We had…read morebeen sitting and eating for about 15 minutes when trainer Bryan Mitchell came up on the side of us with an off leash dog that he was training and proceeded to play fetch with the dog, and have it stand on a fire hydrant for about 45 minutes. He did not once ask us if our dog was ok around other dogs or if we were comfortable with him doing this. My puppy became very upset and while loudly discussing this and my dissatisfaction that the trainer refused to acknowledge us (after clearly seeing and hearing our pup) we decided that we had to leave dinner early. Every other person who interacted with us and our dog was able to ask our and our dogs comfort level, but a PROFESIONAL couldn't? That is absolutely ridiculous. If you want a disrespectful trainer who refuses to acknowledge boundaries this is the place to go. And Brian... next time don't wear a company logo or just use your beautiful and ample indoor space to teach these tricks.

By the time I drove him to Purdue University ER small animal hospital and got the help he needed even they looked at the records and questioned Plainfield's staffs every move and decision just like I did besides 1 damn thing which was my 100% respectfully letting them know he would be receiving some SQ fluids due to severe dehydration and he's 10lbs....so the one thing the owner insisted on which these crooks charged almost $70 for the small SQ fluids. My first Pomeranian lived til 16 and I took her for over a year for Q Fluids 2x a week at vet in an amazing city Munster, IN and her and I would be in and out and 25 mins tops and it was $12-15. $70 for fluids is why so many poor owners and the poor pets suffer because they have no way of ever saving or helping their poor pet simply bc places like this only care about the $$ not your animals. It was so scary. And they put him on an antibiotics even though both blood work results he'd already had recently showed zero signs or symptoms of infection nor eating much at all nor drinking so he wouldn't even take it anyways but another way to have me pay more. Purdue ER said to not even give it to him bc it was 109% unnecessary. They also told me to put him on pain medication that come to find out it put him in more danger!!!! THIS PLACED SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

To start off I had been taking both of my dogs to a different vet for the past 12 years and over…read morethe past 6 years have been more and more frustrated with that vets office. I started using Animal Medical enter about a year ago for emergency visits and every time had a good to great experience. Yes expensive, but it was the same cost as most places for walk in emergency visits. In January I had brought my dogs in to my old vet after confirming the appointment that week to be told the appointments had been rescheduled, again! So I called Animal Medical Center and they were able to get my dogs seen together at the same time, on the day of the week I was available in a few weeks, not a month and a half. I was thrilled! Day off we got checked in and all the front of house staff was wonderful just during like the emergency visits. The wait was not long at all. The back of house staff were amazing. The vet tech that took all our information was incredible. Her name is Lauren and she took her time and actually listened to my concerns and made recommendations that might help my one dogs allergies, along with going over my concerns about both my dogs starting to get older, they will both be 13 this year. Lauren alone was enough to make me stay with this practice but it was not just her. All the other techs were so great not onto with us but with both dogs. The vet was kind, great with the dogs, and again something I did not even realize I felt was missing at my previous vet, she listened to my concerns and had recommendations to help ease my worries. I appreciated that they went over prices for everything after the vet saw the dogs but before the shots, nail trims, and bloodwork so you knew what you were getting into. I also got price quotes for a dental cleaning and X-rays and prices for everything while expensive compare with my previous vet and are better on some items. I am thrilled I finally got my butt in gear and switched feet offices and am beyond thrilled to be a client here.

We were dealing with food & high value treat /toy aggression, leash & barrier aggressions, and their coming on call (especially when chasing rabbits were more fun situations than coming to mom & dad) was unreliable at best. Enter Kendra at Canine Peace of Mind. Kendra worked with us on the best board & train program for each of them, customizing their 'stay' schedules based on progress and behavioral shifts. We sent both our dogs to CPM from Sept 2018 - Oct 2018. Kendra knows how tough it is to leave your 'kids' for that extended period of time (because she's done it too!) and made sure to send us picture and video updates on how each of them were progressing. Seeing the quick process made the distance so worth it. Fast forward to picking our pups up on handover day and the difference was remarkable. But it was on us to take those skills & discipline home with us. It was a hard decision to let our 4 month old Iggy pup go to someone for 2 full weeks of board and…read moretrain, especially after falling so hard for our little guy named Kenny Beans! After speaking with several training programs, visiting some, and prayerfully considering what the right choice should be Madi Potts helped make our choice easy. Before we would trust anyone with our little 7.5 lb boy, we had to get a sense of one's heart. My husband and I were not looking for someone who could simply "control dogs" or "make them obey commands". We wanted someone who had a heart for dogs to have better lives with structure, less fear, and longevity due to possibilities that came with what training offered. My first inquiry call with Madi was pretty long, if I recall right. She was patient, understanding of my many questions, and willing to talk as long as I needed to feel she was safe to go to next step with. We started with a 90 min at home training session to see first hand and understand how she would personally be as a trainer with Beans. That training was stressful and also a relief as we believed we found the right person to entrust our boy to. When the day came for him to be picked up, both my husband and I were crying. It wasn't just about trusting a new person to take care of Beans, it was also the resurfaced grief of losing our whippet girl of 11 years just a few months prior. The "what ifs" where overwhelming, but we agreed we were moving forward. Madi also saw our "anguish" if you want to call it that. She quickly said she typically doesn't give an update for the first 24-48 hours but she would update us that evening. To her word, we got a picture of beans at the park and our hearts settled a bit. Throughout the two weeks, Madi was wonderful about keeping us up to date and answering questions as needed or as we annoyed her (lol we might have been a little over the top haha) She never hesitated to share and ensure our boy was learning, and struggling in some areas, but overall doing great. Now that he is back with us, we have already had one of our follow up appointments and are so thankful Madi was who helped us with Beans. He was so happy to see her and made her say goodbye before leaving (even though he was supposed to "stay", lol). Training is still a ongoing work daily, Beans still doesn't love his crate but is accepting he is safe and it's ok to not see us 24/7 (Italian greyhounds are Velcro dogs to the max!) This was an emotional, time, and financial investment that we continue to place priority on. I know many will say do not board and train an Iggy, but for our family, giving him and us the tools to have a successful life together was important. We did our due diligence and don't regret our decision. Actually we are extremely grateful we found Madi and Suburban K9. When she left after our last follow up session she looked at Beans, gave him a scratch and said "I love you". I have no doubt she does, for that I am thankful. It is my hope everyone will find someone as knowledgeable and kind hearted toward an animals as Madi is. Thank you Suburban K9 for helping us learn puppy manners with Madi. We are forever grateful.
