Today my family and I were shopping Atlantic Ave. We walked in the back door and were immediately reprimanded that we cannot use that door to enter and that she was about to lock the store to take a restroom break. The Colony restroom is near Spice, I asked would she mind if we just begin shopping...very curt I was informed NO! Our husbands came in the front entrance only to hear us being reprimanded for exiting a door that states "Exit" Did I mention this happened to me twice?! Extremely Disappointing. The sales person suggested that we check on the items in their Delray store. We'd been to the Boynton store a few times & had bought a teak bench. The Delray store selection is somewhat different. They have a large side yard with an enormous (for the size of the store) collection of pottery planters, decorative objects and more. Inside the small air conditioned space is an eclectic mix of decorative objects from around the world. Although my taste tends to run to modern pieces, I found myself drawn to a small table that is not like anything else we own. We bought this little table that looks as if it would come alive, if only in a Disney animated movie!

It's near the Blue Anchor Pub, just before you go over the Intracoastal on your way to the beach. A Blast From the Past is owned by Dee Ziemba and it is made up of two boutiques, a couture boutique in front of the store selling designer handbags, shoes, clothing, and accessories, and a vintage boutique in the back with costume jewelry, hats, and collectibles. There was so much interesting art and beautiful porcelain but my favorite part of the store was the costume jewelry. It reminded me of all the time I spent looking through my grandmas jewelry box. I loved examining all of the gorgeous enamel pins and earrings that used to adorn the classiest of ladies. I also loved a Chanel bag and a really cool pair of Gucci sunglasses.
