A school social worker puts in a request and Note in the Pocket takes care of the rest and delivers the clothing to the school. Note in the Pocket takes donations of gently used clothing. These are then sorted, processed to make sure the clothing meets the quality for these students. They even have an Amazon wishlist. For the last ten years there has been a Socks & Undies 5K Fun Run (or walk). They want to clothe 10,000 children in 2023. There is a virtual run for those that cannot go in person. Note in the Pocket has been a rewarding place to volunteer and donate as they are doing good one child at a time.

For a NONPROFIT who wants to keep the landfills from filling up and recycling "another man's treasure" and helping those who have limited budgets- they need to rethink their pricing! ESPECIALLY if you can go to big box stores and purchase items for 50% LESS opposed to purchasing at THIS particular store. I was floored to say the very least. Examples: 2 diamond art painting kits- their price: $4.99/go to Hobby Lobby and purchase the EXACT same kit for $3.50! Plain clear glass vases for arrangements-their price $5.99/ go to The Dollar Store and purchase the exact same vase for $1.25! Or go to At Home and purchase other bigger vases for less than the $19.99 prices they had! A framed generic picture (not art work- A PRINT) in a plastic frame $44.99!!! My lesson for the day: I will NEVER take another item to this Goodwill store and more than likely any goodwill store if this is how they want to support a community. Even if it is a couple of miles from my home and convenient! I'll go out of my way to support another charity- donating and purchasing! This was an eye opener and it really disappointed and saddened me. I truly hated to give this review but BUYER BEWARE. PS: The Goodwill store in the Brier Creek area has some better prices and IMHO better selection. And I spent money there! So much for not wasting my time. Maybe management will see this scathing review and so something about it. But I doubt it.

You never know what you will find at any GCF. I had been looking for bedside lamps on Amazon for…read moreweeks. The local GCF had 2 lamps that caught my eye were such a great price. They are adjustable height lamps that work perfectly and had shades included. My plan is to bedazzle and bling lamps but current conditions are so nice I just cleaned lamps and put new bulbs in to start using them. I cant believe I only paid $7.99 each. Very sturdy, classic lamps were a true steal when you consider even at Ross ,Marshall's or other discount stores these lamps would easily sell for over $50 each. Now im pulling them into my Alexa system and LET THERE BE LIGHT

I wanted to give this Goodwill location four stars. I really did. The selection was great - the…read morestore was small, but had a wide variety and lots of brand-new items (tags on and everything). The housewares included lots of things you'd never expect to find at a Goodwill. They had a handful of brand name electronics and even some Coach shoes. I managed to pick up some very nice items - I was definitely pleased with the fruits of my trip. If only if weren't for the staff. At about 25 minutes before closing time, they turned off half the lights in the store. Included in that half of the store was the dressing room. Ever tried on clothes in the dark? Of course not, because that defeats the entire purpose. Then, once I got out of the dressing room and was waiting to check out, one of the employees was (quite brusquely) herding people towards the register, then hovered just behind the line imposingly. When a couple walked into the still-unlocked door, she very rudely told them the store was closed and to come back tomorrow. I'd say that if you go early in the day, don't ask any questions of the staff, and take an antihistamine (the dressing room was VERY dusty), you'll have a great experience at this Goodwill location.
