(If I could give zero, I would.) This was by far the most unprofessional experience I've ever had in a Goodwill. I picked up three blue bird figurines that were already on the floor, placed them in my basket, and before I could even turn around, an employee (I went back to secure her name) snatched them straight out of my hand and walked off to the back; no explanation, no apology, nothing. When I asked what was going on, manager George was at least polite, but his manager, Doris doubled down and told me they wouldn't be "bringing them out until tomorrow." Are you kidding me? You literally took items from a paying customer's basket -- items that were already on the sales floor -- and then refused to sell them? No attempt to make it right, no customer care, just rudeness and arrogance. It's one thing to pull items from the floor before customers touch them it's another to grab them out of someone's basket. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. If this is how this store treats paying customers, it says a lot about their management and training. I am attempted to never come back; but will definitely let others know to steer clear too. After years of coming here, I will never give them the satisfaction of never seeing me again. See you soon! Goodwill was found in 1902 by Boston Minister, Reverand Edgar J. Helms. He took donations from wealthy Bostonians and hired people who were poor and who could fix them. The items were then given to the people who worked on them or resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. This was my first time visiting the Delray Beach location. It didn't seem as nice or have as big of a selection of items as some of the locations in Palm Beach. I have noticed that Goodwill has put all of their Christmas items out. I guess it is a Christmas in July type of event. If you are in need of holiday items now is a good time to grab them. The staff was very courteous and enthusiastic. I found some nice dishware there including Pyrex in good condition.

The previous management and staff were awesome! If I could give zero stars I would because of the new management and staff currently at this location. I asked for the manager because cars were illegally parked in the handicap section. I asked her if she could announce over the intercom the make and color of the car to have them move. She was very nasty and rude and blew me off. My husband is disabled so I need to park in the handicap section. I'm passive but the way she handled the situation by walking off with an attitude was not okay!! I called the police to talk to her about the importance of handicap parking. I was blown away when the officer told me it was an employee that parked there, YEP it was her car. My intention was to educate how important handicap parking is for the disabled!!!!! read more

This Goodwill was large and had quite a selection. Lots of clothes -- nothing interesting to me that I wanted to buy, but I did my usual search for black jean skirts. There was a big section of housewares and China, glasses, etc. The items are spread out on shelves and many items piled on top of each other. It is sort of separated into categories -- or was at one time. One section is organized by colors -- for example all red pieces are together; all green, etc. It's the kind of area that you'll need to walk through slowly going up each side of the aisle separately to see everything. Prices pretty decent -- especially compared to other Goodwill stores. Goodwill is a money making enterprise (especially for their top executives) so it is nice when they aren't gouging the public. I did find one coffee mug I was looking for... and it was only 49 cents. Score! And service was friendly at the checkout counter, as well. read more

This place is either a hit or miss, today it was a hit...well kinda. I'm came in looking for a pair of overalls and a nice big thick sweater. Sadly to say they had neither in the store and I ended up in the dress section. The great news is I discovered some amazing little black dresses in the store and they were amazing. I paid under 8 dollars for 2 designer dresses: one from Bebe and the other from a Brazilian couture. Deal more like a steal! But most times the quality is really poor here the you find the occasional un needed treasure! Happy hunting my friends :) read more

Was much better under previous management. Prices used to be reasonable but new management has inflated most items 25 to 50%. New manager sifts through all the items and pulls anything of value for their online site. The manager actually took pictures of a pair of shoes I was purchasing and said " these should not be out there, I need to have a talk with the staff!" Now nothing but high priced trash with a demoralized staff. Pass on this location. read more

Nothing but assorted mostly broken junk. Everything that I touched was incredibly dirty. I held some unpriced tennis rackets and my hands were black. My friend wanted to buy a broken telescope that was missing most of its pieces. It was not priced. When he asked the price, the clerk found the manager who arbitrarily decided that it should be $10. He offered her a lower price and she began shouting and told us that it wasn't a dollar store and that we should go to Dollar General down the street. I'm certainly not expecting a Neiman Marcus level of service but a little bit of common courtesy (and common sense) would go a long way. They are allegedly trying to raise money for charity. read more

I haven't ever written a review before, but I feel I should. Went to this Goodwill about a week ago and encountered a mess. Store is disgusting and the floor looks like it has never been cleaned. I was looking for bed rails didn't see any so I asked a young man who worked there. Very rudely was told they don't sell them. He justed walked away into the back after rolling his eyes. Nice!!! Bad days happen. I asked a short woman what color is on sale she huffed and informed me they don't do that anymore. She mummbled something about a club membership. I was surprised she could speak at all she reeked of alcohol. It was about 11am - rough night I guess. I've been to lots of Goodwill stores, but this one was a hoot. Store a wreck, no merchandise, rude and drunk employees with dollar store items priced at 2.99. Bad management I guess. read more

Wow.... this is probably the better Goodwill store I've seen in most of Palm Beach so far that isn't unorganized like Boynton's or expensive like the Goodwill Boutique in Boca. They are organized by color, season, length, furniture... etc. They have a very large and great selections of clothing for sure and having aisles organized by color is very helpful and helps speed up the shopping process so that when you have color schemes in mind and only want to go in and out in less than 20 minutes. The furniture options are about the same as the one in Boynton, but I think the selection was a bit smaller. But they definitely had great vintage finds as they had some lamps from the 60's or so I think. There is a back area that they've sectioned off which looked like it was in need of renovation or a new splash of paint, but it is being used as a holding area for customers who've already paid for the items and are in need to find shipping for the items. Parking was a bit limited and the front lot is for handicapped patrons only while all others must park at the side of the building. read more

Was driving past this Goodwill and decided to stop in! Love it!!! Got a great lamp for my home, got a wonderful sweater and a little chest for under $20. The selection was great and the staff were friendly. As Jay L. says, there is a vintage shop in the back which also has wonderful finds at a very reasonable price! Always seem to find something good! This Goodwill feels fairly clean and had a lot of great brand name clothing, quality dishes for the kitchen, and is decently sized. The furniture section is pretty small but you could find a few couches, tables, and a variety of lamps and more. The dressing rooms are always very clean which I appreciate. I got a record from here that was 99 cents which is awesome, just need the patience to sort through the shelves in the back to find the one you want. I got a classical music record, but they seem to have at least 200 to look through. They have a decent amount of shoes if needed as well. My only suggestions is they may need to invest in some more carts for the store. When I was there (wasn't even super crowded in my opinion) there were only two left and one of them was very difficult to push. The staff is helpful and very polite as well. Highly recommend this Goodwill for those looking for a great bargain deal! read more

Yay! I'm a fan. For a thrift store, things are well organized and pretty neat. I found some great items at great prices. I didn't realize that the Vintage store inside closes earlier than the regular store. (Vintage store closes at 6PM) I didn't get to check out the Vintage store but I will definitely be back to dig up more interesting pieces. read more

My Sunday started by visiting the Goodwill store in Delray Beach searching for the ultimate hoochie dress with my girlfriend. We have a big red-carpet event coming up in Miami we decided to peruse the local thrift shops bargain hunting for something slutty, yet trendy. We struck out at the Delray Goodwill store location, they just did not have the caliber clothing to fit the bill... On the other hand, they were well stocked, had ample parking and has a wide variety of merchandise for re-sale. Everything from furniture to home-interior, clothing to electronics are available at this location. So I do recommend Delray Goodwill for the bargain hunter at heart. read more

Horrible, clothes that are on the racks should never even be sold the condition is beyond used damaged and salvageable. The person that rated this so high must have really had time to lie. I will be completely honest in my review, DO NOT waste your time coming to this location. This location has clothes and furniture, I did not go to the furniture side. I typically go to the Goodwill to search for one of a kind pieces and sometimes I get lucky finding vintage or designer pieces that I can't walk away from. Truly disappointing! read more

Terrible for a so called "Goodwill" store. The manager ha permitted "resellers" to completely take over this location. They must have paid off the manager because they are allowed to stand and loiter at the stockroom room door waiting for employees to roll out the cart. Nothing of any quality makes it past them. Very intimidating for the average person. This goes on all day every day. The director of this organization needs to step in and stop this practice. They have basically become a place where resellers set up their business. They even post stuff for resale before they even pay for it. I believe they "tip" the employees for advanced info on what is about to come out on carts so they dont miss it. Prices are being changed at the register for them, employees even hand deliver items to these resellers without putting it out on the floor, cart after cart all day. My favorite goodwill in Florida by far. Lots of good quality stuff! The proximity to the riches of the A1a mansions helps.

I was amazed just how many people were packed into this place. There was actually a shortage of parking spaces. Anyway, this was a pretty typical Goodwill Store. There was nothing that really seemed to stand out, but then again, one person's trash is another's treasure. If you are looking for random stuff, I guess this location could be ok, but not exactly a great spot to do some serious picking. read more

This place is awesome! This is one of the best Goodwill stores I have ever been in. It's well organized, clean, and pretty spacious. The prices of the items are fantastic! I picked up a brand new Tahiri Skirt Suit for $7.99!! What an amazing deal! Lots of quality clothing items. I stopped to check out their restrooms. The bathroom was clean without any unpleasantness. I am an avid "thrifter" through and through. A thriftaholic, if you will. I truly get a rush from sorting through decades of clothing and pulling out the perfect designer piece with a $3 price tag. At this Goodwill in particular, I've had many, many of those finds. Everything is clean and well organized, from the clothing to the furniture to the vintage shop, which is pricier than the main store, but still extremely reasonable. To give you an idea of the success I've had at this Goodwill: I worked for 9 months at Ralph Lauren. Needing clothes for work, I'd bring the Ralph Lauren catalogues with me to Goodwill every month so I could find similar outfits to wear. I was successful every time. Truth be told, I would receive more compliments from customers on the clothing I got from Goodwill than my new, massively expensive Ralph Lauren pieces. (I did, by the way, find Ralph Lauren there as well). This store is like my dirty little secret. People can't believe it when I tell them where I get my clothing. It's also nice to know that whenever it's time to go through my own closet and retire parts of my wardrobe, I can put back into the Goodwill pool what I've taken out. It's fun to go and occasionally see my old clothing on the racks, looking nice, for someone else to enjoy. read more
