I finally made it to this cute little local favorite. The desserts really are the star of this place, but all the food here is quite delectable, and a treat for those into Americana eats. It's kind of a mixed bag as to the friendliness of the service. But the place is kept clean, and the food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. They are quite particular with the hours. Only open for the lunch hours, though occasionally they do a Sunday brunch. Definitely worth a trip when looking for lunch in Stillwater. read more

We were so happy to discover a good little eater during our visit to Stillwater! The food is nourishing and fresh. We had the chicken to tagine with pearl couscous and a bowl of white bean soup with sausage. The olive bread made from scratch - in house - was unbelievably amazing! We love the friendliness of the staff and were very grateful for the "cookies to go" for our return flight to Chicago. Good little eater is on our list for all return trips to OSU! Oh my gosh this place is so delicious!!! Another store recommended we eat lunch here while visiting Stillwater. My friend and I had the same thing, blackberry tea (so so good! A little sweet but not too sweet), quiche with pimiento cheese (the bomb!) and a salad. We loved it all! You order at the counter then sit at the big tables. It was fun to talk to some other ladies at our table. Also, they have a great selection of sweets (didn't try anything but will next time) and a freezer full of wonderful things like lasagna and other items to take home and bake later. We went to Good Little Eater today for lunch. we got the coconut cream thumbprint, bibimbap, and the muffaleta sandwich. The thumbprint cookie was incredible and very soft yet not too sweet. The bibimbap was subpar and quite boring with very little steak. The muffaleta sandwich was quite good and had quality meats with fresh olive tapenade. My main complaint is there is not enough seating and our table was never cleaned off from the last customers. The restaurant is extremely small and has mainly 6 person tables leaving very little walk room. read more

The personal vibe here made it an exceptional choice for brunch. You can tell the owner/staff are committed to quality in each dish they offer. The wood, kitchen-style tables added a feeling of home. I'm not a particularly adventurous person food-wise, but the frittata I ordered encouraged wanting to branch out of my comfort zone in the future. Very flavorful. I'd heard about the Good Little Eater restaurant for a while, and I finally went in today for lunch with a friend. It was an experience I won't soon forget. When our food was served it smelled so good... I tasted my bacon/tomato/cheddar grilled cheese sandwich, tomato and red pepper soup, pasta salad... every bite was delicious. We sampled two of their baked goods - the compost cookie and the date bars, both out of this world. You don't go to the Good Little Eater for food... you go to be fed... I was fed a hearty, healthy, homemade meal in a cozy, pleasant environment by people who obvious care very much about what they do... I felt the love in every bite. I've never felt so welcome or taken care of in a restaurant. Just a simple lunch with a friend... The freshness of the food is amazing! Farm-to-table is more than buzz words here. I recommend everything I've had and can't wait to explore the ever-changing menu. This place is truly worth finding. I've been going to GLE now for two years and am still thrilled. I bought a quart of Sarah's Pozole stew last week and had it in the freezer. Wonderful addition to Stillwater. Actually, guess it's been here a little while but I didn't know about it. A hidden gem! Fresh and delicious. Interesting menu options. I like that the menu changes, for variety and to match what's seasonally available, I believe. I'd rather see a place have a menu of five fabulous choices than an endless menu of frozen fryable this and middling mass-manufactured that. Good stuff in the bakery case, and no skimping on the nuts on the pecan rolls; I'm interested in coming by just to pick up an item to go sometime. Small place with bustling, friendly staff. Simple, refreshing decor. Limited tables so consider extending a warm offer if someone peeks in looking lost and wondering if it's ok to sit at the empty chairs down from you. Check to see if they'll be open - I think for weekends or Sundays at least, it's only every other at present. (A little inconvenient if you want to just stop by but I genuinely admire them for doing things with balance for their lives, if that's why. Don't want them to burn out!) read more

This place is Great. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and root vegetables and the coconut cream pie. All made from scratch. Nice little place off of Main Street. Get there early before they run out. Friday is pie day. They make the best pie crust I have ever had. Love it. read more

Everything here is truly excellent. Brunch is the best in town, but it's every other Sunday so make sure it's available. Info is on their fb page. I ordered apple and cherry pies from here for Thanksgiving, and I have never had better pie crust. Their cakes and cookies are also as good as it gets, and they have a great selection if you need to order in advance. We have ordered casseroles from here to take home and freeze for when life gets hectic. Everything is fresh, delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. My favorite is the butternut squash penne, but you can't go wrong with anything. Check ahead of time to make sure they're open before you go. read more

I began ordering Sarah's meals in 2006 and was a fan immediately. The menus always reflected the season and featured the freshest local ingredients available. As a working mom, it was so satisfying to be able to give my family fresh cooked meals on the nights when I was too busy to prepare anything myself. The Friday soups are amazing and I can't say enough about the salmon chowder. Also divine are the desserts - all of them, but the cakes are especially great as are any scones or shortbread (lemon cornmeal is a standout).
