I wish I could give 0 stars. PLEASE BEWARE OF UNETHICAL PRACTICES. I went for my annual physical. I was told that I can ask questions to the doctor and they will be considered part of annual physical. But at the end, they made me pay $225 only for office visit (for asking two questions which did not require any additional checkup) Moreover, I was told sugar is not covered by my insurance and I questioned that because I have never been charged by other providers for this but they did not agree. When I saw my report, turns out they ordered a new sugar test even though regular sugar testing was covered by insurance. And obviously, I had to pay extra for this. To end it, even the wait times are crazy - they make you wait really long for everything. For vitals, for doctor, for blood draw, for billing. I took 2 hours for my annual physical (which is insane!) and the real blood draw and conversation with doctor was hardly 10-15 minutes. read more

I've been hesitant to go to the doctor for a few years now (health anxiety and not the best experience with other doctors in the past) but I finally bit the bullet and went earlier this month. My Nurse Practitioner, Dina, is probably the best healthcare professional I have ever seen. She listened to all of my concerns (I am a 41 yo female so going through my hormones being out of whack) and knew exactly what to do to fix me! Because I had such a great experience with Dina, I have been going to multiple doctors after she referred me and everyone has been fantastic. This month has been a month of doctor visits and I am seriously impressed with the healthcare in the Sandy Springs area...legit the best doctors around! I just went back today for my physical and I am just obsessed with the entire staff at FPC; just good people. Good vibes all around...even to getting lab work done...10/10 with every part of this office. If you are scared to go to the doctor as a woman in her 40s (I know there are so many of us out there because I am in all the facebook groups too ladies)...I HIGHLY suggest asking for Dina. I came here for my first physical in over a decade and had a pleasant experience. Initially, I found this practice off my provider's in-network options; the reviews for Dr. Schramm are high on the website ~ I can see why. Things you should know: I. PARKING There is an easy-to-find and FREE parking garage. Be mindful of the designated physician spaces. The signs direct you exactly where to park according to the building ~ in this case, you'll be parking for building A. II. SERVICE The nurse was timely about pulling me back for my appointment. The wait for the doctor was another story. I think it was about 40 minutes into my appointment time before I saw my doctor. That all being said, expect your physical to take roughly 90 minutes of your day (including wait time). Dr. Schramm, however, makes the wait worth it. When it came to lab-work, the tech (Patricia) has phenomenal bedside manners. Before you know it, she has all the blood needed for tests. Simple. Fast. Painless. What you want. III. QUALITY The environment is clean, welcoming, and not coldly clinical in esthetic. It's good for families and someone with white-coat syndrome. They truly make you comfortable here. Dr. Schramm was also SO PATIENT about answering all my questions. His responses were unrushed and clear. I can see he has the best intentions. IV. CAPACITY About 4 other people were in the waiting room when I arrived but no one was there for long. I have been to many doctors in my life. Dr. Schramm stands out as personable, very intelligent and knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Schramm as a primary care doctor for whatever your need may be. His staff is superior. Everyone is polite and professional. After being with KP for 25+ years, my husband's insurance changed. We did our research and found the Family Practice Center. I have to admit, we were quite pleased; not only did the entire staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome, but our new doctor, Dr. Schramm and FNP-C, Rachel Spragnoli did not make us feel like a number. They both were NOT about just writing us a prescription and sending us on our way - - the way they showed great concern for our needs was above and beyond. The MA's Carols and Ashley made us feel welcomed and were quite knowledgeable. As did the Lab Technician, Ms. Pat. The front office staff was wonderful and highly professional. I chose Family Practice Center (Alpharetta/ Old Milton location) randomly out of providers in my network without much research, which is not typical of me because I usually research providers to death! Never have I had the experience with a family practitioner's office that was professional and thorough from start to finish. I initially called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Shram but he was booked out a couple weeks. I was asked if I was OK seeing their PA and hesitated, but scheduled with Alana Beserra. My mother saw a PA for years and swore by them vs. doctors so I was excited to meet her. Upon arriving for my first and second appointment, I was warmly greeted by Alexis ("Lex") who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly (outside of what is expected in her role). I filled out the paperwork on my 1st visit and did not wait but about another 2 minutes before someone called me back, measured my weight and height, and took me to a room where I did not wait but about 3-5 minutes for Ms. Alana Bessera to show up. #1. I have never had a GP visit this thorough in my life. For the first time, I was being asked all the questions, instead of telling them what I needed. #2. She has the bedside manner of an angel and her voice will tell you all you need to know! #3. She genuinely cares about me! --For the 1st time! I felt genuinely cared about! On my 2nd visit, I had to have bloodwork done with Patricia who is there on-site for (I think) LabCorp. She and I share so many laughs, Dr. Shram came over to make us laugh even more about the topic of discussion. I found him to be so likeable and funny. Patricia is awesome and I wish I could be friends with some of their staff outside of work. They are just that amazing. After my bloodwork was completed, I was walked up to the desk to checkout where I encountered, Cherice; the office manager. No wonder that place runs so well! She was knowledgeable, super friendly; as we shared stories and laughed a lot, and Lex was even laughing with us. I am so happy that I randomly chose this place, and am thinking, maybe I should do that with all doctor's and specialists in the future. Especially if I get other places this awesome! CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER WHO GETS LESS CONFUSED OVER BILLING. My unfortunate experience was at the Northside Professional Center. had a physical over a year ago and they would not let me see a doctor until they spoke to my insurance company, which is fine. The problem is that once they were certain I had coverage and after I paid any balance over my coverage the same day they are STILL SENDING ME BILLS FOR MY VISIT A YEAR AGO. I have called them multiple times and they can't seem to get their affairs in order. I'm not sure if I need to take this group to small claims court but I am feeling harassed, over charged and unfairly treated as it was my understanding that this bill was settled when I left my appointment. This is disappointing and costing me time. Also I was tired and having a bad week and the doctor immediately and strongly recommended Zoloft. Really? I know doctors are incentivized to sell harmful pharmaceuticals which makes it hard to trust doctors. If I would have known what I headache I would be dealing with in settling this incorrect bill maybe the Zoloft was a good idea. read more

I hadn't visited a doctor in 5 years and dreaded going because I had bad past experiences where I felt like just a number, staff was rude, and there was no personal connection. I became disillusioned and almost gave up on the notion that I could find a practice where I could feel confident in the care I receive. But all that changed when I visited Family Practice Center in Alpharetta. I needed a physical and chose Rachel Spagnoli. She is amazing and thorough and personable but my wonderful experience started when I first walked in the door. The front staff was smiley and engaging. The medical assistant was the same! Shocked to see that this office (Alpharetta/Old Milton location of Family Practice Center) got a one star review. Being a very tough critic that expects excellence and rarely sees it these days, I was happily shocked at the level of care and service I've received from this practice. As with the other 5 star review, I randomly picked this practice because they were in network. Although I did, as always, check reviews and saw that Dr. Schramm was reviewed very well on other sites (healthgrades, webmd). And when I called to make an appointment, someone answered, almost right away, what?.... I didn't have to sit on hold for 15 minutes to get a person to schedule an appointment. Oh and they were polite and caring about my problem, what mystical place had I called? And they were able to get me in relatively quickly, not weeks out. I've had a recent health issue that this practice has handled with utmost care and concern, I can't even tell you how impressed I am so far. I want to thank Dr. Schramm, Dr. Vo (he's awesome too) and Lexi (so kind and welcoming), Patrice and Patricia (both have a sense of humor and are so caring) for providing me with the best healthcare I've had in a long time.
