Good shopping. Smaller store but a great variety. Staff is nice. And helpful. Green tag was 50% off

This location needs a better review than the last one, so I'm here to give it. I visit a lot of…read moreGoodwills in the region, and this is one of the best. Employees seem to know everyone but are nice regardless of who you are. The store is large and well organized, but be aware they don't use colored tags but rather colored barbs on all of the products. If you're used to tags, this can be a bit of a confusion at first. Their sales are much better than the ones from my region in Cincinnati. They do flat pricing on 90% of items with only a small markup on popular brands. On Saturdays, color of the day is 75% off. Back home, we're lucky to get 50% and it's a weekly thing so it gets wiped out quickly. I scored bags and bags of clothes for an average of $1 a piece. All name brands, all in great condition. If you're in the area for Cedar Point or just needing a new place to go, I'd recommend this Goodwill. It's always packed, so be aware of that, but it's reasonable.

What an interesting experience at Goodwill to say the least. Stopped here to see what they had to…read moreoffer. The place has a distinct smell that hits you at the door. There are tons of rows of clothing, and there are some decent options. The electronics and other departments are very disappointing and most of the items don't even work. This Goodwill was very dirty, and wasn't that kept up. Thought it would be a little more kept up since it's always busy, and since it's in a popular city. Would only shop here for the clothing, but after that I wouldn't stop here.

I've been meaning to stop at a Plato's closet for a while, so yesterday when I was passing through…read moreSandusky, I saw this location right there on route 250 so I stopped in to check it out with my teenage son. The selection was OK, not a lot of men's options while looking through the racks didn't really see anything we were interested in. But as we were leaving, we saw some mannequins behind the registers with some shirts on that we really liked. After finally getting the attention of the cashier, we were told that those were not for sale and that they were some part of a drop. Not really sure what that means, especially considering it's a used clothing store. I couldn't comprehend why you would have something on display, but not for sale. I would think having things on display, but not actually selling to a customer would seem like a poor business practice, especially when the customer is standing right in front of you willing to spend money in your store. So my question: is this really Plato's closet practice to have clothes hanging up but not for sale to the customer? If so, I would have to say I would have no desire to shop at any of these stores again because why would I wanna come in, find something I like and then be told I have to come back a month later to pick it up....maybe if it's still there.

This is a nice little thrift shop. Decent prices and good selection. I even purchased a shirt,…read morewhich is saying something for me. Our girls bought some things as well. It's right off route 250, and easy on off. Check them out, support local.
