Awesome brewery tucked away in a quiet corner Williston, VT. Stopped in on a cycle brew travel day to a wedding reception in Vergennes and was impressed by the Baltic Porter and the Altbier! Both were extremely tasty on the sunny late June day.

This was the second stop on our brewery tour. We started with a quick, informative tour where we got to hear about the brewing process and even see ingredients used. Next we were taken into a room with high top tables prepared with tastings - several pours of a few beers in tap. Being part of a large group, I appreciated this as opposed to having to make my own flight. We were able to spend more time getting to know one another as we made our way through the pours . Had we picked our own flights, as we did at the previous brewery, I don't think we would have had this opportunity to mingle, also facilitated by the group seating arrangement. As far as drinks go nothing stood out. The ambiance however was nice, and the bathroom clean.

Nice little brewery. Glad to see they where serving beer to customers do to Covid-19 there are fewer breweries serving pours to customers. We tried a couple of there beers and I thought they where great!

Goodwater is a smaller brewery in a shopping center- but they make amazing beer. The people who work there are so nice, you can get flights and they will talk to you about brewing. They allow our furry friends which is the best. They also always have a cider- and it was probably the best cider I've ever had called Vermont ice.

It was a long line when we got there. Ordered drinks and food at the same time. After about 45 minutes still without our burger and salad. My wife asked for an update. They said there were some "kinks" in the kitchen and it was going to be about another half hour. A server came by to see if we wanted to order any drinks while we waited and was going to charge us until my wife questioned that. After checking with her manager, our server was able to get us complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. The "kinks in the kitchen" were really understaffing due to a lack of preparation for a busy weekend. About 45 minutes later, we got our food and asked for boxes to bring it home. I had ordered a Kale and beet salad with fried chicken for $19. This couldn't have been much more than 2 cups of salad. Once I opened it at home at around 9:00 p.m. and saw the three pieces of fried chicken remnants, I couldn't believe that this is what I waited 2 hours to eat. At no point was there any attempt at service recovery; No manager came by to update. It was an incredibly poor performance for this Winooski staple. It felt like they were treating everyone different as a one-time tourist customer, forgetting that there were possibly people there that are repeat customers. I felt bad for our server because she should not have been bearing the brunt of this on her own. She had no support from any manager. I'll stick to the beer, but won't bother with attempting food again.

This time had the Montreal style smoked meat sandwich with hand cut sweet potato fries and a glass of Great Bear Brown Ale. Wifey had a seasonal Octoberfest lager. Meat had excellent seasoning and was piled high. This really hit the spot! Inside outside patio both have a cool vibe.

We both ordered a cocktail that I cannot remember omg on the holiday menu but it came out with a slightly burnt rosemary which smelled delightful. For our meal we started off with the cheddar beignets and that was the star of the meal!! Sooo different and yummy. I got the fish and chips for my entree which was fried to perfection and yummy tartar sauce to pair with. My friend ordered the fried chicken meal with German potato salad to go with it which was also good!! I would definitely want to come back and take advantage of their weekly deals.

The "coleslaw" wasn't bad but I also wouldn't consider at coleslaw as it was just purple cabbage (on the pretty bitter vinegar side of things). Biscuit very good. The chicken was good and very hot and crispy, but it is exactly what it says it is on the menu.... Very large piece of chicken meat deep fried in fairly thick outer coating. Again, very good but thick and rich and certainly not a "light" option of theirs. The honey sauce on side is good but thick and sweet. Cocktails: Very good, nice variety of options, neither of the two drinks we got were too sweet. Ambiance: We sat at the bar. It was a warm and friendly environment. On the louder end, but didn't feel overwhelming. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend to others. Did not have a chance to try any of their oyster offerings this time around.
