I see why the reviews are so poor here. Unfortunately I just looked at the practice itself, and…read morethere are multiple locations, but the Yelpers really did hit the nail on the head. Staff was very rude, unfriendly. I get it's early, but the first impression in an office is the front desk. It is extremely important that you aren't made to feel like you're impositioning them by showing up for a scheduled appointment. Another suggestion would be to get insurance information before your appointment, which would expedidite things. So I didn't have a physical card, so was asked to emaii them. After 20 minutes, I went back up and asked if they got my email, and she simply nodded her head. Another ten minutes later, she calls me up to say she can't open my email. So more time wasted, and I'm trying to get her back to school and me to work. We saw the assistant, and she couldn't crack a smile if she wanted to. I expected a more warm personality for a child. She just stared at her, then told her to try a cream at night but that it might break her out so to take Doxycycline if she does, but said that was not needed, but later said she needs to take it and with food. I was so confused, like did you want her to take it or not. Then she also recommended a face cream for my daughter, and then later said her face was oily and she didn't need any extra moisture, so I was like, did you want her to use face cream or not, and she said well you can or you don't have to. Well thank you for the really informative session with you. I cannot get this time back, nor my money, but I can sure control on where to not recommend you go, and that is this place.

They were rude and spoke to me like I was dumb. I figured it was hormone related. My face never cleared up and got worse. I went to another dermatologist, Steele Dermatology, who I still see. She determined it was hormones and prescribed me a cream and pill. My skin cleared up and is glowing. I continue to see her every 2 months.

This was my first visit to Cleaver Medical Group as I've been on the hunt for a new Dermatologist…read moresince moving to the area. I had an appointment with Abby (Abigail) Wiseley, PA-C to do an annual full body "mole check". I was able to make my appointment myself on ZocDoc, fill out all my paperwork in advance thanks to ZocDoc, upload my ID and Insurance in advance thanks to ZocDoc which all made the check-in process SUPER fast. I had never used ZocDoc before so wasn't really sure how this was going to go. The one annoyance was that you get both email and text reminders repeatedly from both ZocDoc AND Cleaver Medical Group lol. So they really make sure you aren't going to miss your appointment! I really appreciated being able to make my own appointment online and to get all of my documentation completed prior to arriving. I waited maybe 5 minutes in the waiting room before I was brought back. The person who brought me back went through my medications list and wrote down any areas on my body that I may be concerned with. I changed into a gown and Abby came in about 5 minutes later. Abby went over some family history and fully explained what she was going to be doing and asked that I note the areas I am concerned with once she gets to them. She started on my scalp and went all the way to the in between of my toes and checked everything. She ended up taking a biopsy and was very gentle in doing this part as well. She was thorough and very helpful in understanding what the things were she was seeing and if they were of concern or not. I was there maybe in all 30 minutes...couldn't have been more than 45 minutes AND I didn't feel rushed and I got all of my questions answered. I would definitely recommend.

About a month ago, I brought my child to Cleaver Dermatology in Cumming. A PA named Matthew…read moreexamined her but seemed unsure about what the hole on her ear was. That was the first red flag. He decided the plan was to come back in a month for a procedure, but she needed to take antibiotics for two weeks beforehand. I picked up the antibiotics as instructed. The next day, I received a vague voicemail from Matthew saying, "Change of plans," with no further explanation. I called the office twice seeking clarification but never got a call back. Since I couldn't get more information, I moved forward with the original plan. I even received a confirmation text for today's appointment, so I assumed everything was on track. This morning, I called again to confirm the appointment, explaining the entire situation to the receptionist. She assured me that if we were on the schedule, the procedure would happen. I asked her to double-check and provide a quote. She promised to call me back with confirmation, but I never heard back. When we arrived at the office, I still didn't have a quote or confirmation. After waiting in the less-than-appealing lobby for over an hour (of course, the one time I forgot my phone), we were finally called back. Matthew came into the room, looked puzzled, and said he'd be right back. Twenty minutes later, he returned and informed us it wasn't a cyst but a pit, meaning they couldn't perform the procedure and we'd need to go elsewhere. Are you serious?! They had an entire month to figure this out and contact us. Now we've lost valuable time to get in with another provider, and my daughter unnecessarily took antibiotics for two weeks--something that should never happen unless absolutely needed. This experience was beyond frustrating and completely avoidable. Please, do yourself a favor and find another dermatologist. While the doctor himself may be competent, this is his business, and it's run under his control. Sadly, this lack of professionalism reflects poorly on the entire practice.
