The drink station also held all their sauces and it entails including chopsticks for you to help yourself. The staff was very nice. We got greeted walking in and the lovely girl brought us our drinks and food. The food was bomb as heck. I'm going to admit, I don't really like Hawaiian food but man I ate this up! The potstickers were probably my least favorite I've had better, but everything else was spot on. Great place.

Their fried shrimp and fish dishes have worked their way into my regular orders of kalbi beef and chicken katsu. Their sauces are so good, it's hard not to just drench the mac and rice. Pro tip: You can change the mac to rice ratio of your dish for no extra charge. I always go double mac and single rice. They're very quick with their takeout orders, always having mine ready when I swing by to pick it up. This is part of the reason why I frequent them as often as I do, they've become my high quality, quick and easy meal which fills me up and often leads to leftovers with their generous portions. The prices are affordable and there are lunch and small meal deals and specials regularly occurring and worth looking into. The restaurant is always super clean and their team is very friendly and welcoming.

Their booths look like you're sitting underneath little huts. The vibrant lit signs add to the whole vibe. I had made reservations before coming so when I arrived the table was completely set for us. We piled into the booth and they immediately brought us water for the table. It took us a while to decide on what to get because everything sounded so good! When our meals came out, they not only looked amazing, but tasted incredible! I ordered the Brisket Tteokbokki and the sauce had such delicious flavor. It was my birthday so they brought out a moon pie with a candle and sang. Very sweet! I really enjoyed coming here. And after this visit, it has now officially become a family favorite. We love to eat there because the food smells so good while we are there. We have also done pick up and delivery. Founded by co-owners John Aliwalas and Jeneryn San Antonio, it was local food truck favorite and now it has it own home. The owners left healthcare careers during the pandemic to share their family recipes and bring traditional Filipino comfort food to the local community. They worked so hard to get their truck going and now success with the best Filipino food ins all of Bakersfield. The dining room has a homey atmosphere with great cultural wall murals and rattan accents. All of their food is great. Our favorite is their chicken and they make a great rice. We each tried one of the daily coffee specials, a hot maple latte and a slice of their pistachio bread. What a perfect combination for a relaxing morning. The maple latte was truly comfort in a cup, warm, cozy, and full of fall flavor. The pistachio bread had just the right amount of sweetness and hit all the right spots. The service was excellent, quick, friendly, and always with a smile. Even though the line cue can look long, it never really feels that way because the staff keeps everything moving so efficiently. We were served in no time A major plus for me is that this location is right down the street from my home, making it so easy to pop in whenever I'm craving a good, tasty treat. It's the perfect neighborhood spot for a quick coffee, something sweet, and a little moment to relax. We left happy and already looking forward to coming back to try more from the fall menu!

I moved out of Bakersfield but every time I visited, I had to make sure I go to this place. This time I brought my friends who also live in bigger cities, but everyone ended up falling in love with this place and couldn't stop talking about it. I'm so happy that they moved from the food truck location to a nicer place and more central to the nicer part of Bakersfield (near riverwalk) . My friends who I took to this place, still rave about the food they had here. It's so authentic, delicious, and just special. You ordered at the counter, and during lunch time there are options to get the lunch combo which are two types of dishes with rice or naan. I usually chose the usual, either tikka masala, butter chicken, or curry. But this time I wanted to try something I never got from the menu, which is the Shahi Matar chicken. Oh.My.God, it was the bomb! It's sooo good. The other thing that I always got was the veggie pakora. It goes sooo well with the curry dishes. Amazing. Services were pretty fast, around 10mins of wait during busy lunch time. If you didn't finish the food (which they give you really good portion), they have the lids for everything and ready to take home. Everytime I go back to Bakersfield, I always ensure to come here and bring my visitor friends here too. I already miss all the food here.

I'm glad another business has moved into this location. The Asian fusion restaurant that was here previously was also very good, so it's nice to see another great dining option in the space, I can visit right after my doctor's appointment. On this visit, I ordered the 16-ounce goat curry.. I wanted to make sure I liked their goat curry before committing to the 32 oz beast.. Personally, I recommend ordering it with no added spice if you really want to appreciate the individual ingredients, the flavor of the goat, and the delicious curry sauce served over the rice, but I don't like spice so that's just my opinion. The goat Curry was great my only beef... pun intended was that they were just as many bones as there was meat. Also there were tiny bones almost too tiny which I did not expect. 3.5 out of 5 stars This time, I also tried the garlic naan, and it was very good! It had generous chunks of garlic throughout, with the perfect texture and softness. It was excellent for soaking up the sauce 5 stars The people I dined with ordered the butter chicken and chicken curry both 5 stars The rice here was good it seemed as if it was freshly cooked I wish it was a little hotter to the touch but overall really good 4 out of 5 stars Everyone I at the restaurant was friendly and courteous, and funny. The people here are real and we were able to talk about food in other countries, they were also happy to explain the menu items when asked, which I always appreciate, especially when exploring a cuisine with so many wonderful dishes, I have never tried before. The operating hours for Punjabi Dhaba in Bakersfield seem to be every day 1000 am to 8:30 pm. This means they're open on both Saturdays and Sundays, which is a plus. I visited on a Sunday, and although the restaurant wasn't empty, it had just enough customers to create a short wait for the food. My order was served in a timely manner, and just a pleasant experience. Apparently, this restaurant started as a food truck, but I never had the opportunity to try it back then. I'm glad I finally got the chance to visit them at their brick-and-mortar location! If this visit is any indication, I have a feeling there's a lot more delicious food waiting for me to discover.I'll definitely be back to try the butter chicken and some of the street food items on the menu 4 out of 5 stars

This location is conveniently located at the Marketplace, where there is plenty of parking. I came in a little before 7am and there were only a few folks here when I arrived but it definitely got busier throughout the time I was there. Staff was all quick and friendly. They took my drink order while I looked at the menu and I asked for an Orange Juice ($6). Fresh! For my meal, I couldn't resist ordering my usual Killer Kern ($20) omelette that comes with your choice of hash browns or home fries and toast or biscuit and gray. I opted for their crispy home fries and that thick fluffy delicious biscuit and gravy. This is my ultimate cheat carb side. I can't resist this housemade biscuit and gravy. I try to tell myself the omelette is pretty healthy since it comes with thick cut bacon, fresh sausage, mushrooms, onions, jalapenos, avocados, and monterey jack cheese. Perfectly balanced with proteins and veggies. The meal was very hearty. I ate all of the omelet and dented the potatoes and biscuit the best I can. A meal for champions. This incredible meal fueled me for the day at a charity event in town. I would definitely revisit Old River Grill when in Bakersfield.

We started with the Korean Beef "Frachos" which were easily the highlight of our entire meal. The spiraled fries were crispy, covered in a delicious sauce, tasty toppings, and the beef was tender and well-seasoned. If you are coming here I would definitely recommend getting these! Unfortunately our excitement, for what we thought would be a great meal, died there. First off, they must be using unfiltered tap water to serve because it was disgusting! I get it, water is free and I've never been one to complain about water, but we were so disgusted by it that we were shocked it was even being served. We ordered two burgers. One was a bbq bacon burger which was not bad, nothing I would go out of my way for, but I wouldn't have complained otherwise. The second burger was the bacon jam burger which was drowning in what seemed more like runny pancake syrup than a bacon jam. It leaked from the burger all over my plate and made the burger inedible. For my side I got the charred green beans, and I guess I should have taken the name at face value because they really meant it. They were completely burnt black throughout which turned to bitter powder as I took my first bite. Easily more char than green bean. The service was fine. Our server was nice, but I think they could sense my displeasure with our meal because we counted 11 table stops to make sure we were okay in the less than 1 hour that we were there.
