We chose the Yoga Garden, and we both attended together. I had never taken a yoga class before, but Patty was extremely welcoming and made me feel comfortable. The class was wonderful, I found it very relaxing but perfect for me. Patty was energetic and very deliberate in her movements and I learned a lot. I really enjoyed it and it was a great time to spend with my daughter as well. The room was well equipped, and quiet for the ultimate yoga experience. I would love to take another class there.

I don't want to ding the rating of the studio too much on a substitute, but 70% humidity at 105+ degrees was beyond what most students could handle and in both classes, the majority of the students left early. I didn't know what was the normal temp/humidity for the studio, but when more than 3/4 of the class walks out, they're not getting what they're paying for. I stayed in because I'm stubborn, but I really slacked off. Despite it being called a "Bikram" class, the order of the 26 postures was not followed; hopefully the regular instructors follow the script better. The other classes I took was a hot vinyasa class by Bryony. I liked the temperature there much better and even though I did not know all the postures, I was guided through them and corrected when needed. Bryony has a pleasant rhythm and walks around to check on everyone's progress. The studio has a women's and men's restroom with a shower. There are no lockers for your things, so don't bring in anything too valuable (even though this is a very quiet and safe area). Water and liquids are for sale, towels and yoga mats are available for rent, though first timers get a complimentary loaner set. It's a bit hard to find since the studio is at the side of a building, on a main road but in a section where the driver can only enter the lot from one direction.

For starters, the booking process was seamless. There were multiple packages to choose from, whether you just want to try out a class or fully commit. I also had no idea that they offered more than just pole! Some of their classes include Street Heels, Metamorphosis (which is a pole-less class; just straight dancing), and a stretch class! For transparency, I've never took a pole class in my life. While nervous going in, you can't help but immediately feel welcome. The owner of the studio, Taylor, was quick to greet me and the front desk girl, Jules, was as kind as could be! I can't even tell you how much fun I had at this class, and I wasn't even any good! Everyone in the class, not just the instructor, was so supportive and I quickly realized that this was more than just a class. It was a community. I loved it so much that the next week I invited one of my besties to join me! It was such a blast and I can't wait to book my next class!!

The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and offers a range of services like a large fitness area with tons of cardio machines, weights, and strength training equipment, two bathrooms & lockerrooms, and saunas (my favorite to do after class), and variety of classes. Plus there optional add-ons at $ to enhance your wellness routine. There is also a hair salon, nail salon, and smoothie area, daycare, and more to meet women's needs. My favorite classes are Monday's Core & More and Thursday's Body Shred Bootcamp led by Sam. She brings the kind of energy and intensity I've experienced at top NYC studios and is incredibly kind and relatable. If you need to make adjustments to the workouts, she's always willing to help and accommodate. Her classes have upbeat music and a motivating atmosphere. Sam's positivity, energy, and engaging style make each workout fun and challenging, which is what I'm looking for. I've noticed a big difference since taking her classes and look forward to them every week. Jessy's yoga classes are another highlight, providing a peaceful, calming experience that's perfect for unwinding. Enilida also leads some good HIIT and bootcamp classes as well, plus I believe belly dancing has been added for a fee, which is cool. My minor recommendation for an opportunity to improve would be to balance the class instruction in both English and Spanish (including the music) so it resonates with all attendees, as most of the class is currently in Spanish. A slightly faster pace might help it feel more like a focused workout, as it can sometimes lean towards feeling like a social hour for some. Regardless, I've still gotten a good workout and appreciate that she's very nice, kind, and funny. I still need to try some of the other classes like cycling and Wednesday bootcamp. There is a lot of Zumba too (like everyday) for this who like that, personally it's not my preferred style as I lean towards high intensity, Bootcamp type classes. It'd be great if at some point the team considered adding boxing/kickboxing class or just a boxing bag to the floor (since it's noted on the website). They also offer hot yoga and a few other classes at cost. Hot HITT could be fun too! Overall, it's a fantastic all-women's gym. The current membership skews a bit older (Gen-X, Boomer) and there's nothing wrong with that, but there's great potential to attract a younger crowd (Millennials like me & Gen-Z) as well through the type of classes. Highly recommend Hourglass Wellness for women looking for a supportive and fun workout environment. Staff are very nice at the front desk and all the trainers so far that I've worked with have been awesome. Thanks team!

I will never forget the day I first met some of the BR region Masters ( Master Christine, Master Jo…read more, Master Arthur and volunteer staff!) at the awaken fair for an aura reading and chair massage. Automatically you feel a wave of welcoming, humble, loving energy emitting from them . Its quite emotional and funny to talk about it right now( I started in October 2021 )as I reminisce on how much this center has helped helped me get to where I am now. When I first stepped foot into the Wellness center, I noticed the calming energy and plants , I was welcomed by Master Susan, Which I had a great conversation with while I got set up . Master Jo then gave me a thorough and mind blowing Intro session That planted a seed of hope inside me... especially with my Health Conditions and worries (Asthma , anxiety, insecurities, Ulcerative Colitis). I no longer suffer from this anxiety! I have released so much stress and trauma in my body. I no longer have to use my emergency inhaler during the winter time ! I no longer need my medicine for my autoimmune disease! I have so much more love , confidence and trust in myself ! Thanks to all the brain education, the classes, finding my true self work shop and the instructors, all of this was made possible. I took back my brain and my life . This is my safe haven . They truly care about you beyond the symptoms and emotion that burden us and teach you how to balance your stress and energy system. I continue to choose myself by tapping into my self healing potential, investing in myself through brain education and practicing in daily! My mind , body and soul are thriving!

It's inside the mall with parking which the establishment validates making parking a breeze. I drove an hr so I was excited because as you enter the mall there's signs everywhere about hot goddess and I'm thinking " girl you're going to get your zen on and you're going to feel a burn, the experience of your life". I see a a bakery and restaurant and think." If you want to cheat you Darling you can even get some fine Asian cuisine or a fruit smoothie... pick wisely". I enter the establishment and there is salsa blasting and I go to the front desk confused because it's supposed to be hot yoga, hot Pilates, hot barre(I'm Latina so a salsa makes me want to 3 step to every 4 beats real quick but ... I came for zen... not to salsa.) I glanced around it was dirty, they tried to get me to buy an unlimited monthly which I kindly declined. One of the owners show me around I'm thinking "wow it's dirty but they have a bit of everything Zumba, TRX section and cycling. So I ask the main question where's the hot barre? She points to a room and I say oh thanks hey where are the bathrooms I drove an hr. I want to be ready before I start to plié. She leads me to a hair salon where the staff is on a lunch break eating sandwiches. Ok.. it's 630 pm maybe the end of the day so they didn't clean and they need a dinner fine. I take my shoes and socks off I open the door... the room is tiny... like...it's all female because a 6 foot male would not be able to fit in there type of tiny. Only about 5 people could fit in there comfortably. The infrared lights are really low. Hot yoga, barre or Pilates classes are usually in a sauna room By the way. I enter the instructor who is really friendly learns my name but I'm still confused why I was in a room that was smaller than a cremation room with infrared lights that could possibly fall on my head while I would be doing a plié or downward dog(i have that type of luck, 30 mins in we didn't do either). The instructor asked me if I've practice before I guess she saw my confused glance . I verified I have but I was determined to give this place a fair chance as I tend to give everything else in life before I walk a way and never look back. The yoga instructor was nice but you can tell she wasn't experienced. I walked out and the managers got upset that I told them they were falsely adversing the Hot Pilates and they claimed they can fit 8 people in that room where comfortably I would only do 6. The place is extremely dirty and I didn't ask for my money back because they need it to invest on fixing up the place.

I've been going to Hot Yogoddess since last winter. I fell in love with this studio but I can admit…read morethat it is not for everyone. My review should help with setting your expectations. The basics: yes, the room is small. When I first saw it, I was skeptical. However I have been plenty of times and only maybe twice did the room feel a bit tight. Most classes I have been to (weeknights&weekends) are averaging 4-6 people and fit everyone quite comfortably. The prices just cannot be beaten. They will validate parking if you can't find street parking. There is a bathroom and a locker room. I have had nothing but very pleasant interactions with staff members including the owner. They are very accommodating and flexible with scheduling. The vibe: The instructors are great, they each have their own style. I love the feeling that I get being in the small room, able to view the teacher at all times, surrounded by mirrors to check form. It feels extremely personal and special to me. But again, some people this won't work for. After tough classes, lots of teachers hand students an ice cold towel scented with essential oils. It's a nice touch. The downsides: there are only 2 things that have ever bothered me personally. 1) last minute schedule changes are not always communicated, hence I've taken some classes I didn't actually sign up for. However each time I stuck around and ultimately was glad I did. 2) The noise from the Zumba classes can definitely mess with your ability to focus while in yoga, sometimes the bass is pretty intense. It just depends on the class timing... and whether or not you are more zen than me! Again, I am obsessed with this quirky little studio and the way that I experience yoga here. It is different from other places and that is what I love about it. If you want to be in a giant, bland room full of lululemon real housewives, don't come to this studio. Oh and if you DO come, don't blab about your new obsession, I want to keep this place on the DL :)
