So, first of all, I have yet to talk to someone who likes this place. Almost everyone says they won't shop at this particular location. I have preferred the one in Saline, MI. The Goodwill in Adrian does not have a great selection of anything. I didn't think much about it, until today. I found 2 bath towels, and two hand towels on a sturdy hanger with a price tag of 4.99. I took them off the hanger because when I shop at Sal Army in A2 we're asked to take things off the hangers, and I just got into the habit of doing it to help the process. And I take it up and the woman looks it and looks at me and says she needs to double check the price. I'm confused. I said "oh, no they were all on one hanger". She says "no, it's not you". There were no other tags on the other towels. That was the only one. She bundles them up and takes them back to the "manager". She comes back a few minutes later (this is hilarious) Points to the tag: See it says 4.99 PLUS TAX (she emphasizes that part). Not 4.99 for the set. At this point, I'm annoyed but mostly confused. I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever had this happen. One hanger - one price. Along with a few choice words about the manager. But it got me thinking - You can never find anything of quality in this place. And I've heard rumors of workers getting first pick and taking things for themselves. Like I said - weird. But if they're allowed to change the rules once you get to the counter - why bother going? On top of that - it's just weird. My husband won't go there because it just doesn't come across as clean and well kept. If you're in need of a thrift shop - go down to OH or up to Saline. read more

Goodwill needs to be boycotted. The Prices are outrageous. For items they get for free & used . Forgive me, but I am old enough to remember - The As-Is Store Goodwill. 25cent pieces etc. Get real. This isn't new Items they are selling they get them for free. New items from a Store are cheaper. It is supposed to be for the poor. What does God think? Greedy company. Very Greedy after years of low prices and clothing people with lower income. Disgusting new era. read more

Love goodwill always awesome deals and reasonable prices and very nice customer service they are always great.

Big let down! I purchased a "new" storage organizer in the box. Prior to my purchase I asked to see the item but the clerk said they can't let me open up the box. Once home I took it from the taped up box and saw it was missing a panel. I called and spoke to the manager, and assumed she'd allow me to return it. Nope. She said that's not "her" policy. When I asked why the staff doesn't check this stuff before putting it on the sales floor she flippantly responded that they can't check everything and it's always a buyer-beware. I am so disappointed that they wouldn't at least give me a store credit. When complaining about this to a Goodwill staff member again last week he let me know that they are known for having poor business practices and said he wished he could change that. read more

I have been of a coat for so long and was thrilled to find a very nice Columbia coat that for the first time actually fit it had a red tag but no price sitting right on a rack by the register so I walked over and ask an employee how much coats are she took one look and took it from me saying she could not sell it to me without a price tag it had to be held for 48 hrs before it could be sold so I looked all over the rack to find nothing was priced so she came back and went through and pulled all Columbia and nike anything name brand and said none of it should have come out I will never go back to this crooked store again read more
