Location, location, location ... right!?! Good Co Pub is situated in a prime location in popular Steveston Village. See review for more pix. This pub will help to revive this area by bringing good cheer & exciting games (football, hockey etcetera) via big screen tv's, to this cozy neighbourhood. It's been a decades long struggle for City (aka boondoggle) Council to figure out what type of businesses to allow in, to set up shop in & around Steveston waterfront. One can always be trusted when they come knocking & say - ''I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Run fast if you ever hear those words! I was here at Good Co for the first time to see the Argentina vs Mexico (World Cup 2022) game. Sorry El Tri. My 'Pick me Upscale' cocktail was smooth like dat. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of my cheeseburger. Great taste indeed. This pub has a nice vibe to it. The layout is on point & the views of the Fraser River are great. Looking forward to going back for drinks & more World Cup games. Go Canada!

I stopped by for their paint night event. Service was great. Food was alright. My diet coke was a bit flat and I do not recommend anyone to order it. However, my poutine was good with a decent amount of cheese and beef. Our server checked up on us regularly for refills and clearing plates.

The location is great - when you arrive near the Steveston waterfront, this restaurant stands out. Before you leave the area, this restaurant stands out. It's kind of hard to miss. There's plenty of seating area and is a good place to bring your friends. The food is standard pub fare with large portions and the service was decent and our food arrived on time. I don't know how I feel about the two classic video games. I feel a pool table would have been more eye-catching while waiting in line or waiting for your order. Any thoughts?

Good food, good service. Chill sports bar in Steveston with a great patio, perfect venue to hangout with friends.

The interior is definitely American themed. Even though the building is close to the water, the windows face towards the street. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Staff are friendly but stretched out. The place was pretty busy, with people in the waiting area. Food prices have obviously gone up, but the quality is solid. The meat is well cooked but not burnt, and the portion size is pretty decent. Big Johnson plate - St. Louis ribs, brisket, dino bone (aka cow rib), pulled pork. Brisket was a bit dry. Pulled pork and ribs were quite good. Dino bone was honestly a bit disappointing, as there wasn't too much meat, and it's more like a small portion of 1 rib. Spanish rice pliaf - decent but could use more ingredients. I think it was only rice with some diced onions and carrots. Mac & cheese - pretty tasty. Burnt ends - brisket ends. They are definitely slightly burnt, but not inedible. These sell out early for some reason. Guess they're popular. On a side note, this place also has a pretty decent whiskey selection, with taster flights available. Decent choice if one is in the area. Recommended.

Good thing we had a reservation for our party of 6. There are two round tables which can fit 6 people. Otherwise it's waiting for tables to open up to form bigger tables. It did take a longer than usual (according to friends who have been here before) to get our food. Apparently the kitchen was busy with take out/delivery orders. The menu looked good with plenty of bbq items and even Korean fried chicken (KFC). Huh? I guess everyone loves KFC. I saw gumbo on the specials menu and just had to try that. It was a Turkey and sausage gumbo with rice. It was not what I had in mind when it arrived. It was thicker and darker looking than the usual gumbo. Despite the look, it was very tasty. I did wish it had more liquid. There was plenty of meat and I thought there were pulled pork and brisket besides the Turkey and sausage. I guessed it was so heavily seasoned I couldn't tell what meat I was eating. Not served with any sides. I also tried the brisket sandwich which came with either fries or salad. I requested for the moist/fatty meat so that it would not too dry. It was a generous serving of brisket with slaw and pickle in the sandwich. Some parts were chunks of fatty meat and others were lean and moist. I was it was melt in your mouth brisket. My friends like the Dino ribs which were really big ribs. They also like the pulled pork. Another friend had the 1/2 lb brisket and it was a bit dry. The server got the kitchen to re-do it and added sauce to the new plate. Kudos to the staff for wanting to make it better. I guess it's a good place for bbq food and prices are fair here. Free parking on the street. Just remember to make reservations if you have a big group. It's a nice place to dine in Steveston if you don't want seafood or prefer a meat place.

We were informed we could sit anywhere outside. By the pleasant server. We were given the menu and perused what we wanted. I ordered grandma's clam chowder which comes served in a sour dough bun hollowed out. I also ordered waffles with fried chicken. Wifey got the sweet and salty which was French toast with soft poached egg/hollandaise. The waffle I ordered also came with a soft poached egg/hollandaise. For beverages I got a regular coffee and wifey got a lavender latte. The plating was absolutely beautiful for the dishes. My first bite of the waffles and chicken was delightful. The chicken was moist and seasoned well and the waffle was nice and soft. There also was a salad on top which was dressed in a sweet dressing. That was standard as greens go. The clam chowder had a decent amount of large clams in it, the texture and creaminess was good. I did feel the base or soup stock used was a tad light for my liking as I wasn't catching the essence of clam chowder flavor. Other wise it was ok. But filling it you intend to eat the whole bun which I did cuz I love sourdough bread. Wife's french toast was lovely, I had a small taste and to me it was good. Nothing mind blowing but decently good. The hollandaise used to be tasted buttery and legit. The meal on a whole was very good and we love the patio seating. Would definitely come back again.

We were seated at the table next to the water view. Attached is the menu & photo of the meal. For appetizer - We all chose Spicy Tuna Tartare- it was a good choice... it was very flavourful & tuna was fresh... spicy mayo went very well with the tuna tartare For mains - My hubby had seafood bouillabaisse- he said it was ok, the sauce was a little salty but I think it is meant to have it with the seafood The rest of us had the miso glazed sablefish... we didn't quite taste the miso however the fish was very tender & the risotto was nicely cooked For Dessert - Truffle cake with chocolate sauce & whipped cream - it was a huge dessert & it was very rich! And... Panna Cotta with mixed berry compote - nicely done & not too sweet.

I've gotten the truffle fries, popcorn, chicken, and charcuterie board off the Happy Hour menu before. All are solid choices. I've also ordered fish and chips before and it was quite decent as well. Liked that they have long and thin fries. Fish was light and fluffy, not too much batter. Also comes with some fermented cabbage which was actually a great to cleanse the palette when it's feeling a little oily from all the fish. Overall, great spot and would return, especially for a chill afternoon patio day
