Initially, the service was good - kind staff and a good selection of products are available. The prices of items are on the medium-high side compared to what I would expect. I obtained an acrylic paddle that broke into several sharp shards and created a safety hazard upon its initial and only use. You can see in the image the design issues of the product and how it broke along the holes in the paddle. I went to return the item and asked to exchange for a different item or to receive a refund for the defective product. I was during the 30 day return period, but they refused to accept my request - saying that they would only allow me to exchange for the same product. This option was not acceptable since the product design had obvious safety issues. The staff told me that they could do nothing and referred me to email their supervisor and to call their supervisor's direct line. I tried calling multiple times with no answer. I also tried to contact via email but was completely unanswered. I am very disappointed in the customer service and the return policies of this business. Having filled up not one but two frequent buyer cards over a decade, I went in to redeem them a few weeks ago, only to be told that GV no longer honors their frequent buyer loyalty cards. While the two cards were only good for a total of $20 in discounts, GV has permanently lost a formerly loyal customer by refusing to honor a card with no expression date. I went into this store with my husband to look around. When you enter, there's a velvet rope and a sign that asks you to wait until a store associate can let you in. We waited patiently and were let in by an employee. I understand asking customers to wait at the entrance if you're limiting capacity for COVID-related reasons, but that same rationale obviously does not apply to *leaving* the store.
