Yes, you will receive some cash for your metal (don't expect the proverbial gold mine, though). And you're helping a local business - plus you're reducing the volume of waste that ends up in landfills. Always very friendly staff here. Parking is adequate, since you're really not here for very long - they're very quick to take your metal, weigh it and pay you a set price per pound. Exiting back onto Kuykendahl (especially if you're heading south) can be a challenge, though. Keep that in mind when you're ready to leave.

There is an employee who is stationed at the cardboard section (the biggest tin on site) and he's super helpful, especially if you have large pieces you need help with. I brought my 9 ft. Christmas Tree box without breaking it down, and the whole thing fit and was thrown in there. Nice! Keep in mind, there is only one entrance and exit, so please don't block any of the paths to lead to the exit! Also, always be sure to turn left to get out. To the right, will lead you to a dead end.

I love coming here to drop off my recyclables, I just wish they had more and longer hours, they're open Wednesday 4p-7p and Saturday 9a-2p, but overall I have a good experience here, just drop and go really.
