Great studio! I've done the morning and evening classes, there aren't enough places like this in the area and glad this one is here.

There are classes appropriate for the new to yoga as well as the experienced. The studio is very peaceful and has large windows overlooking the Hutchinson River. It's locally owned and number of teachers live in New Rochelle. Come support this gem of a yoga studio. https://www.radiateyoga.com/

Lisa (owner) was super friendly and made me feel welcome. BUT. I was very let down by the class itself. I was one of the first people in and I set myself up towards the front left corner of the room. I thought there would be around 10-12 people taking the class as the room isn't that big but boy was I wrong. By the time the class was starting I was sardine packed into the wall- one false move and I was taking someone's eye out. Idk if it's just her trying to make as much money as possible but girl maybe have a cut-off? I did not enjoy my experience AT ALL. I may as well have set my money on fire. Side note: I was disappointed that the demographic is a little older than I was hoping for and so I was even more disappointed when I was given a physical therapy resistance band. The asanas were way too easy yet complicated by the lack of space to actually stretch. I lived in Santa Monica before and my yoga practice there was just as aesthetically pleasing as this one but I always had 6' of personal space around me to freely move and stay inside my body. I am extremely late writing this review but I have finally settled into my new routine and find another Yoga practice but my disappointment came right back so I just had to get it out.

I haven't found a class I don't like and there are many more instructors! My favorites so far are Yoga for a Healthy Back with Faith, Open Level and Vinyasa Core with Matt and Dina. I'm looking forward to trying the other classes. Every staff member I've met so far, whether through class or front desk, have been incredibly friendly and helpful. The members here are great too! My only qualm is that there aren't markers on the floor to indicate where to put mats. So when a class is packed yogis are scattered about and the space isn't maximized.

Westchester Yoga Arts is a hidden gem in downtown New Rochelle! I was skeptical to try smaller…read morestudios here after attending yoga classes in the heart of Manhattan, but I must say, I am so glad I made the switch! Located conveniently next to my apartment, WYA has every kind of class I could ever need, and class sizes are smaller than in Manhattan so there is more individualized attention (and space to move!). Not to mention, this studio is way more affordable! The space is very clean, but be warned there are no changing rooms (just 2 private bathrooms). WYA has a wide variety of different yoga classes (core classes, gentle classes, classes for beginners, classes for more advanced folk) and zumba/belly dance classes to boot. Zumba is one of my favorite classes at this studio- it's a fantastic workout! All the instructors (for zumba and yoga) are super friendly, helpful, and are there to answer all questions. The studio has a very "family oriented" atmosphere among the staff and clients, and most of the instructors will remember your name. What I also enjoy about this studio, is that there are opportunities to advance in your practice. The yoga classes here take you step by step through head and hand stands and show you proper set up and form for learning more advanced moves. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking for something in New Rochelle.

How do you charge someone for canceling a session made less than 24 hours in advance? Well here's…read morehow Premier Pilates & Yoga did it! Called and spoke with someone in regard to scheduling a Pilates session. Asked about someone working with me at home and assistance with purchasing equipment. It was explained that it would be best to come in and take a couple of session. We agreed to meet at a scheduled time. Called to cancel the appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. Was told I needed to cancel my appointment within 24 hours and would be charged for the session? Que? When I mentioned the appointment was scheduled less than 24 hours in advance AND the cancellation policy was not explained to me when I made the appointment, I was told: "You got our information from the our website, so you should have read our cancellation policy" Really? I should have read the cancellation policy? Isn't that an assumption? The only thing I got from their website was their telephone. I will be staying clear of this business.

I wish I could say that I actually took a class here, but like several other reviewers I had…read moreproblems with the scheduling at this studio. Oh heck, let's just call it as it was: it wasn't the scheduling, it was the phones. Specifically, I never actually managed to talk to someone who worked here so I could sign up for a class. I called seven times over the course of five days in an attempt to schedule a yoga class using a coupon I had purchased via Living Social. I always called during their "normal business hours," which their website advertises as being from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and no one ever picked up. Six of the seven times I called, I got voicemail, which cheerfully instructed me to leave a message because the staff was either "on the phone" or "teaching." Considering that they weren't good at picking up the phone, I was reluctant to leave a message because I was afraid that my call would not be returned in a timely fashion. I wanted to talk to a human being, so I kept calling back, and I varied the times: early morning, shortly after they supposedly opened for the day; late morning; afternoon. No one answered. If the studio was closed for staff vacation, then that notice should have been left on the voicemail system. Business owners are entitled to lives, but they also have a responsibility to keep their current and prospective clients abreast of any schedule changes. The seventh time I called, the studio's voicemail system didn't pick up. Instead, the phone rang and rang before kicking over to an automated message from Verizon, which informed me that the party I was attempting to call "could not be reached." That's when I decided that enough was enough, and I requested a refund of my coupon purchase. A discount on a class series is only a deal if one can schedule said classes, and one can only schedule said classes if the people in charge answer the phone. Unfortunately, no one appears to be home at Premier Pilates & Yoga. I will be looking elsewhere in Westchester for a yoga studio.
