The food here is delicious! I have been to many Chinese places, this is the best one by far. Prices are not crazy, service is great!

I've been to China, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia and this place is by far the best Asian cuisine I have ever had!

Husband picked up food and brought home. There was no rice in bag. We called and three different people, including the owner, got on the phone and asked each time to repeat what was wrong. None of the high school kids who answered the phone could answer a question we had about how our food was prepared. We asked for rice to be delivered, the owner said sure and hung up. No apology, no discount, no free soda. We live 3 minutes from restaurant but no rice for 15 minutes. We called back: they'd forgotten and told us it would be another 20 minutes before we got the rice. We couldn't eat our food without rice. Decided to take it back for a refund. Arrived to find other angry customers who'd waited an hour for their food and checks for meals. They took our food, gave refund. No apology, no offer of a free soda or meal. No nothing. We've supported them for years but the customer service is awful. The food has gotten subpar. I downloaded yelp app just to write this review. read more

Terrible service especially if you have teens with you. Owner sat behind counter in her computer and barked orders to the poor young people she has answering phones and seating people. She basically ran someone out of the store for complaining that there was an error on their bill and afterwards she yelled at a teenaged girl who worked there for making the mistake and said it would come out of her check. She didn't even change the customers bill he paid the mistake and left. During the same visit a two women came in and were seated near us no one came to bring them water or take their order for an eternity I heard one lady say she would go ask at the counter. The owner yelled across the restaurant not in English in an angry tone then looked back at her laptop. They waited another 5 to 7 minutes still no one came to get their order so they got up and left. When they did the owner saw it she yelled at a young man from the back again not in English and he went out the door after them. I saw him speaking to the women in the parking lot. She yelled at him ferociously when he returned for 5 minutes loudly. We got up paid the tab and will never go back. Ever. So rude. The food was questionable to add fuel to this fire I got something that was all meat on a plate. No veg no rice ... Weird. It said it was a Korean stir fry. Tasted terrible and chewed like the sole off a shoe. read more

We have gotten take out a few times and it's always great. The portions are huge and we typically share a couple things for a family of four and there's always food left! I have a sever allergy to MSG and it's nice finding a place that doesn't use it in Virginia so I can eat anything off their menu' read more

I have eaten in and gotten food delivered from here. I like their delivery because the menu has so many options & food always arrived fast. The food here is really good!!! Try the Hawaiian BBQ or Lemon Chicken Dinner. Their regular meals are more than enough for two people. Prices are moderate based on the quality of the food. I would have expected it to cost more. If you dine in their are top shelf liquors that can accomodate anyone. One thing to note about dining in... Everything about the service sucks save for the female Asian owner. She makes the drinks and is extremely nice and friendly. The servers they hire are young and like I said before, they suck! One of them has weird fake blue contacts. She ran in the back when I walked up to the counter for help. I stood there several minutes waiting for her to come out of hiding. When she did, she walked STRAIGHT PAST ME WITH HER HEAD TURNED ALL THE WAY AROUND THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION almost as if to avoid eye contact. I had to intercept her to get her attention. She offered little assistance. My server Paige was a little friendlier but not attentive... If a customer asks you for something don't tell her you're going to get it later. The owner lady saved her tip just by having great customer service. read more

I was really disappointed in the meal I was served at this restaurant. I ordered the Orange Chicken Combo. The chicken was hard and rubbery and seemed to have been cooked in old oil. The fried rice was old and mushy as well. Very bad experience. read more

The customer service at Good Fortune is terrible. I ordered from here because of the good reviews on yelp. When I placed my order I was told it would be delivered in 45 minutes. The restaurant called 45 minutes later to say my apartment was out of their 2 mile delivery radius. I told them I hadn't seen anything about a delivery radius and they said it was on the website. I went to pick up the food and informed the woman at the counter that there was nothing about a delivery radius on the website or menu to which she replied, "We don't have to put everything on the website" and also said that I should have asked when I placed my order. She argued with everything I said and was extremely rude. The food we ordered (General Tso chicken and Sesame chicken) was actually delicious and the portions were generous. However, due to the terrible customer service we will not be ordering from Good Fortune again. read more

Got takeout from here tonight - it was just edible in my opinion. Sesame beef too sweet and gooey, same for honey chicken wings , the pork fried rice was mediocre, the Singapore noodles okay not wonderful probably wouldn't get food from here again read more

The food was sooo good and fresh. I had house lomein the seasonings awesome I could taste the fresh ginger. I will be ordering from here from now on. read more

The food here is classic Chinese. If you want something special than I would go somewhere else. That being said I have never been disappointment with a dish besides there Egg Foo Young. For some reason it taste like they put peanut butter in the gravy which is a big No No to me. read more

First time order last night; sweet & sour chicken, strawberry chicken, fried rice, loe main & regular rice! Delicious! Everything was fresh & fantastic! The portions are defiantly generous with enough left for the next day! We'll be back! read more

I agree with other reviewers that the food is wonderful and it was ready by the time it was requested. However, they need to state on their website how far they will deliver to. It was pouring down rain when our office placed an order and we ordered with them since they had delivery. Although we are located in Hampton off of Coliseum Drive, they wouldn't deliver and I had to go pick up our order. If you want delivery, be sure to tell them your address up front. Otherwise, excellent food! read more

My family and I have been going to this restaurant for at least 15 years... it's clean, service is excellent, there is so much variety on their menu in terms of different genre's of Asian food that there is something for everyone! Best part is, NO MSG... Additionally, they (at least on my specific orders) will make it exactly as you like it... you want white meat, they will do white meat, want just onions, carrots and egg in your Pancit, they will whip it up .. they are all about the customers. Voted Best in Hampton if I am not mistaken 2013! Go Good Fortune! read more

Spent over $100 on food for delivery... told it would take an hour (which seemed fair- we're only a couple miles away, but that's a lot of food), when it got here they hadn't sent any rice. We called to ask for the rice, and person answering the phone was very argumentative instead of trying to fix the problem (it's just RICE, it' s not like we claimed we were missing lobster! But rice is an important part of the meal!) Finally after 45 minutes we got 2 little containers of rice. I called back. Once again, instead of trying to fix the problem much more arguing, to the point of trying to tell me I'd received 2 quarts, and I was only owed 2 quarts and a pint, and could I read the bottom of the rice container to verify how much I received? (At this point they were arguing about $2.50 of rice) They admitted we didn't get all the rice we should have, yet were completely unapologetic. I kept getting put 'on hold', the entire time I could hear employees arguing about how much we got, they sounded angry, nasty, and completely disinterested taking care of me as a customer even though the restaurant had screwed up twice. The best they could offer me to fix the problem was 'next time I came in maybe I could get extra rice'. The food is great, but not worth dealing with bad customer service and horrible, unpleasant attitudes. read more

I would give it at least 4 starts if the customer service wasnt' so horrible. The food is great, no problems there and no complaints. But we have only been doing delivery, because I'm pregnant and the portions are great because I have a semi large family. But customer service is always terrible, no matter how good the food is, the people answering the phone and representing your business also make a difference in how customers are going to perceive you. The delivery guys are always excellent but the ones answering the phones need training. It'll be awhile before I call back, because I don't feel comfortable paying the amount of money to anyone and get talked to with such disrespect. read more

Moved to the Hampton area and was looking for a Chinese delivery place one night for dinner. I work 2 jobs and had a couple hours between jobs. My husband placed our order 30 minutes before I got off from my first job, expecting it to either be there when I got home or soon after. 30 minutes minutes before I had to leave for work I called and they said "the delivery man was leaving the store with it now", mind you we live right around the corner, 3-5 minutes away. 20 minutes later, still no food so we called back again. We were then told they were just finishing up our order and it would be there soon. I proceeded to explain that we had been waiting more then 2 hours for our food and the owner then got sassy with me saying "no, you've only been waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes". Haha "only"... so that not only tells me that they didn't process our order right away and they have sense of urgency. I then had a few choice words to say as they owner tried to "father" me and told me, "go to the bathroom right now and wash my mouth out with soap, you are no kind of Lady speaking to a man that way". I was livid, the food finally got to our door as I was walking. My husband signed for it and I inhaled cold, tastless eggs rolls as I drove to work and had to save my bland fried rice for when I got home. I highly recommend you NOT do business with the place!! read more

My husbad and family have been eating there since they opened great food made fresh I have gotten to know Karen and Jackie the owners and her children really well if ever any problems she makes sure that they get fixed read more

Called in an order for delivery, was told 45 minutes, but after an hour went by called back and the order hadn't even been prepared yet! So went and picked up (only because we had paid in advance) only to get home and find out that they had shorted me 2 egg rolls @ $1.25 each! Horrible service, will NEVER darken that doorway again! read more

We called for a delivery order and were told it would take up to 90 minutes for our food. We left our phone number and after 90 minutes of waiting, I decided to call and find out if our food was on it's way. The person I spoke to told me that they had called me but I didn't answer, so they cancelled our order over an hour before. They said they called because they would only deliver up to 5 miles away, and when I told them that I was sure my house was less than 5 miles away, he changed it and said that tonight they could only go up to 3 miles away. I mentioned that I never saw that on their website or menu, but he ignored me and said my options were to replace the order, wait another hour and pick it up or just cancel. Obviously, I just cancelled. I will not eat here, due to their poor customer service. read more

Best place I have ever had Chinese food. Best in town, I am never disappointed. Generous helpings for a good price

I am sick at home with a cold and was my craving hot and sour soup. I ordered a delivery and was quoted 45 minutes which was OK with me. They arrived in less than 30 minutes. It was hot and delicious. The soup and my shrimp spring rolls were the best I've had. I'm saving my cashew chicken for dinner. read more

Was not impressed I've ate here several times and I had finally made my mind up. Wait staff was very friendly but my personal opinion about the food is a different story. read more
