I brought my dog here for a follow up (from a previous urgent care visit (different facility) 2…read moreweeks earlier) because he had a ruptured anal gland. I called this clinic to make an appointment and the lady was very nice to me and I was able to get him in....because my dog is a new patient she did explain that there would be a $50 deposit to hold the appointment...I had no problem with that because I found out that it does go toward the final bill of the visit. So, the appointment was set for 10:30...they do expect you to arrive 10 min early....I was actually 15 min early but when I brought him in, they were already expecting him....which I totally appreciated the prompt check in. They checked his weight and escorted us right into the exam room. Kylie (the vet tech) was so sweet! She was so professional and Rocky was very comfortable with her handling him! And Dr. Noyes was great too! She was very knowledgeable and had no problem answering my questions. Checking out was easy and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and proficient. I'm looking forward to bringing my dog here for all of his healthcare needs.

We took my grandmother's ailing dog, Diva, to this clinic on 5/11 expecting a peaceful,…read morestraightforward euthanasia to end her suffering from lymphoma, but had the worst experience of our lives. When she got brought into the room, she was given a shot by Dr. Kelsey Noyes that was supposed to knock her out within a few minutes. We spoke to many dog owners and others who worked in vet clinics, and they unanimously said it should be peaceful and take 2-3 min tops. 10 minutes later, our dog was still conscious, and having a panic attack, eyes bulging out of her head, clearly nervous, half drugged from the sedative. My mother went out to the desk to tell them, only to be told dismissively it could take up to 20 minutes. By the time the doctor came back ~20 min later, the dog is still conscious in this panicked drugged state. After realizing the initial shot to knock her out didn't work, she opted to put a catheter (an IV) into her front leg and inject her with a second sedative shot through that. Several minutes went by and she was still awake, except panicking, shaking, gasping for air even more intensely. Dr. Noyas asked us if we were ready for the final shot, to which we immediately said yes, assuming it would immediately stop what we were witnessing. Well, that didn't happen. Of everyone we talked to over the last couple days, all of their dogs were completely unconscious before having the 2nd fatal shot administered. Ours wasn't, and was 10/10 panicking and terrified. Euthasol (the drug used) stops the heart and lungs. While injecting this, the catheter fell out of Diva's leg, essentially giving her a half-fatal dose while Dr. Noyas worked to re-attach it and administer the rest. For what seemed like 1-3 minutes (we all lost track of time, it felt like a dream), we watched our conscious dog violently shake, convulse, and gasp for air fighting against the effects. All the while my mother is having a panic attack crying, and my 85 year old grandmother is holding her to comfort her and stop her from falling off of the table because of the shaking. She slowly fades into stillness, at which point Dr. Noyas examines her and we're told she is gone. She gives her condolences shortly thereafter, and leaves with her assistant. We are all in complete shock and horror. We leave shortly after and stand in the parking lot for at least 20 minutes just trying to process and make sense of what we just witnessed. There was no apology, no explanation, no warning of what the 2nd fatal shot was going to do to her. I reach out to their practice email that evening asking to speak to the 2 highest people in the practice, the practice manager and the office manager. Instead of responding to my request and giving me their emails, I'm instead called Monday morning by another vet in the office to talk to me about the problem, perhaps so the news of what happened wouldn't get to their bosses and it gets dealt with there? At this point I don't know or don't care. Diva came from an abusive household, we did everything we could to give her a happy, comfortable, love-filled life. She didn't deserve to experience this. We didn't deserve to see this. We honestly feel like we have failed her by trusting her in this practice's care. I don't know whether to be furious or incredibly sad about this entire thing. It was the worst thing we have ever seen. Why was there a substantial lack of care throughout this procedure? Why did Dr. Noyas determine this method of care to be the best choice for Diva? What is being done to correct this? This was such a horrible experience for all of us. I don't want anyone else to go through this.

Completely and utterly incompetent. Placed an online order for 18# bag of dog food, received "your…read moreorder is ready"at 10:53am, arrived at Joliet, IL store at about 12:50pm, store associate checks, checks again, uses handheld to lookup order number, tries to lookup by last name, used different device, state "your order doesn't exist"despite showing her emails and receipt (yes it was the correct store I was at for pickup). Has me just buy one off the shelf (the whole point was to be quick in and out), tells me she can't cancel the order, call online number. After leaving the store calls my wife whom placed the order and says oh we found your order it was just in a shopping cart in the aisle (b.s. then why couldn't you look it up and why did I see no such thing as I walked the store?) I get home and call the number, which I could barely hear or understand that person, they place me on a long hold only to tell me that no one is answering at the local store I just came from and that's who would have to cancel the order and to just wait and order will cancel after 3 days and then in another 3-5 days I can be refunded..... ARE YOU PAYING ME INTEREST TO HOLD/USE MY MONEY THAT MANY DAYS?! ARE YOU USING A CARRIER PIGEON TO GET TO AND FROM THE BANKS? IS IT NOT 2026? DID PETSMART HAVE ZERO ISSUE WITH TAKING MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY FROM MY BANK? Clearly either the store associate or the online customer service, likely both, had no clue how to help; more importantly they both seemed to care less. On a separate unrelated note, Petco associates were very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous.
