Prices here are very reasonable -- especially for Boca -- on most items. If there are too many people inside, however, you'll be waiting to pass each other in a narrow aisle. Donations from Boca residents are the best -- and you might snag a designer item for a pittance. Keeping this shop on the list to return to soon. The gal behind the counter was very nice. The items were then given to the people who worked on them or resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. This Goodwill store is one of their boutique locations that sell name brands and may be priced higher than a traditional Goodwill store. Some boutique locations have tried to make their stores look nicer but this small store looks like a traditional Goodwill. In addition to clothes, they sell home decor, art, jewelry, and accessories. I noticed a blue coach purse was selling for $35. On the day I visited green tags were 50 percent off. I found 14 pieces of my grandmothers china pattern that was marked down from $25 to $12.50. I was helped by the sweetest sales girl Winter. She shared in my delight at finding the china. There is a lot of thrift stores in this immediate area and this is a good one to check out.

The employees, in general, are friendly, helpful and professional. The older female cashier is sometimes somewhat friendly but quite often nasty and rude to customers. It is so sad that the Everglades has become a place where people dump their unwanted pets out to die. I love the mission of this charity and I love this thrift store. The 7,000 square foot Deerfield Beach store is crammed with treasures. The store is run by volunteers and filled with items donated by the community. Some of it is very nice and I even saw a few antiques. Inventory includes, jewelry, furniture, clothes including evening dresses, accessories, collectibles, art, electronics, household goods, seasonal decorations, and an extensive by thrift store standards, pet section. Some of the higher end items are sold in their eBay store. My favorite find was a formal English portrait with a terriers head on a humans body. I saw a recent news story that said thrifting for presents has become popular because not only is it less costly to buy gifts and you can find unique items but it is good for the planet to reuse things instead of throwing them away. It is the in thing to thrift. So come here and support an organization that is saving dogs lives and helping the planet at the same time. I just found my new favorite place to donate!
