I was looking for some vintage Alabama gear which is what prompted this visit. I didn't see anything. I still looked around but nothing caught my eye. We go to thrift stores all the time, we love them, and…read morewe have heard good things about this one so decided to stop in and check out what all the buzz was about. I never like to write a bad review, but i always am a honest yelper. So for starters, the store has no atmosphere, all of the merchandise was, to say the least, not organized at all. And the merchandise they had was junk. Like i said we only buy most things from the thrift, so for us to say this one is bad, that's saying something. I would say maybe stop in and look around if your near it, but don't drive far to come to it for sure.

They are great about having things in season, although prices have gone up a little in clothing. Lots of name brand items with major savings if you take the time to look. Still, for the last 3-4 visits I have been able to easily snag around 7 items in a haul every time for around $30! They also have a Clover rewards system to get discounts after you purchase a certain amount of items.

And then I noticed the jewelry, because the last time I visited I was looking for mystery jewelry jars and today I was happy to see five or six baggies absolutely full of costume jewelry that appeared wearable along with beads and watch parts and just everything I could use for crafting and repurposing with jewelry. So, I purchased two jewelry bags and the contents did not disappoint me when I opened them at home. So, it was another productive and great day shopping at Sozo Trading Co. In addition, there is always plenty of free parking and if you have the time there are a couple of restaurants nearby.

I never made it to the second store, which I hear is full of artwork and furniture, but I hope to next time. The first store (on the corner) was full of art deco, mid-century modern, and various other styles of lamps, decorative dishes, glassware, crockery, figurines and clothing plus so much more. Every square inch of the store is filled to the brim with everything you can imagine, but it isn't junky, instead it's very well organized. I did purchase several items at reasonable prices; especially given the excellent condition I found the vintage items in. Lord willing, I know what I want to buy the next time I visit the store - that is, if the items are still available. Lastly, there is free parking in front of the store, and you'll need to have cash with you, because I have a feeling you'll definitely see something you want to buy. Have fun!
