Inside it's a warren of different rooms -- where you could easily get lost. Lots and lots of clothes -- especially women's. In most cases sorted by type, but not sorted by size. Bric a brac, housewares; electronics; china and glassware, office supplies, books, children books, toys, hats/scarves/bathing suits; golf and sports equipment; paintings; and a separate boutique of higher end stuff. The day we came all clothing was $5. So if you had the patience... I bought two small things under $2 each, but most things were more expensive. I'm glad we came. Now we know.

Blessings and Bargains has several rooms filled with household goods, children's toys, men's, women's, and children's clothing, accessories, small appliances, glassware, collectibles, linens, books, puzzles, and art. Antique Row…read morebegan as a handful of antique businesses that sprang up in the 1970's in an area that had been on the decline. By 1979 there were seven dealers on the 3700 block of Dixie Highway. Antique Row received a boost from a 1990's Architectural Digest article declaring it the best place in West Palm Beach to find treasures from 1920s Art Deco to mid-century modern. By 2003, Antique Row was drawing comparisons to the Rue de Beaune in Paris and New King's Road in London. Today trendy restaurants have joined the antique stores and there is a popular annual street fair. Patricia's Gallery is owned by the Countess Patricia Pingree-Clouet, a French curator, designer, and collector who hand picks antiques to mid century items from private collections, estates, and homes all over the world. Patricia worked for five years in Paris for the fashion house Coco Chanel under Karl Lagerfeld. Some of the items in the store Patricia designs herself. Prices are more than I can afford but I had fun looking. While I was browsing the gentleman working gave a very interesting lecture on Victorian era spoon warmer cups. They were filled with hot water so you could dip your spoon in and heat it before eating your soup during a time when the kitchen was often far from the dining room. One of the stores clients collects them and has repurposed them as individual flower vases at each place setting. I had never heard of them before so it was interesting to learn about them. I wish I could have stuck around for more stories. Perhaps another time.

The price at that point was $3400, and my portion of that was $340 - which is all I get paid for this sale. Because of the holiday, it took until Tuesday for my clients' payment to clear. At that point, I made an offer and inadvertently put in the retail price instead of the trade price. As soon as I sent it, I realized the error and messaged her, letting her know what had happened and asking her not to process it. I also tried to contact Chairish for help but their customer service is pretty much non-existent at this point. You cannot get ahold of them for days at a time. Nonetheless, the payment went through. I then messaged Patricia to ask her to please refund me the $340. She has declined to do so, saying that it is 'out of her hands' - which is patently ridiculous, since she can certainly mail me a check. I will not be buying from her again, and I am going to continue to pursue this matter.

It is always fun to discover a new business like this one. Linda's specializes in carefully curated antiques and vintage pieces. They were having a sidewalk sale along with what was in the store. They had some clothing, fun sunglasses, bags, accessories, home goods, furniture, and books. Lind has a website where she posts some of the things she has for sale. Linda was lovey to chat with. I believe I overheard her say that right now she is only open two days a week. If you catch her open, this a charming store to check out. it is right across from the library in downtown Lake Worth Beach.
