    Goodwill Store and Career Center

This is a very organized Goodwill store. As you walk into the store, the shoes are organized in the Boutique section. The clothes are organized in sections. I was able to find name brand jeans to wear to a Diamond and Jeans party. The store has public restrooms and fitting rooms. Check it out for yourself

I've always been told that Goodwill was an "expensive" secondhand store, that's why I never shopped here until this past week. I attended a lunch & learn here then decided to take a look around since I learned a lot of good thrifting tips. This store doesn't look too big on the outside, but once I came inside it was huge! As part of the lunch and learn, I got to look at the warehouse portion of the store too. It was huge! There were so many items back there! When I got to the store portion, I tried on some Athleta leggings and lots of cute dresses. I ended up buying two dresses for only $6.99 each! I love both of them! Most of their items are at a set price for all items no matter what brand the item was. Like $6.99 for all dresses. Some high end items might have been priced higher though, but not by more than a few dollars! Seeing all the donations really made me want to declutter all the stuff I rarely use at home and let other people find their treasure

Compared to the Goodwills in Athens & Madison, this one is great. I found a good bit of stuff & could've left with even more.

Good hidden gems! Found a few name-brand items. And there were a lot of sale items still with the colored tag sale.

I use to not care much for Goodwill, but I went the other day and it's much more clean and organized then it has ever been before.

Worst selection of over priced goods and salvage target goods. Customer from pricers is horrible

Ask the Community - Goodwill - Birmingham

Will Goodwill pickup items from my home?

Yes, Goodwill does do home pick-up. It's called priority pick-up and they contract for this service with ReSupply. They come inside and disassemble anything that you like and will take anything. They also have donation centers all over so you can…

Over the years, I've usually ended up going in if I'm looking for something specific for a school project, costume, or odd household item. I hadn't been in a while, and I was taken aback by just how bad it smells. I know thrift clothes and used household items never smell fantastic, but I honestly think it smells worse than it used to smell. I was also disappointed in the amount of furniture they had. There wasn't a lot, and what they did have was not really even in fair shape. Lots of broken pieces. There is also a lot of new merchandise. Most of the Halloween items are new. There are endcaps of new merchandise at the registers. The mattresses are new, which is great, but there are no used bed frames (metal), just the brand new ones they have being sold at retail prices. I also miss the 'collectible' cases where better/more expensive items were kept. If it's still in the store somewhere, I haven't seen it, so I don't know what they're doing with nicer items that are donated.

Good thrift store! You will be sure to find something cool/useful here every trip!…read more However, they are not exempt from the "thrift-flation" that seems to be overtaking this country. With a rise in vintage style, these once reasonable thrift stores will list trendy and name brands at high prices. Now i don't mean 50+$ but items you could get at a salvation army for $3-5 would cost ~$10-15 or even $20 (for jackets typically) here. Also due to resellers and vintage shops, many good items are quickly found by said sellers to sell purely for personal gain and not really available to normal people who are just looking to find clothes to wear out and about without concern for fashion. Beware people in carhartt who look like they've never done any job that warrants workwear! Still a great place to find clothes for a fraction of the price of newly bought items!
