I've taken more than my fair share of yoga classes with a variety of teaches, many of whom are stellar - however, Jen is by far the best. She starts off the class with just the perfect thing to say to you midweek - something inspiring yet relatable in her cool soothing voice. Every class I've taken with her is different and every class is great. She mixes it up enough to keep you on your toes but as a regular one can pick up on her style, whatever that is. Her music choice also flows with her class and you can honestly tell she really cares and is having fun while teaching. I can't ask for a better yoga class.

Between the heat (90 degrees) and the consistent flow, the class is challenging, but amazing. Her reminders on how to engage different muscles and maintain alignment are very helpful. I will definitely be back and do my best to go to at least one of he classes a week. Overall, Yoga Love is a beautiful space and I have always left very happy with my experience.

I've taken 4 classes from this studio and managed to get 2 teachers twice. I'm primarily a Bikram…read moreyogi, so I was excited to see on the bio page that their instructor "Jimmy" managed the Bikram studio at North Beach in San Francisco; Bikram Choudhury's first yoga studio in the U.S. But twice I tried to attend his class and twice he was substituted by someone who was not a certified Bikram teacher. I don't want to ding the rating of the studio too much on a substitute, but 70% humidity at 105+ degrees was beyond what most students could handle and in both classes, the majority of the students left early. I didn't know what was the normal temp/humidity for the studio, but when more than 3/4 of the class walks out, they're not getting what they're paying for. I stayed in because I'm stubborn, but I really slacked off. Despite it being called a "Bikram" class, the order of the 26 postures was not followed; hopefully the regular instructors follow the script better. The other classes I took was a hot vinyasa class by Bryony. I liked the temperature there much better and even though I did not know all the postures, I was guided through them and corrected when needed. Bryony has a pleasant rhythm and walks around to check on everyone's progress. The studio has a women's and men's restroom with a shower. There are no lockers for your things, so don't bring in anything too valuable (even though this is a very quiet and safe area). Water and liquids are for sale, towels and yoga mats are available for rent, though first timers get a complimentary loaner set. It's a bit hard to find since the studio is at the side of a building, on a main road but in a section where the driver can only enter the lot from one direction.

They are motivating, compassionate and just fun to be around. (Renee and Jacqui are my favorites) The community is also really strong. Previously, I had been seeing an acupuncturist at another facility and it was a not a good experience: the woman was nice enough, but she would quickly poke all the needles in, tell me to relax then slam the door on her way out. I would lie there as I heard people talking just outside the door, things slamming into the walls, loud pop music playing, etc. Not relaxing at all. So I sought out a new place and found The Heart to Hand Healing Center. I see Erikka for acupuncture and from the get-go she made me feel incredible comfortable. She spent time getting to know me and the issues that I was seeing her for, and customized my acupuncture experience. I've gone to see her two times now and each time, I leave feeling relaxed and stress-free. I've made regular appointments to go back. Highly, highly recommend The Heart and Healing Center.

Before starting you fill out a form and I made the instructors aware of my ongoing health issues and recent surgery. They were so accommodating and made adjustments for me during the class so I could handle the moves. It didn't hold up the other students as well which was great. I appreciated being looked after. They have students sanitize their stations after class which is awesome for the next group coming in. The owner remembered me and checked in on how I had felt after my first class when I came in the second time.

But I didn't let my self-doubt talk me out of it. Chris and David were incredibly supportive and answered any questions I had prior to class; they set me up with a mat, blocks, and blankets. As the class began, I followed along much better than I anticipated. With Chrissy's help, I was able to do things I didn't even know I was capable of. I felt so good at the end of this class. I intend to go back for more classes as soon as my schedule permits. This studio can accommodate the newest of beginners to those with years of practice. If that's not the biggest sign and blessing that you in the right place at the right time I don't know what else is! The number of the building is an indicator of being intentional. I discovered Jamie's studio about a year ago and have taken a couple classes whenever I have the free time and have felt so comfortable in each class. Whether it's Jamie herself or another teacher the classes really focus on being present in the moment and connecting with your body. Slow, intentional movements and not pushing your body past what it's willing to do. I recently took yoga and sound bath class taught by Robin and I hope there are more classes like this. I experienced real life ASMR and a new level of meditation. Robin focused on creating sounds with different objects that sounded like different elements. One sounded like rain drops, another sounded like the ocean waves, it was truly a beautiful, grounding and enlightening experience. This was my first time hearing Crystal bowls in person and it was magical. It sounded like frequency music. I have also taken Jamie's 3 week meditation series which was amazing. It was an hour long each week and focused on releasing the stresses of the day and aligning your chakras. Besides the classes being wonderful each time her price point I feel is really affordable. The drop in classes are $25, some 3 week meditation series $40 and her new student pass for a week of yoga is $35! She has other yoga packages available on her website. I look forward to attending each class and leave feeling 1000% better than when I came in. Life can be hard and stressful but it can also be beautiful and soft. I have found that softness and beauty at Jamie's yoga studio and will continue to support her yoga business.
