Location, location, location ... right!?! Good Co Pub is situated in a prime location in popular Steveston Village. See review for more pix. This pub will help to revive this area by bringing good cheer & exciting games (football, hockey etcetera) via big screen tv's, to this cozy neighbourhood. It's been a decades long struggle for City (aka boondoggle) Council to figure out what type of businesses to allow in, to set up shop in & around Steveston waterfront. One can always be trusted when they come knocking & say - ''I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Run fast if you ever hear those words! I was here at Good Co for the first time to see the Argentina vs Mexico (World Cup 2022) game. Sorry El Tri. My 'Pick me Upscale' cocktail was smooth like dat. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of my cheeseburger. Great taste indeed. This pub has a nice vibe to it. The layout is on point & the views of the Fraser River are great. Looking forward to going back for drinks & more World Cup games. Go Canada!

I stopped by for their paint night event. Service was great. Food was alright. My diet coke was a bit flat and I do not recommend anyone to order it. However, my poutine was good with a decent amount of cheese and beef. Our server checked up on us regularly for refills and clearing plates.

The location is great - when you arrive near the Steveston waterfront, this restaurant stands out. Before you leave the area, this restaurant stands out. It's kind of hard to miss. There's plenty of seating area and is a good place to bring your friends. The food is standard pub fare with large portions and the service was decent and our food arrived on time. I don't know how I feel about the two classic video games. I feel a pool table would have been more eye-catching while waiting in line or waiting for your order. Any thoughts?

Good food, good service. Chill sports bar in Steveston with a great patio, perfect venue to hangout with friends.

Right before new years, we thought We'd support local once…read moreagain and try a newly opened taphouse in our neighbourhood. We were seated very fast and service was with a smile. Ordered the buffalo mac n cheese with spicy doritos. My all-time fav beef dip and the prawn scampi. And of course, A pint of ice cold peach beer for myself. The Mac n cheese was amazingly cheesy. Nice chunks of buffalo chicken and topped with real spicy doritos. Served on a hot skillet, my son loved it. The beef dip was also great. Nicely toasted bread ( but not garlic toast) and filled generously with a mound of juicy shaved beef. Fries were a nice touch and complimented the meal well. Both were nicely seasoned and the au jus very tasty. My only comment is that they shoudnt have melted a piece of cheddar cheese on the beed as it defeats the purpose Of the au jus and garlic aioli. Without au jus, it was more like a cheese steak sandwich now. The shrimp scampi was the least favourite of all. The pasta was bland and under seasoned and so was the sauce. No capers around and did not help with giving the dish more flavour. The shrimps though were nicely cooked, plenty, and succulent. Again, our server was great. She was the only one working but tried her best to be efficient. Kudos to her! Overall, it was an average experience. I would still go back and sample the other stuff. For pub food, it was good and acceptable. Their covid protocols were good. Dividers between tables and masks everywhere...bartender too. Cheers! Happy eating!

Still fresh & clean having just opened this past summer…read more Steveston Built Local Taphouse & Grill is definitely an enhancement to this area of Steveston Village. One has to move with the times & marketing SV as that 'quiet sleepy fishing village' to tourists can only get you so far in the 21st Century with our super fast paced life styles! SB is a neat, clean comfortable chilled out pub. Locals will be impressed & very happy with this new pub option. To be honest I was blown away with how great my meal tasted! I was not expecting it to be so amazing! My Crispy Chicken Burger was truly one of the best I've ever had!!! The fries complemented the meal - these fries were again the best ones I've had yet!!! I really do hope SB can continue to maintain these high standards for a long time! I've gone to pubs all over Metro Vancouver & it feels like the chef just got out on parole, or the pub just keeps employing high school kids in the kitchen! One really wants to support - 'Local' - but too often the food tastes just like - sadness! My friend ordered the Happy Hour special - roast beef & he really enjoyed that too. Friendly & prompt service all round give SB high marks! I sat on the chair against the wall & I do say it was such comfort there I could have stayed here having drinks & watched the football game till late. Wishing SB all the very best with this new pub & here's to hoping they can retain a great crew & not have high turnover that is part & parcel of the restaurant industry! Cheers to SB!

There was a pleasant fun vibe with the music and there were a couple visibly happy patrons at some tables we were seated near. The server was very nice and patient as we took awhile looking at the menu figuring out what to order. We decided on an order of calamari appy. An order of warm seafood salad for wifey, 2pc halibut and chips for me and we shared an order of tom yum goon soup from the Thai section. Everything was tasty, fresh and perfectly cooked. The calamari had a nice crisp, well cooked and had a nice tzatziki dip. The fish was perfectly cooked and portion size was wonderful. I got a nice mouth full of fish each bite and the batter was not overly thick. The Thai soup was flavourful and had decent amount of mushroom and shrimp within. I did notice a slight sweetness more than usual when I've had this soup elsewhere but it was still very flavourful and delicious. Just making it a different rendition of a classic. The seafood in the seafood salad was Bountiful and the salad portion decent as well as fresh. Imo for a chef to pull off wonderful cook and flavor of different styles within the same establishment is a thumbs up to their craft. Wifey and I enjoyed the meal and I would eat there again.

Service was nice and warm, deserving of the 20% tips. Food-wise, I would recommend trying one of their Thai dishes to see if it's to your liking because the chef makes authentic Thai foods. Feel free to order fish and chips since that's a classic item to order. One can visit at the end of happy hour then stay longer for the evening live music if you are just chilling out in Steveston.
