I had the pleasure of taking an introductory class at this studio a few weeks ago. I was very nervous going into it, as I had never taken a yoga class before. But I didn't let my self-doubt talk me out of it. Chris and David were incredibly supportive and answered any questions I had prior to class; they set me up with a mat, blocks, and blankets. As the class began, I followed along much better than I anticipated. With Chrissy's help, I was able to do things I didn't even know I was capable of. I felt so good at the end of this class. I intend to go back for more classes as soon as my schedule permits. This studio can accommodate the newest of beginners to those with years of practice. I have wanted, for years, to start doing yoga. I finally managed to do it, and I am so lucky to have The Stretch as the place where my yoga journey is beginning. I don't even know where to begin because this place is amazing. I've done yoga myself prior to going to a class but I was far from where I wanted to be. I walked into class one random afternoon and was welcomed as if I've came their regularly. The owners Chrissy and David have helped me through my yoga journey this far and they both are phenomenal! The tea they offer prior to class is fantastic! You never feel an ounce of judgment and if your unable to do one of the poses Chrissy or David (depending to instructing that day) will gladly come over to you mid class and help you. I did a 7 day challenge after my second class there and after that was immediately hooked and purchased a monthly membership. Chrissy also took the time out to talk to me about vegan recipes and restaurants being we both are vegan and understand how difficult the vegan diet can be. David helped my fiancé immensely when he came to his first class and he can't wait to go back! I've also attended a few of Sarah's classes and she is also a great yogi and doesn't hesitate to work with you one on one. If you plan on going to yoga EVER wether it be just for fun or even your first time, GO HERE! They make you feel right at home! I can't really describe how amazing Chrissy and David are. Recently I have been really interested in starting yoga. I tried a hot yoga place and did not enjoy it too much as it was very fast paced and I felt it was not well instructed. So yesterday I tried out The Stretch in a Basic class for beginners and fell in love. From the smell in the studio to the energetic, calm voiced, and extremely helpful instructor, the class was amazing. (And even more amazing that its only $10 for a 90 minute class). Chrissy was my instructor and took such good care of the class, taking the time to adjust your positions to make them more comfortable, challenging, or easier based on each individual. I felt as if I was getting very personal attention in a class of about 10 people. The class was definitely a challenge, but at the end I found myself thinking "okay, when is the next class I can come to?" I felt so relaxed and loose after the 90 minute class and would definitely recommend The Stretch to anyone. My sister-in-law and I went together and afterward she said that she felt even more relaxed after this class than after a massage. We now have a standing date to return every week together for this wonderful experience.
