We came here on a Saturday morning to celebrate my husband's birthday and had such a wonderful experience. We arrived early to beat the rush and were seated right away, which was a great start to the morning. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive the entire time, making us feel very welcome. This location is beautiful inside. Very clean, bright, and full of natural light from the large windows. It created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. I was craving something sweet and ordered the Brioche French Toast. It was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. My husband ordered the GE Omelet and loved it (he literally left no crumbs!). For our toddler, we ordered the classic breakfast from the kids menu with scrambled eggs, hash brown, and sausage patty, and he enjoyed every bite. I also really appreciated that the kids menu included a dry erase marker so he could color on it. Such a fun touch that kept him entertained. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they surprised us with a fresh pop tart of our choice. We picked strawberry, and it was AMAZING. Met my law school bestie for brunch. Waiting time was decent on a Saturday morning. We both grabbed egg Benedict's. My egg Benedict was Mexican based with a chorizo sausage patty. We enjoyed our entrees. In addition we had mimosas to accompany our meal. The mimosas were heavy on the juice for the price. The venue was cute. The bathrooms were clean. I really enjoyed my side pancake until I found, two hairs. I was sad about that as the pancake was delicious. Even with that hick-up I would go back. Wish it did have more strawberries on it though. Good portion size. I definitely could not finish it all by myself. Service was pretty good especially with how busy they are. Not a fan. I went for breakfast and noticed it was basically for foodies. I just wanted a basic breakfast so I got the the chicken fried steak, hash browns and scrambled eggs. The chicken fried steak was good, not great. Scrambled eggs were good. The hash browns were gawd awful. An over powering onion flavor. I asked the waitress if they put onions in their hashbrowns and she sai no but they do season them. They were the worst hash browns I've ever had and I've had a lot of hash browns over the years. I'm not a foodie so can't really recommend the place. So take my review with that in mind. Service was very good and the ambiance was fine. read more

I went to Good Evan's for breakfast with my mom. I was surprised because it was a Sunday before 10, and we were seated right away. Our server was so sweet and kind; she made it such a pleasant experience. We split a blueberry lemon pop tart. This thing was huge and delicious. My main meal was the breakfast sandwich. This was very flavorful, albeit a little messy to eat as far as sandwiches go. My mom had the Southwest omelet, and the meat swimming in salsa verde on top was incredible. I am picky about brunch and breakfast places because so many of them are lackluster. Even so, GE earned four out of five stars because their dishes were tasty, and the interior was modern, comfortable, and inviting. The brioche French toast had a nice flavor and came as a huge portion. One complaint I have is that there are no combos on this menu. A lot of people like to have something sweet and something savory for breakfast. If this is the case, you have to order from an over priced list of a la carte items. Perhaps it's part of the strategy of the restaurant, but I felt like I didn't need three pieces of French toast, but would rather have eggs or bacon or something on the side. Just be aware of this as it may increase your overall spend. The other issue I had here was the slow service. We waited at least 10 minutes at our table to get greeted, and none of the week staff seemed to be moving around with a sense of urgency. If I had just been with adults, it wouldn't have been as noticeable, but with a small child who was impatiently hungry, we definitely noticed. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the interior. So many breakfast places look kitschy or cheesy and just not that pleasant to be inside. But this just looked like a modern, neighborhood restaurant. read more

From day one, we were regulars. Really enjoyed the various items on the menu... all good Somewhere along the line, maybe 8 months ago, the wait staff digressed, the tables were sticky, the food portions reduced and the product itself diminished. I love Good Evans but have only been to the midtown location. I found myself in Elkhorn this week and decided to try it out. We were there a little later than breakfast fast crowd so it was quiet. Our server was attentive and very nice and also seemed to be running the whole FOH. He accidentally made me a latte instead of the London Fog I ordered and immediately realized his mistake and he brought me the correct drink and it was perfect. I ordered the Acapulco Bene and it was incredible! English muffin toasted to perfection, eggs perfect, and delicious chorizo. I asked for my hash browns extra crispy and wasn't disappointed. I was so happy to see Good Evans coming to Elkhorn! Luckily, I had their opening day off so I could check out the new location. The space is quite large for a breakfast/brunch place which is nice for those busy weekend mornings. I sat at the barista/bar area in the back since I was by myself for brunch. The baristas there were super friendly and welcoming. Their excitement for opening day was apparent and made for good conversation. The menu boasts a wide range of breakfast and lunch options so you can take your pick depending on your mood. Since I went closer to lunch, I went with the Turkey Apple sandwich and sweet potato tots. This sandwich has it all. Turkey, bacon, cheese, apples, and a delicious peanut buttery mayo spread that really tastes just like peanut butter. Super filling too! The sweet potato tots are crispy and savory - a perfect combo to me. Went here for the first time this morning at 7 AM and he was pleasantly starting to fill up (probably because first watch doesn't open up until 7) Service was really good and perfectly timed. Our waitress stopped at all the right times, checked in all the right times and was the right amount of attentiveness. She didn't seem to know too much about the menu or about the coffee, but what she lacked in food knowledge she made up in customer service. I had her choose for me between the classic breakfast in the avocado toast, and she came out with the classic breakfast. I would say that it only took may be 5 to 7 minutes from the time we order to the time I should come out. The coffee was really good with the cream and we never felt rushed though we stayed for over 2 hours talking. Average prices and pleasant interior! Will be back! read more

My husband and I went here today and waited almost an hour and still hadn't received our food. My husband is a very patient person but even he was upset. We had to ask an employee to check on our food as our server was not attentive at all. After a few looks and facial reactions from some staff we realized we weren't getting our food. I had to go up to the coffee bar to get a refill myself. They weren't very busy and people were coming in eating and leaving while we were still waiting. You can only be patient for so long. We left without eating and went somewhere else. There are plenty of places to go but we chose to go here today. What a big mistake that was. They didn't have a manager come talk to us or apologize for their mistakes. Very disappointing. Will not be returning there again. read more

Nice breakfast spot. Stopped quick after church and enjoyed breakfast. What gave this place a 5 star was that I asked the waiter his opinion of two dishes, and I went with his recommendation. I absolutely disliked it but just told him I was full so I didn't make him feel bad. This guy goes and gets me the other dish to try which was amazing. Food is mediocre at best. I had pork belly breakfast bowl- had 5 small pieces of pork, like you'd cut up for a child to not choke on. My sisters food came out cold- biscuits and gravy - she sent it back to her nuked (gravy was white and what looked like a chopped in sausage patty). Everyone else at our table were kids... they thankfully didn't f*ck up the pancakes. Service was good- the place was super clean. Felt like the food was all premade meals in bags they just dump on to a plate after heating up. I will never come back here. I will start off with my French toast was wonderful! The experience started off a little rocky. My wife was sprayed with cleaner by the waitress at the table next to us. Appropriate apologies were issued. No big deal. Not sure if there was miscommunication in the kitchen, but the brioche French toast was upgraded to include fruit instead of just powered sugar and syrup. Not a problem because I enjoyed the fruit. However it was a $2.49 upcharge. Another surprise was that the sweet potato tots were out and were substituted with sweet potato fries. Different consistencies, but not big deal; except that we found out when the food was delivered. It would have been nice to be asked if the substitution was acceptable to us. My wife's omelette was good. It was a little different than expected. The egg was cooked and folded, THEN the ingredients were added. They spilled out often. The ingredients look fresh and tasted great. It was just anticipated that the ingredients would be cooked into the eggs to get the full effect of the flavor throughout. My brioche French toast was prepared perfectly. Done consistently all the way through with being overdone in spots. It was plated nicely and the presentation overall was good. In zealous anticipation, I took a bite prior to taking a picture. Overall a good experience with a few small missteps. This was my second time at this particular restaurant's location. I came back because of the great food and the initial experience (5 Stars). read more
