Came here on a Thursday night. We came because we found a Groupon for two pizzas and two beers for around $30 ( I don't remember the exact cost.) the place was super cute, there's a big parking lot so it's easy to find a spot. you can sit inside or outside, their patio has heated seating so we were able to sit there even though it's cold outside. We got two pizzas. A barbecue chicken pizzas and the vampire death wish pizza. They were both really good and we loved the crust. Personally preferred the vampire death wish pizza which had a great cheesy garlic taste. We also got four different beers to try. they were all super unique. Our waitress was super attentive and sweet. She helped answer a lot of our questions and knew a lot about the beers. We definitely come back again for pizzas if we had the Groupon the pizzas are a little bit smaller, but it was perfect for us to share the two pizzas, we even had some leftovers. read more

Great little place to come and enjoy some good pizza and beer! Was in town for a football game and we stopped by for pregame dinner. Kim (our server) was great! She told us the story of the place, and described how the owners kept everyone working during lockdown. She clearly lives her job and is great at it! This is the original location and has a bunch of indoor and outdoor seating. TVs showing different trivia games and board game for kids to play. We loved the chill atmosphere and how laid back they were. We tried 4 different beers and 2 pizzas. I'm not sure you could go wrong here, but the Vampire Deathwish was our favorite! Loved our visit and will keep an eye out to visit other locations if we get the chance! Good news indeed! Oh No! Not so Good News! We arrived before close, and wanted to utilize our pub passes. They had cut off all lines and closed out their register before close, so we were not able to order anything. We offered to take canned beverage to make it easier on staff and supplied them our books, but they turned us away. All other patrons looked to be rushed out as well, and the environment was not welcoming, nor friendly. We will sadly not be returning to this location of Good News spots. We had a Groupon that we used at this location, and it was our first visit. This is the original location, with several others in the area. The staff were friendly and offered great service. We each had a pizza and 4 beers total; and the Groupon made it very reasonable. If you like garlic, spinach. and feta definitely get the vampire pizza. My husband tried the supreme. Both pizzas were good; thin crust in fire oven. The size of pizza is more for 1 person; possibly 2 depending on how much you eat. We finished off both pizzas with no problem. The variety of beer looked extensive. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but tried the coffee hazelnut stout; very dark and rich flavors, definitely good if you are into coffee. My husband tried one with more of a citrus flavor; seemed fine if that's what you like as I tasted grapefruit. We were told by the waitress/host that they're opening new locations and doing quite well, as they already have several open locations. We have one close to home in wildwood that I'd like to try. If you're a Craft beer fan, GN Brewing is a worthy stop in O'Fallon! Spacious patio seating at picnic tables with friendly server bringing your orders. Simple menu, craft varieties from Hoppy to Ales, plus several Pizza (personal size) options as snack or light meal. Take home a Growler of your favorite or 4-pack cans also available. Overall, 4.0+ experience, especially enjoying their brews! Expect to pay ~$7 for pints but they also offer a 10oz or 5oz beer pours; and wood fired pizza $10-12 each. My fave brew was their (signature) Perfect Storm Pale Ale; easy to drink, not too bitter at 5.7abv and 36ibu, very enjoyable! Also tried the American Pale Ale 6.3abv 61ibu which was my 2nd choice. My friends preferred the Time Warp IPA, a New England style IPA which was more flavorful, hazy and citrusy. But plenty to choose if your a beer aficionado. Meat Pizza (cheese, pepperoni and sausage) was tasty, and nice compliment with a cold brew, but the crafts were the highlight and reason to come again! Our 1st time in was recently and my wife & I definitely enjoyed it. Relaxing environment, great beer, server was kind and fun to talk to, the brick over pizza is pretty good but definitely a lil pricy for the small portion. I'd say beer prices were fair and they have really cool swag/clothing items and beer growler you may purchase. I bought a hat and plan on buying a growler next visit. I definitely appreciate that it's a local neighborhood brewery and we look forward to visiting it many more times. read more

We were really excited when this place opened near us, because it's such a convenient location. We've been here several times, and our experiences have been consistently good. The interior is a little small, but we've always been able to find a table, and they also have a very nice outside area. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. As is posted prominently on their website, they are not a bar and they are not a restaurant. They're a brewery. For that reason, they don't have an extensive food menu, but they do serve a very nice variety of delicious wood-fired pizzas, and every one we've ever tried has been even better than expected. The beer selection is varied and interesting, and everyone in our group always finds something new and tasty to try. If you're not a craft beer kind of person, they also serve soda and a variety of wines. I highly recommend that you check out this friendly place if you're in the area. Please note that they aren't open at all on Mondays or Tuesdays, and other weekday hours are somewhat limited, so be sure to check the website for hours of operation before you go. read more

Both are covered and okay in the cold but inside is way warmer. We tried three beers by this local brewery and they were all great. They had 10 beers on tap. Reasonable prices! We didn't have the pizza but it sure did look good. They have a wood fire pizza oven that we saw got a lot of use. The menu says they are neither a restaurant or a bar. What a great find! We were staying in the area for just one night and discovered this gem. My husband and I split a Hawaiian Misfit pizza paired with a wheat ale brewed with blackberries. We followed up with a Hazelnut Coffee Milk Stout for him and a Belgian White for me! The pizza was outstanding! The crust and the char was very similar to my favorite pizza place back home. The brews were tasty as well. The staff was welcoming and helpful in answering any questions we had. (I was especially thankful that they were open on a Holiday Weekend Sunday!) The space is clean and comfortable. They also have a "sharing" board, where you can buy a beer for a future patron that meets the criteria you choose! (First Responder, Home Schooling Parent, etc...) Good to see some craft breweries start up when I was visiting St. Louis. The place is real relaxed and open with an easy tablet payment system. If you like flights, you can basally build whatever size and amount with the samplers. I had the Russian Imperial Stout which was really good. Very smooth for being a high ABV. I also recommend grabbing a pizza to split up. It's more of an app / shareables thing, but you could eat it for yourself if you wanted a meal. read more

But when we were ready to pay we couldn't find our server. They probably were just a little busy! Our server was very sweet and seemed to be doing a lot around the restaurant. Pizza took a bit to come out, but was fantastic! My only complaint is that it wasn't enough to fill us up, but we expected that and headed to an ice cream place nearby for dessert. My group of 3 people visited during their first week of being open. Of course, we needed to try one of everything. There were 6 beers, about 4 wine options, and 4 pizza options. Communal seating at the bar or at one of the several 8-top tables inside. The 6 beers on tap today were: Belgian White: this was my favorite of the bunch. Simple beer for a hot day. Mosaic IPA: very caramel-forward aroma and taste. Session IPA: a little too simple and watery for me, but again, perfect for a hot day. Citra Wheat IPA: enjoyable standard issue wheat beer. Brown Ale: I'm just not a fan of a darker beer, and this was no exception. Bit if you like a dark beer, this one is for you. Rhubarb Sour: if you can get past the somewhat awkward smell, this is a good sour beer. Funky, sweet, sour flavor. Not too rhubarb heavy, but you can definitely tell rhubarb was involved. We also ordered a pepperoni and banana pepper pizza. Pizza came out in about 5 minutes. Wood fired pizza over right in the bar, so you can watch your dough being tossed, the toppings being applied, and the blazing fast cook time all from the comfort of your bar stool. The size is "personal," which is about the size of a paper plate. Dough was amazing, just a kiss of char on the crust. Pepperoni was plentiful; banana peppers were easy enough to pick off one slice and move to another for those at the table that will not eat peppers (me). read more

We ordered four or five pizzas and hung out for a bit. This is a cute place and we really liked the beer. The pizza was just OK. The dough was a little thick and doughy and the sauce didn't have a ton of flavor. Cool place with really good beer, just OK food, and uncomfortable seating. This was my first visit to the O'Fallon, MO Good News Brewing location and I loved everything about it. The beer selection was not too large and not too small, they had a great selection of adventurous beers like their Hot Blonde and pepper beer and some great IPAs and stouts. The citra IPA was by far the best. As far as the food they only had pizzas and I'm not mad about that, the ones they offered were all different and made fresh. The pizza flight the offer is a unique touch that I've never seen before, it's like getting a beer flight but with 4 types of pizzas. My favorite was the Vampire Weekend, it was a unique garlic pizza that was full of flavor, and the standard cheese was great too. Husband and I arrived at about 5:30 tonight (a Friday). Plenty of tables available at enclosed patio, but none in the main bar area. Grabbed 2 seats at the bar. We were waited on by every one of the maybe 5 people working during our visit. Everyone was super nice and friendly, without being intrusive. Even without factoring in the food&drink, it was a super enjoyable experience. The drinks: we tried 4oz samples of nearly every beer on menu. All $1.75, except the Russian Imperial Stout, which is $2.25 for the sample. Everything we tried was awesome! We took home at growler of the Tangerine IPA and it is great at home too! The food: Vampire Deathwish pizza and the Banana Peppers & Pepperoni pizza. Both were divine. We each finished our own, no leftovers, but left feeling full. We also got to tour the brewery! It is a pretty small space, but it was very cool and I'm glad they offered! All breweries have Similar machinery, but here, the tanks had these cool (literally!) neoprene covers that I had never seen before. All in all, a wonderful date night!
