Instead, it was matcha latte with syrup at the bottom, which I believe was lavender syrup. It's also topped with their coffee cloud cold foam. Regardless, it was darn good! After doing a bit of research on Google, turns out that the combination of matcha latte and lavender is supposed to resemble the taste of milk that's leftover from a bowl of fruit loops. If you're not feeling like coffee, tea or a latte, they have other drinks available including beer and wine. I thought I was coming into a coffee shop, but they actually had a lot more to offer, including pizza on their menu.

The coffee itself was really nice, not overly bitter, and the latte was sweetened the right amount. Only qualm was the lemon gelato had a metallic taste, which is common when acid reacts with aluminum. We all tried it and decided it was inedible so I brought back to the counter and just let her know that we could not eat it as it had a metallic taste. She tried it (out of the same bowl we all had been tasting it from) and basically said, no that's just how it is. Considering we had spent $50 at the cafe, it would have been easy to get a replacement gelato, without arguing with the customer. I think she knew we were irritated and came to our table to ask if we were okay. I appreciate that you approached us afterwards but a little goes a long way in the beginning. I will be back and will review again, hopefully service is a bit more forgiving.

Three or four tables have power receptacles, and the staff is friendly. Everything about this place says that it should be a 5-star, daily visit, favorite. Except it's not. Don't get me wrong. I find myself going there more and more. It is just somehow less relaxing than a starbucks. On fire. I can't pick just what it is. The inconsistent décor, the stripmall flooring, or utilitarian seating arrangement. It just lacks character. It's a fine enough place. And I really would suggest it to anybody. I really do like it.
