I recently joined Healthyfit and have been very happy. I joined primarily for the classes. I've been a member of many gyms through this years and think this is the best gym for classes. There is a huge variety of classes, and the class size is limited, so there is ample room. The classroom is bright and airy with windows and ceiling fans. The instructors are interested and upbeat. I needed to cancel personal training and I informed them after the 15th of the month, I had to fight for my money and send a flurry of emails to prevent the following months charge. It was a nightmare. I asked them to show proof that I had been informed of this policy and they failed to do so. Never again. read more

I'm in my early 50s and have never joined a gym and stuck with it...until Healthy Fit. It's an awesome gym. I can't speak much about the exercise equipment. It looks pretty good to me. I'm there for the classes, and they are the best! The instructors are passionate (special shout-out to Yeye for Zumba and Allison for Restorative Yoga) and keep me going, way past where I could go on my own. I recently relocated to Florida, and oh how I wish I could bring Healthy Fit with me. I've yet to find a gym with instructors who can hold a candle to the folks at Healthy Fit. I travel for a living and have visited gyms all over the country. Healthy Fit is by far one of the best I have ever been to! The entire staff is friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome in a new space. The locker area has everything from bathrooms separate from the changing area to sinks next to the entrance for easy access to washing your hands before gym use. They follow strict covid guidelines and I never feel exposed. The cardio and weights room leaves nothing to be desired and it is always kept immaculate. I've been a member here for somewhere around 3 years and, while at times I've had criticisms, they always care enough to make it right and make changes. They have a wide variety of classes (most of which come free with membership), awesome trainers (shout out to Melanie), and a great staff who know it's me when I call to reserve a treadmill for the Run For It! class. If you have kids, they offer babysitting for a small fee and you definitely get personalized service and the staff will greet you by name. Because of the building having a ton of windows, the cardio floor often gets toasty, but they do their best to not cook their members while also not freezing them out. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a gym that is for women and offers personalized service and a wide variety of options to help you get healthy or stay in shape! read more

Healthy Fit is hands down the best gym I have ever been to. I am always skeptical about joining gyms because I tend to give up when things get tough. But that is NOT the case here!! I will tell you why.... The ENTIRE staff is friendly and helpful. They genuinely care about their members' needs, wants and goals. The trainers (shout out to Erin) set you up with a fitness plan to help reach your highest potential. The group classes are amazing!!! They are fun as well as challenging and offered at great times throughout the day. The facility is always clean and stocked with plenty of machines and fitness tools. Very disappointed with the way management is handling charges to patrons during Covid. My daughter is on a month to month plan yet they've continued to charge her throughout the Current shutdown. She's called and left messages and emailed yet no one from Healthy Fit has responded. Each month she has to contact her bank to request the charge be removed. It would have been better if a Healthy Fit rep responded to her to discuss. What we learned from the response of Healthy Fit to our bank was that patrons have to mail a letter to Healthy Fit 30 days in advance to cancel membership. My daughter was looking forward to the days she could return but since shes not on an annual contract and unable to use the services due to Covid she didn't think she had to cancel. Well if thats what they want, that they shall receive, and with it a possible lost relationship. The Gym is well equipped and provides a lovely environment to work out in, but this situation has deteriorated its image in our eyes. Had Healthy Fit management handled this better, it would have received a 5 star rating. read more

I am a second time member, leaving for medical issues the first time 'round. I can't say enough about this gym. It's run professionally, with great sensitivity to the members' needs and wishes. It's spotless and offers classes from early morning until closing time. The instructors are top notch. They offer different program/payment options, depending on your financial situation and fitness needs and I have found management extremely easy to work with. I am greeted by name when I enter and I leave with a smile on my face every time. Most of the members have been friendly and supportive of this wonderful fitness center. I love love love this gym! I started going here after I had my second son to get back in shape. With in weeks of coming to this gym everyone knew myself and my boys named. Kelly and Erica were especially helpful when I had a problem with the child care and immediately corrected it. The staff is truly unbelievable the place is always clean. I loved working out here. Sadly we made the switch back to lifetime because I'm really into weightlifting and outgrew the equipment and my son likes the swimming there. But even with my departure Kelly delivered exceptional service and kindness when most people would be rude for canceling. The atmosphere, trainers, and staff make it super easy to go and workout. Not only do I like that it is an all women gym, I love the personal individualized attention that I receive and the variety of classes/times to meet the needs of all members. When entering the gym, I am always greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. I have always been impressed with them but specifically the last few months during this time of social distancing. Unfortunately, the gym itself is closed but being the close-knit community centered gym that HealthyFit is, they made accommodations that suited each individual. Whatever your situation was, both financially and personally, they provided plans and options that worked for you. We chose to continue our membership on a virtual plan. This virtual plan consists of live zoom classes and a vault of pre recorded classes. As of right now, these live classes are scheduled multiple times a day, 7 days a week at all different times. The trainers and all staff go above and beyond to give their members 110%, whether it's at the gym or at their homes. They all truly care about each member and help you with your fitness journey. Whether it is fixing your form, providing modifications or just asking how your day was, they are always there for you! Healthy Fit used to be a great gym. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, the personal training program was strong, and it was an all around fun, positive, supportive place for women to work out. So what happened? Management started draping curtains and putting up privacy screens on all the office windows and doors. They stopped making eye contact and saying hello to clients. Rooms that were once used for client consultations became storage rooms and hangouts for the employees. Most of the good trainers have left, with the exception of one; she hijacks the cardio room daily with treadmill classes and blares music during her PT sessions. There is always staff lingering around... I can't figure out what half of them do (this is not a big gym). Here's the bottom line: the gym is very clean, they always have fresh towels, and the locker room is nice. The classes are very popular. If you are a woman who is trying to get back into working out in a safe, low testosterone environment, this may be the place to you. If you have a lot of weight to lose, they will definitely try to set you up for success. For those who already have a workout program and are looking for a new place to join, you will find that the Healthy Fits cardio machines are seriously outdated, and key cardio machines that you would find at even the most basic gym are missing. Finally, all this jazz about the "Harvard Doctor" who designed the weight-loss program is just part of the marketing. It really doesn't mean much in the day to day experience at this gym. I have been a member here for several years and I have no idea what they are talking about. Also, they claim in the sales pitch that the circuit training machines are "specially designed for women". This is simply not true, but again, most women who join Healthy Fit wouldn't know that. This isn't a cheap gym (there is no transparency in pricing so I'm sure many people are paying more than me). They have all the equipment you will ever need, a variety of classes, very accommodating hours and most of all a very professional and friendly staff - even in the very early hours of the morning, which always amazes me! It's been a great escape during the holidays. I have family in the area and join for the time that I'm in town to keep me on track. I love the flexibility and the fact that it's a place I can go to take care of me. It's also nice to see that there is a wide range of ages and that the other members are also very nice. My favorite place to be!!! I joined when I was in high school and now that I go to college that have special deals for when I come home for breaks and summer. HF has literally anything you need and everyone there is so sweet and always smiling. The spin classes are awesome and there are a lot of them through out every day. I've been a member at healthy fit for 4 months now. I joined because it was time for me to start being active. Weight loss is a goal of mine, but i knew it wasn't going to happen overnight. The staff is extremely helpful and very motivating. I'm training with Mel who teaches me to work hard and believes in me. Rosa is an amazing spin instructor, she made me comfortable and made sure my bike was set up properly and was very motivating during the class. Real my great gym. I have been a member on and off for a few years and have always come back & the manager has always been accommodating and welcoming. It feels like a close knit gym and it's nice that the girls at front always address you by your name. It's not a huge space compared to other gyms but still large enough to accommodate a studio, spin room, Pilates studio, two workout areas and a spacious changing room. Highly recommended! read more

I was a member here a while back and had a terrible experience.. hopefully since then they have fixed their issues. I joined and I was told I was getting the student rate, since I was a college student and then my mom and aunt joined and somehow their months rates were cheaper than mine! When the manager was confronted she tried to cover up that she had tried to take advantage of me and gave me the same price as my family members. Will never join again! read more

Although I enjoyed this gym for the first few months, having participated in the weight loss program and various exercise classes, I would not recommend it. They sneak in fees here and there and unless you're careful to check your credit card statement, you'll be paying out the nose. They trick you into signing forms that charge your credit card every month even though you thought you were only buying a month of sessions. Then when I said I wanted to quit, I was talked into suspending my membership. Not once did they tell me that it costs $15 a month to do so. So yes, more sneaky fees on the credit card. Even though it was finally credited back, they snuck back on the next month. And when I got fed up and said I wanted to cancel my membership, I was told that since I didn't give the 30 day notice I'd have to pay the full monthly fee of over $80. Such a rip off. read more

I've been going to Healthy Fit for about a year, paying $79/month. I worked with Patrick on my tour of the circuit machines, which I've been using up to now. Since I have lower back pain, I just started yoga and it seems to be making a difference. There's a yoga class just about every day and many other classes - Pilates, spinning, etc. I like the women-only environment. The locker room, showers, etc., are clean and quite adequate. For some reason, though, the locker room is kept at a fairly chilly temperature. Not a lot of frills - no swimming pool, massage services, whatever. But it's near my house and fits the bill for me. read more

It is not the worst gym in the world, but I wonder where they get their trainers. The members seem to be in better shape than the trainers and know a bit more about what works and what doesn't. The classes are okay but they need more of a variety-same classes every month but with different names. The front desk staff is a young and therefore their customer skills need some updating. It's cheap enough so you get what you pay for. However, the spin room has no windows - which in my opinion is a fire hazard, the steam room has mold all over it and everything is an additional cost. I did cancel because I felt that $80 was a lot for this place so shop around before you commit. read more

There is nothing bad to even say about this gym! The staff from the front desk,trainers, all the way up to management is amazing, never been a motivated person but the environment inside the gym made it possible to get more involved and get outside my comfort zone!
