We needed to get a quote for a couple of windows that needed to be replaced due to being damaged, and covered under insuance. We had a consultation at the house and were told we would recieve a quote in a couple days. We did not recieve a quote, which lead to us calling and leaving 5 messages with Chrissy. On the 6th call we finally got a hold of her, to then be told that the windows we were needing replaced would not be a match for insurance (which was never conveyed at the walkthrough of the house) and that it would be more expensive than what we had. I then asked if we could still get a breakdown of the quote to understand the differences. Chrissy proceeded to list numbers for a full install over the phone of an all inclusive package. When I asked for a breakdown of the pricing to fully grasp the whole package, she questioned whether we would really want to spend $3,500 per window and implied we could not afford it. Needless to say, it felt incredibly rude and condesending and we will not be giving Gravinas any business.

After shopping around, we determined that this offer was a decent one and decided to go for it. And I'm so glad we did. The windows certainly are not cheap, even with the discount they offered us, but they're top-of-the-line and come with a lifetime guarantee that even passes to the new owners if you sell your house. We had them replace all seven of our basement windows, and what a difference it has made! The windows, having two panes of glass with argon gas between them, have tremendously reduced the amount of street noise and helped to keep the temperature more stable. The installation was great: they did all seven windows in one day, cleaned up perfectly, and took the old windows away with them. When I got home that evening, it was hard to tell they'd been here at all. When it's time to replace more of the windows in our house, we will definitely come back to American Remodeling!
