Frank said that the car had a broken mirror and a bad tire, etc. Basically, he refused to install an engine. I asked Almar to install an engine, not tires or mirrors. First of all, I didnt think I would find a Meineke so close to where I live. It is literally within walking distance from my home, which made things much easier than I presumed. Its location is in Charlotte's "Plaza Midwood" area, just five minutes from uptown. Now, to paint a description of my car's condition before bringing it in would be a challenge, but lets just say it needed some serious maintenance. Lucky for me, they were running a "rainy day special"..and boy was it raining out that day! As I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly man behind the desk. He walked me through the special, which included an oil change, wind shield wipers, tire rotation, air, and fluids topped off all for 59.00! In my mind, this could not be true because Toyota was charging me the same price for just an oil change. Sure enough I learned that I was getting ripped off at Toyota! The man told me it would take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to finish my car, which was great because I didn't even make an appointment. I ended up spending that time at my friends house that was on the same street. After an hour, I received a phone call letting me know that my car was complete. I am not lying when I tell you that my car drove like it was brand new again. After my wonderful experience, I no longer need to go years without maintenance, and found that they can provide a pleasant experience to the auto care world! I will be back to this location in the future and recommend them to anyone in need of service.

I had a terrible experience at this shop. I went to Chris for a labor only brake job for rear…read morebrakes & rotors (I bought my own parts prior). I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.
