people waiting in line???? Guess he was drunk on the day Good Will taught "Good People Skills 101". Guess what? For all I know, he may be gone tomorrow.... but *I'll* never go back there. Nor will anyone who takes my advice. read more
