I have had a vein procedure in years past, and was very happy with the results and "Becky" for her ultrasound expertise.

This place is THE best for dermatology in the Alpharetta area. I have seen Dr. Niren for mole…read moreremovals (you can't even see the scar anymore). I also have seen her for general acne inquiries in which she thoroughly explained all of my options. More recently, she has diagnosed my pilonidal cyst. What you get with Dr. Niren is what I wish I could get from my dentist, my physician and my gyno: She is extremely nice, well-spoken, and educated. She LISTENS and does not rush you off, like 99% of the other doctors I have ever seen. She is the best, I wish I could see her for everything! I highly recommend Dr. Niren.

Went to get my annual dermatologist check up and all great! $450 later and a partial payment from our insurance. All good! I've had a small black mark on my right side for what must be 30 years +. I mentioned to Dr Amy Lee in my examination that it hasn't changed and been there for most of my life, but she said that she'd like to take another quick look in 3 months. I was like, "it's been there for so long. It's not flakey and it looks like a birth mark" it's literally 7-8mm in size. Anyway, she was adamant even though I'd told her that it was good she still wanted to have a second check. Ok I thought. I'll pop back in 3 months and she'll confirm what I've said and other dermatologists have said over the past 20 years. I booked what I was assumed to be a quick check up for this one small mark. Oh, was I wrong! 3 months after my main examination, I arrived to get my 10-12 second check up, on the mark I knew wasn't an issue. Of course she confirms this. I said, great and went on my way. A few weeks later. I received a letter from Metroderm for the jolly old price of $250+... $185! Out of pocket. My insurance covered $75. I kindly called the billing and said that there must have been a mistake., but she said I'd have to speak with her supervisor. They called my a couple days later to say that every examination has a cost. I mentioned that I didn't want to do the appointment and that it was fine, but she insisted (Dr Lee) that it'd be just a quick check. I'm fortunate enough to have some insurance as well as a little money, but I certainly feel for anyone that gets duped into making appointments and getting "robbed". Absolute disgrace. I was sincere on my call to start with, but once they wouldn't shift on the rate. I unfortunately lost my cool. I would NEVER ever go back to this place again. Clearly Dr Lee and her team are ousting as much money as they can from poor unsuspecting patients. I hope you sleep well at night? I actually hope not! I'll finish with what I said to the "supervisor" - "kiss my A$$"

My son is a handsome young man... even if I say so myself... but as a young man he has developed…read moresome pretty rough acne. I too as a young man had my rough battles with acne and I remember my parents taking me to a dermatologist. It changed my high school life! So I brought my son here. Funny when I looked it up on line it had some good Google reviews. It was rated high... but not as well on Yelp. However my youngest boys middle name is Steele so it must have been a sign right? I was able to get an apt. fairly quickly... so off we went. Walking in it is all about ladies skin... keeping it young and beautiful. My son asked why we were in a ladies spa... I know that that is where the money is.... Youth in ladies skin... but this really did look more like a selling environment then a doctors office. Everything from crème's, elixirs, posters for facial treatment weight loss etc... all targeting women offering them the promise of change and youth. However when we met with our doctor it was great! She addressed the problem quickly, examined him, and determined a course of action that was not going to be hugely complicated. She gave us prescriptions for a cream, some medicated wipes, and some pills. We are attacking it on all fronts It has only been a few days and I can already see a difference! If it keeps up this way by the time we return in 6 weeks it should be a huge difference! I was so impressed with their solutions, action, and bed side manor that I made an apt here for my psoriasis as well. Over all a great experience... they might just want to make it a little more of a doctors look to the office instead of looking like a ladies spa.

Despite multiple written requests, Steele Dermatology has kept more than $2,100 of my money for services never performed and has withheld my medical records for over six months. I first requested my full treatment records back in April 2025, and to this day (October 8, 2025) they have not provided them, nor have they sent the "form" they now claim is required. They have never offered a valid explanation for the delay. After receiving my written refund demand, the practice administrator called me directly, even though I had clearly and repeatedly asked for all communication to occur in writing. When I calmly restated that request, she became defensive and hostile, said she would be sending me a certified letter from their attorney, and then abruptly hung up on me. As of this review, I have not received any letter, refund, or records. I have filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights for the ongoing denial of my medical records, and I am preparing to report Steele Dermatology to the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division for retaining funds for unused services. Patients deserve transparency, professionalism, and access to their own medical information. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. I strongly encourage anyone considering prepaid packages here to proceed with caution and ensure all communication and agreements are documented in writing.
