I cannot say enough good things about working with Ron. I discovered that a rat was sneaking into my apartment at night and Ron was here the same day. He was almost immediately able to figure our where our unwanted friend was coming from and also pinpointed some other spots that he would seal just in case. He also did an external check of the building and is working with my landlord to address the issues outside. Ron was informative, sensitive, and 100% put my mind at ease in this extremely unsettling situation. He explained everything he was doing and why and was sensitive to my situation as a dog owner. He did not use any sort of poison and was careful to put traps out of reach to my dog. We caught a rat the first night and was on call night and day to dispose of the dead rat and investigate any sounds or issues. Not only does he stand by his work, he is quick to respond to calls, he takes time to explain what type of work he has performed. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. This is a one person business and he only answers calls in the middle of the night. Additionally, he tells you he is going to show up and does not. He came one time and charged me $400.00 with a unlimited warranty. After he came the first time I had to argue with him to get him to return. The problem actually got drastically worst during that time, because he trapped the pest in. When he did return he did not come to pick up the deceased pest as he promised. Furthermore, I called him back out and he answered the phone not knowing it was me. He promised he would return but did not. He actually ignored my calls but answered when I called him from a blocked number. I had another company come out and they said he failed to locate a number of significant entry points as well as completely resolve the issue. I feel as though he is not thoroughly knowledgeable about the industry. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I paid another service to help resolve the issue, costing double the amount. read more

I contacted Ron Worthy and his initial first talk with me was good.He told me he would charge about $400 to $500, but he would give me a lower price since he was referred. His secretary was to call me for appt. She set up appt. and promised Shawron would call with his arrival time. He showed up with out a call. His answers seemed not knowledgeable. He insisted to put 2 traps in the middle of my yard.!! I reported the animals were inside my attic!! Reluctantly I said ok. Then he wrote a long bill for $650!! I was still reluctant. Next he asked me to pay him up front before any work! I was not expecting a higher price and to pay up front. He called Ron and Ron was arrogant and insulting. I remained calm and polite and gave the phone to Shawron. I consider him deceptive and unprofessional. I truly believe that previous positive reviews may be from Ron's friends and relatives. I would not recommend this business and I notified my friends. I certainly did not use his business!! read more

Simply one of the best service providers I've ever worked with. I had an issue with the presence of rats inside of the house and tried unsuccessfully to trap them for a couple days before I contacted Ron. He was able to catch the rat on the first day and subsequent intruders on additional days and was effectively on-call day and night to remove the rats when caught and investigate any additional sound/activity. In a couple days, he resolved the issue. He was extraordinary attentive and sensitive to the issues surrounding my children and pet when setting and retrieving traps. This was for my personal residence, although I own a real estate company whereby we intend to use Ron for all of our pest management needs going forward. read more

I feel stupid. I spent $800 and then another $1300, totalling $2100 paid to this pest management company within a 12 month period and still have mice. They did some work, but nothing worth $2100. They are not thorough. They came out to retreat on on Oct. 6th, and here's what I found today (Oct 14) (I'll try to post a pic) They completely missed this nest in the living room. I called Ron at about 6:45am, 15 minutes after I saw a rat run across the floor. He called me back at 7am and two days later I don't hear or see any signs of rodent life (and I could hear them before). Ron made sure his extermination plan was safe for my dogs and explained everything that he was going to do, and why, very clearly. I contacted Good Riddance to help us with a rat problem. Shawron and his apprentice were quickly dispatched out to help us. Shawron was courteous and professional. He handled some crazy BS from my landlord over the phone, before setting up the traps. It took a little while, but they successfully caught at least 1 rat, and I suspect others were eating the bait. These guys are pricey, but they will do the job right. They left the traps longer than usual, and they offered to come out every other day to dispose of any dead rats. read more

I can't speak for the quality of their services, only how they handle scheduling appointments. I have been dealing with a rodent problem for about 9 1/2mths off and on. I've waited on my landlord and his condo association to deal with this issue, to no avail. I contacted several companies through Yelp in the hopes of getting someone out as soon as possible. Even though I had several companies that quoted lowered than GRPM, and could come out sooner, I decided to go with them because of their reviews. It was early-afternoon on Thursday, and the soonest they could come out was Monday afternoon between 2:30-3pm. I really wanted someone out sooner, but thought they would be better overall in the end so I agreed to the later date. While I was setting up the appointment, at no time was I warned that they would be calling 1 1/2hrs before the appointment to confirm, and if they couldn't reach me, they would cancel the appointment. I went into the office Monday morning, and cell service in my building isn't the best. Most of the time, I don't get notification that I've received a call until I check my phone. This is what happened that morning. I received a call from Shawron and Raven the receptionist asking if they could arrive early around 11:30. I got the messages around 12:15, and since I couldn't accommodate the earlier arrival and it had been almost an hour since they made the request, I didn't return the call. Like most people, I'm usually extremely busy at work. However, if either message then asked me to confirm my appointment, I would've. But neither did. I left the office around 1:10 to make sure that I made it home well before the 2:30-3pm window. While on my way home, Shawron called to confirm my appointment because they were going to be en-route soon. I missed this call. Just as I was getting off the bus, my phone started ringing. As soon as I walked in the door, I checked my messages. I then saw the 1:15 call from Shawron. I then got the 1:50 message from Shawron saying that since I didn't confirm, they were canceling and I would need to call and reschedule. I called back around 2:10 and again spoke with Raven who explained that I needed to confirm the appointment before they would make their way out and because I didn't, they couldn't make it out to my place by the 2:30-3pm window. This seemed rather odd to me. It's not even rush hour and they can't make it to my place within an hour? Really? When I asked why it wasn't explained that I needed to confirm about 1 1/l2 before my appointment, she claimed that it was a miscommunication and they couldn't do anything about it but reschedule. She had the nerve to say that they're very busy, and she can't possibly remember to tell everyone about the need to confirm before they will start to make their way out to one's home. Really? I then asked her, why would I bother to waste more time with a company that either doesn't explain it's basic procedures when setting an appointment, or show up? When I initially made my appointment, I heard strange background noises while on the phone with Raven. She explained that she was working from home and asked me to excuse the noises. I suspect that this is a company that is run out of someone's living room and that's why Raven couldn't remember something so basic as to make sure that all appointments are alerted to the need to confirm an 1 1/2 before their scheduled appointment. Now, I must wait a few more days, as if I haven't waited long enough. I suggest that if you have an issue that needs to be addressed immediately, go with one of the professional pest control companies and avoid these people. Really shady business tactics. I had a squirrel in my attic in December. I hired these guys to take care of it. First order of shady business, they wanted $800 up front before doing a damn thing. I should have known this was a red flag, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and paid up. He set a trap, asked ME for bait (for $800 you'd think they'd have a proven bait they use...). Well, 4 months later, I have a dead squirrel in my attic. He's in their trap. No one has come to check on it or remove it. I asked how they would prevent future squirrels from getting in. These guys came back and sprayed Great Stuff foam on the front of my house (that's the professional way to keep critters out?!). It looks like a 2 year old did it, there's orange foam all over my brick facade, it's very unsightly and obvious to anybody who approaches the front of our house. Unfortunately I don't have a two story ladder to clean it up and make it look PROFESSIONAL. Bottom line, stay away from these guys. They overcharge for their pedigree of work, and they want money up front before the eradicate. Worse, they don't even come back and clean up their damn mess. This is the first time and last time I'll be conned here in Chicago. I pretty much paid $800 for some traps (I'm keeping them), and for someone to spray a $5 can of Great Stuff between bricks. I'm getting more and more angry just typing this out. These guys are the worst. Honestly, look elsewhere. read more

Found a rat Saturday afternoon in my kitchen. My landlord called Ron and he came by within 30 min. He set some traps, caught the rat and plugged the hole behind the stove. Extremely nice, professional and knowledgeable. Response time was also excellent. Highly recommended. read more
