Nowadays you can't really go to Goodwill locations expecting super cheap bargains. Let's face it, their prices can be on par with retail clearance prices. Why I go, is for the hunt and to support the idea of giving old items new life. What do they have that's unique? Are there any holiday items that I don't have to buy new? This location was pretty packed full of items and had some unique decor and brands. I can see coming back every few weeks to see what's new. Didn't really interact with staff or donate, so I can't speak to either of those. But, what I did do is browse, see what's on offer and take a chance. Decent location-clean with lots of parking. This Goodwill has quite a lot of inventory and it's pretty organized. I found a pretty glass tier tray that didn't have a price tag on it and the sales associate went in the back and got a price for me: $9.99, which I thought was pretty good compared to other Goodwills I've recently perused in the Bay Area. I decided to give this store a go, despite the ratings and I am glad I did! It was half off day, so it was pretty busy, but staff were pleasant and the selection was great! The prices were in the mid range thrift category, so the 50% made it super reasonable. A few areas to improve... so much of the clothing was falling off the hangers and super hard to cull through in some areas. I think part of it had to do with half off day, so I'm not gonna go too hard on that topic. There were a ton of super worn or ripped trousers/work pants - priced at full price. Those should either a) be thrown away or b) be priced accordingly. The quality control overall was a little lacking, saw quite a few stained items, holes in thighs/groin area. With all that said, I still found a ton of items and would recommend. I will definitely return. read more

Went into goodwill yesterday with my sister in law we got greeted by kimmy which made our day better super sweet and had a amazing experience with her, the linen lady was being very rude to me, and wouldn't let me look into the totes so I complained to kimmy and she brought Jennifer over and I spoke to her she was super nice and apologized for the ladys behavior, she was very professional when I spoke to her, goodwill is very lucky to have an amazing manager! read more

About what you'd expect from a Goodwill. The prices are pretty high for a thrift store, sometimes higher than buying something new. It's organized pretty well, but cramped. I think they're overworking their staff, as they always seem stressed and busy, often leaving the register to assist in the back. The outside is always crowded with massive boxes of donations, often making it difficult or impossible to use the sidewalk to get to the store. Sometimes, you can score something nice, like older clothing that is built to last, but in general, you'd be better off going to St. Vincent de Paul or another thrift store. read more

The donation center hours were posted as 9am, however the employees firmly said they do not open or accept donations until 10am. (This was recently updated to 10am, the correct time now apparently?) Seeing as how all other Goodwill donation centers I went to, they opened at 9 (for donations, not the store), I thought this was incorrect because it had been posted that the time was 9am. But either way, I took my donations to St. Vincent instead. Most Goodwill locations are pretty cool but this is the first time I had a bad experience at one. The lady at the door was rude and condescending about the time, when a simple "come back in an hour" would have sufficed. Definitely worth trying other locations if you're looking to drop off items. I recommend Shepherds Gate in Livermore or St. Vincent. Both are wonderful. read more

It used to be a nice store with different collectible things at a good price. Not any more. Prices are high even for the things you can buy at a dollar store. The shelves are now almost empty, no good dishes, dolls, collectibles etc..Donations are huge every day. Where is the stuff? Bad management? This store was created to help poor people to buy things and clothing at a good price. Now the prices here are higher for old things, You can buy new things at Ross, Target, Walmart etc. at the same or lower prices. SHAME !!!! read more

Really is unpleasant dealing with the people who are suppose to receive the donations. They are very abrupt! one person in particular the man who works front door. Their hours fluctuate according to they're mood apparently. I have to make more trips back. I like Goodwill, only a I wish it was not so expensive. I always donate clothes, household items etc., however now it looks more like a pricey stores. I always thought Goodwill was for helping people. I understand that prices go up, but come on now. People might as well go to Macy's or those expensive stores. I came here the day they opened after covid 19. This place is in a shopping center so there's a lot of parking. I read some of the reviews not sure what people expected this is donated clothes. You'll find some treasures but for the most part it is used clothes. I found it to be very organized and they had a lot of selections. They have a lot of things prices are very low. They have senior discount days on Wednesday. The cashier told me on Sundays they have color days. They pick different Sundays and different color of clothes are discounted. This place was an indoor trash dump with safety concerns. The donations entrance was so flooded with donations, they were out the door & all over the sidewalk. There was so much stuff, the store was unshoppable. The isles were over crowded. I almost stabbed myself on a knife on a bottom shelf. I did cut myself on a sharp wire while very carefully looking through what appeared to be a tote of art supplies. Then I saw what appears to be a telescope in a box on the top shelf hanging over. I'm sure that would hurt if it fell on someone, especially a kid (it was in the kid area). The employees were not helpful at all & all looked like they hated their life. read more

Very busy, but I found what I was looking for pretty easily. Prices have gone up by 30-35% or so.

I usually like goodwill most of the time and I don't have problems but the two woman that work at this particular one, during the day are super rude and don't like when the prices are super low on the items for some reason. We bought a giant sized teddy and we were trying to be friendly, mentioning we were buying it for our baby sister and how she would be so excited and she completely ignored us and didn't even respond to us. If you go I recommend going during the afternoon or later in the day, there's two gentlemen that's are the complete opposite and super friendly. Other then that the main reason why the review is not lower is because they have a good selection when it comes to clothes, but if your looking for men's clothes don't come here, reasoning being that they have barely anything for men, there DVD's are 99 cents are they do have other really good deals if you look. For a company that makes 100% profit off of their inventory, they should treat their customers with kindness. I always love thrift shopping, and at times I have found great items here!But the past few months I've come across rude employees and overpriced items. Recently I tried to return an item and buy two others with store credit. But the employee argued with me and would only exchange the shorts for another pair of shorts (that were half off). So my $5 previous purchase was only valued at $2.50. I'm not upset about the price, but the overall attitude of the employee. Very short, negative, and not understanding. I recommend going to st. Vincent de Paul. Very happy workers and the profits go to charity (not Goodwill "job experience"). read more

Never in the four years I've had a service dog have I or my dog be harassed and accosted the was I was when we made of of our pretty regular trips to the Goodwill. Ranee called me a p**** of S*** for havimg my service animal walking around with me and for someone suffering from PTSD I found this very upsetting. read more

COVID-19 has been tough on all of us. Some of the people that it's been toughest on are the employees at Goodwill. They are getting piles and piles of donations and they often run out of space for these donations and they have to turn people away. Sometimes tpeople get very frustrated. I just want to give a shout out to two of the employees their goodwill, Vestino and Carlos . I was recently trying to give a donation this past weekend and the donation bins were full. I watched as Vestino politely and calmly told patrons that they would have to come back the following day. Vestino did this over and over again with a smile and pleasant tone. This is a decent thrift store. It's definitely worth checking out. But it's busy and sometimes it has a dirty smell to the place. I'm sorry if that comes across as snobby to some of you. I guess I'm being a little picky and maybe I'm expecting too much from a thrift store. What is obvious to anyone is the place gets tons of donations and the employees usually appear to be overwhelmed. And at times the merchandise is in dissaray. That can happen anywhere when a place gets so busy(just to be fair). All that being said, I've gotten lots of clothes and other items there.
