The prices are a bit higher than other thrift stores, but profits go towards the Assistance League of Birmingham's Operation School Bell and literacy programs. First, I love the fact that the proceeds are used for the Jefferson County Literacy Program. The front half of the store is filled with unique and high quality crafted items made by those that are 50+. They even take special orders on items. The back half of the store is an upscale thrift store that consists of name brand clothing, shoes, purses and jewelry. They often place the clothing items half off to make room for more donations. You can find everything from casual shorts and tops to suits and evening gowns for ladies. They do carry baby clothing up to a size 5 or so, shoes, toys, along with items such as strollers, high chairs and playpens. I'll try to summarize all the hidden treasures you can find from time to time with this list: books of all kind (I personally love the children's selection and old cookbooks), albums, dishes like China tea cups and place settings, serving pieces, small appliances, comforters, curtains, furniture, holiday items and various furniture pieces from from time to time.
