Came here on a whim. Everything is made here FRESH. The owners are sweet and welcoming. Had a duct crunch roll which they bake in house (YUM) with moist chicken, bbq sauce and grilled onion. Even the cookie that came with the meal was delicious! Happy to have a new sandwhich spot! read more

Great food, support local business, great hard working owners, they bake their own bread

The old business adage of 'Quality, Price, or Service, pick any two' holds true for the majority of businesses. Close to the intersections of Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, and Carmichael, the new Breakfast/Lunch spot serving the most killer food, Good Eats Deli, ups the ante by introducing a fourth component to that saying... 'Quantity, or Value'. And I'm excited to say that for the hungry residents of these areas, they smash the old adage and have created a very rare success of excelling at all four! Sam, and her husband Ramzi, ran a successful Good Eats Deli for 11 years in the heart of the Financial District in San Francisco. They were a huge hit with both the suits and everyday workers. They offered something that others didn't and were loved by all. That was, until the Pandemic of 2020 hit and decimated their business. Relocating to the greater Sacramento area, they hunted for a new location to recreate what they loved to do, cook, and serve great food to their customers. And in the six weeks since they've opened, a loyal following visits them frequently! Housed off San Juan Avenue, on the Fair Oaks side in the Raley's Shopping Center, Good Eats Deli replaced a failed sandwich shop. And it's a good thing because my first visit blew me away. And for someone who doesn't eat fast food or patronize chain restaurants, I am very particular about 'Quality, Price, Service, and Value'. Well, Sam and Ramzi will blow you away at all four! QUALITY... they make from scratch 95% of their products. You'll be hard-pressed to find that in just about any restaurant. The bread? OMG! Delish!!! Fresh made-to-order salads. Breakfast dishes that make a quick-to-go meal. And the sandwiches and wraps are just amazing. They cater to carnivore and plant-based eaters alike. PRICE... an out-of-town trip recently with some friends and someone picked up sandwiches at that 'Jersey' sandwich place. I was quite surprised that it was $12.00 for a skimpy sub sandwich. It was lacking in flavor and ingredients, but have never been before, nor frequented this kind of place, my friends told me this was the norm. Well, expect the myth to be shattered at Good Eats Deli. Not only do you get a sandwich or wrap that is busting with quality ingredients, but you also get a side salad, PLUS a homemade and freshly baked cookie. For all about the same price! SERVICE... Sam runs the front, while Ramzi cooks most of the food, and both offer up their old-world charm and service. It shows from when you first walk in the door... you are not just a number. You are not just another customer. You'll become family in no time. Just ask one of the regulars who are remembered by name and their favorite dishes. VALUE... this is where Sam and Ramzi's Good Eats Deli has NO competition. The serving size is big. Okay, more like really large. Scratch that, how about HUGE! It's a meal, and then some! Combined with the quality ingredients, size, service, and price, there was no skimping. What did I have? For breakfast, I had the Veggie Wrap which was delicious with freshly cooked eggs, homemade pesto, roasted veggie, and wrapped up and grilled Panini style. For lunch, I've tried the Hot Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich on their homemade bread which was off the chart. I've also tried the Falafel Wrap which is also done Panini style and includes their amazing house-made and from-scratch Falafel. The homemade vinaigrette with Spring Green was great, as well as their Caesar Salad. Again, portions are big. And the cookie is an added bonus! Bottom line... this is the food like your mom or grandmother used to make. This is first-rate, top-notch, and makes you want to come back again and again. Please support small businesses and give Good Eats Deli a try. I am most certain it will become one of your new favorite places, and the warmth of Sam and Ramzi will make you want to come back again and again! read more

Amazing! Got the chipotle chicken sandwich which comes with dried cranberries. I was unsure about it but I'm a big sweet & savory gal so I decided to go for it and I did not regret it! The perfectly cooked chicken combined with the tasty chipotle spread plus the avocado with the cranberries made for a delicious sandwich! And to top it all off, the sandwich came with a side salad AND a fresh baked cookie. 10/10 all around. I will definitely be making this my go-to sandwich spot in the area! read more

Sandwich was fantastic, great value and the homemade roll was the icing on the cake. You get a lot of delicious taste for your $12.00 at this place. My killer hot sandwich came with a large Caesar salad and a homemade cookie. Wowsa! Best part, you're supporting your local neighborhood small business. These people deserve your dollars, they put out a great product with good service in a clean environment. Go! read more

First time ordering from them, and I ordered through DoorDash. The Turkey Royale sandwich was perfection. And the Dutch crunch roll was delicious! The DoorDash menu is not accurate, so if you don't like spring mix salad, then I would call the restaurant to ask what other options are available. Generous portion of salad, and a very delicious cookie. I will definitely be back, and can't wait to try other items! read more

The sandwiches are to die for. The Pesto on the Country sandwich is so fresh and balanced...the Gyro is my favorite though. The house made rolls are perfection. The portion sizes are great. Their Macaroni Salad is a great addition to all of their sandwiches and wraps. The couple that owns the Deli are so sweet and gracious, you can tell how much pride they take in their food. The restaurant is immaculate. Will recommend this place 100 times over. Bravo! read more

We read a review from the "Neighborhood" app. Yes, we (mostly ME) were swayed without free lottery tickets to take a chance. With my cheetah like speed, we arrived at the deli. Greeted by the super friendly and hospitable owners. Very sanitary establishment! Background music inside the deli tempted me to want to foxtrot my girlfriend around the deli. Temptation did not overtake me. The food. OMG! Super fresh, cleanly presented, fresh flipping breads. Everything from scratch. .My tummy was rumbling like a big band as we had a great conversation with the owners. I gotta say, I was full after destroying my Dutch bread club sandwich, spring salad with balsamic dressing, and a coooookie. Yes a fresh baked cookie! My eyes were blinking rapidly as the cookie put me in a coma. Yes, we will be returning. My score 11+ Going to surprise them by wearing a disguise and trying their breakfast menu. Ive been coming to this place about once a week and i must say they have great sandwiches and great prices for what your getting

Food and service are both EXCELLENT. Home made and hand rolled bread, fresh macaroni salad, and fresh cookies everyday! You can't beat it.

Came here to pick up sandwiches for lunch on Saturday morning to get ready for a day at Folsom Lake. Not only is this one of the few sandwiches places in the area open by 9:00am, but they have great sandwiches. I ordered my bf a custom Chipotle Chicken sandwich (no cranberries , no avocado, add grilled onions) and I got The Club. We both enjoyed our respective sandwiches. The bread and produce was incredibly fresh. They lightly panini press the bread and it's amazing because it slightly crisps the bread without making it dry or too crunchy. The meat was a great quality, flavorful, and not dry. Both the side salad and macaroni salad were good. The side salad came with balsamic vinegar dressing and the macaroni salad was not over sauced with mayo. Plus, service was great. Everyone was friendly and they made our sandwiches quickly. The chocolate chip cookie they include is also a delicious surprise treat. We will definitely be coming here again. read more
