This place looked vaguely familiar when we stopped by, but guess I'd not done a review before. I don't remember it having been a supporter of ministries -- which is who the shop says they donate to... And I certainly didn't recognize the young man who was working there -- and very much enthralled by his cellphone. In any case, even though we didn't buy anything here, they had decent prices. It's mainly furniture and mattresses with a tiny bit of household goods. There's also a small section up a few stairs that has women's and men's clothes, etc. If you're looking for a living room chair or end table, then this might offer some options. We saw a Chinese style wood coffee table for $40 and an easy chair (leather and wood) that appealed for $75. Prices on the furniture were reasonable. It was in decent condition and clean. I'd skip this store if you're looking for clothing though. Nothing much worthwhile seeing here. One nice thing -- besides the furniture -- was that everything was pretty clean -- well dusted -- and the store was navigable. You could easily walk around the small store. read more

Deerfield Thrift is a family owned business. Owners Loren and Pheona wanted to create a strong bond with their community. They aim to sell afforadable items that everyone can afford and luxury items that are more expensive but that will generate money for charity. They also advocate thrift as a way of recycling keeping items out of the landfill and putting them in the hands of the people who need them. Deerfield Thrift donates to the non profit Deerfield Beach Christian Ministerial Association through the Church of Brotherly Love. Deerfield Thrift sells furniture, clothes, jewelry, collectibles. The store is small but they had some interesting furniture like a bar I really liked. I also liked a lighthouse planter. In addition to the used items they had a room with new mattresses which they will deliver. There are a lot of thrift and consignment stores in this area so it is worth stopping in if you are in the area. Also the nearby Pickle Barrel is an excellent lunch stop. read more

Had a wonderful experience today at this family owned Thrift!! They have so many beautiful decor and furniture pieces, mattresses, a few clothing items, vintage perfume bottles, vintage wall decor, lamps - etc! I got the most perfect lamp I'd been on the hunt for for months. It's inscribed from 1987 and I'm thrilled it's actually a "vintage" find and not some overpriced modern piece. The gentleman working there was so friendly and even gave me an ice cold bottle of water for my drive home. 10/10 - will be returning! read more

There are a lot of thrift store choices in the area and this one does not make the grade. The tems are overpriced and they don't offer any sale prices or discounts. There were several items I wanted but when I asked for a reduction in price they said no so I just walked out. So I guess they would rather not sell it at all. Wow! What a great little discovery! I passed by on the way to Sunday Brunch and was surprised to see that they were open on a Sunday. Of course I couldn't resist stopping in. They have a nice selection of clothing for men, women, and children, as well as housewares and home decor. There are 2 fitting rooms as well. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I found a great pair of pants in my size (petite is not that easy to find) for $2!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to go back next time I am headed up in that direction. read more

This place is awesome! Went in looking for bar stools and left with an electric drum kit for my kids. The family that runs this place is incredible. Colton not only boxed up the kit for me to pick up later, but he labeled all of the pieces so we'd be able to easily assemble. His dad also came back after closing up the shop to let me pick up after hours. Couldn't be more thankful - I'll be back as often as possible! read more

Everything has not opened. Pretty good deal to me. I saw converse for $6, it's slight use. Sadly, it's not my size (the size is 3 and I'm a 5). This is one of our first stops when visiting our place in Florida! They always have such an eclectic assortment of items.... ranging from antiques (my favorite!) to collectibles to down right funky! We have decorated our place with several items purchased from here. My husband loves the t-shirt collection (plain to graphic T's)... always clean and always priced right! In fact, I found a Foreigner t-shirt a few days before I took my son to see them play! Also, if you like records, they have a great assortment. I just recently added to my collection with some "new to me" Willie Nelson, Rolling Stones, Waylon Jennings, The Who and Merle Haggard! Definitely stop in and be sure to say hello to Loren and Pheona, they are great! This is the unique thrift shop where you can find some really bizarre stuff, not a typical Salvation Army. I got a really cool teal leather sidebag a while ago and they also have some vintage jewelry. A good place to get a really strange gift item. Immediately confronted by a nasty employee (or possible owner?) who told me that they do not allow pets because of a prior incident. Despite my telling him that he was an Emotional Support dog, he still insisted that I leave. Mind you, I was holding my dog as well. I absolutely love coming to the Deerfield thrift store. Not only did I find some amazing records here I also got a great canopy bed frame and hammock for my home. I walked in and was just browsing around, I noticed that some of the things that I liked had yellow tags on them. I walked up to the store employee with an item and asked if there is any sort of sale (since a lot of thrift stores will do a color of the week sale or something similar). He snapped back at me "THAT IS THE SALE PRICE" and then he and his friends had a good laugh at my question. $6 for a worn out heavily used sports bra? No thanks. Now I know why all the shoes were sitting on the shelf collecting dust (all of the shoes literally have dust all over them). Prices are SUPER high for not great quality items (I noticed a lot of items had snags rips and stains ) and the people are very rude. I would never come back to this store again. There are other thrift stores that are wayyyyy better than this one, bargain-wise and customer service. read more
