It's hard to find Real carbonara out anymore. I don't know if it's the eggs in there that restaurants or people are worried about it but I don't have a problem with that at all. I ordered a pepperoni pizza wheel, a slice of everything and I think pepperoni and sausage. They were heated quickly and boxed to go. I also got a slice of plain cheesecake. It was great. When I got home, the pizza wheel was still piping hot, as it was wrapped in foil. The slices were very warm. I was disappointed because I did not taste garlic, oregano, salt, basil or much flavor aside from the actual toppings. Is that traditional in a New York pizza? The cheese was chewy, which was great, and the crust was crispy. I will go back again, because they service was great, and I want to try the pastas. I don't think I'll try the pizza again though. (suggestion: That's not a great opening line.) "Do you want to go ahead and order your food?" (To which we said no.) He seemed put out from the get-go. Finally, I had to tell him directly, "We're not in a rush, even though you are." He's probably late 20s, dark hair, a beard, and overall a really poor performer. If he doesn't like his job, he should go do something else, though I doubt he's qualified to do much other than be on welfare. We bought four entrées, an appetizer, and two rounds of drinks. We probably would've bought more but for this really poor waiter. This is a good restaurant with very good food and a good concept. You (owner/manager) need to take much more care on the people side. It's hard to hire good talent these days but you need to do better than this. Good luck. But you need to realize there are way too many choices out there. And, if anything, this review is quite generous.
