I had to use a nipper at home to clean off the sides of my nails where there was still some hard skin left behind. The massage was quite light on pressure too. It felt more like someone applying lotion on my feet rather than a massage.

I've been a loyal monthly customer, but I've started noticing uneven fades and longer, missed patches in the front of my hair. What ultimately made me decide never to return was Gloria's refusal to properly blend my fade for a smoother transition--despite having cut my hair for over a year. It felt careless and unprofessional. I also have concerns about sanitation. I experienced more breakouts on my scalp, which she used as a reason not to detail my fade, leading me to believe the tools may not be properly sanitized.

The main woman who may also be the owner is rude and seems to change her prices when she feels like it. I've gotten my hair flat-ironed or curled here a hand full of times, but I stopped spending money with them after I noticed that two people (whom were Ethiopian) came after me and were serviced before me. After that, I would only pay them every once in a while to wash my hair- no blow dry or anything else. It was a $10 fee to get my hair washed. I visited this place yesterday to get my hair washed and was asked if I'm getting a flat-iron and I stated no. When it was time to pay, I was asked if I wanted cash back as well. They usually give cash back to allow people to tip. In my mind, I was already going to tip $5 so I requested that. I was given my receipt and it stated $20. I was confused as to why I was charged $20 when the wash should have been $10 and I only requested $5 cash back. I told the woman that I thought it was $10, and she just said no. I paid the $15 and kept my $5 because I'll be damned if I pay $20 for a hair wash with no blow dry. Now that I think of it, I think the woman added her own tip. In addition to hair services, they also have a barber for mens hair cuts and they do some waxing. If you seen the way the waxing machine looks and you care about sanitation, you may not want use that service. Ambiance: the salon isn't well maintained in the least. It usually smells of burnt hair or a bad perm. There isn't much decor. The seating and other things are screaming for an update. I don't think they have a window to open, so there isn't much air circulation. The bathrooms are usually dirty and the ceiling in there drips when it rains. I've never seen anyone come with an appointment and there is usually only 2 hair stylists, so I believe it is a first come first served situation. You will be here at least 3 hours with how long they take. Your hair will look decent and maybe even beautiful, but I hate that they add product to your finished hair because it makes the style get greasy and stale faster. There is free parking in the parking lot.

I don't normally wear makeup, and prefer a natural look. I usually only filled in my brows to put myself together, and even that was a hassle by my standards. My eyebrows are sparse and do not grow in the full shape I would like. I found Angela's work on her instagram page and knew she was exactly what I hoped to find. She finds the unique shape that works best for each individual, and somehow works magic to make it look like you're not wearing any makeup or tattoo. I've had my tattooed brows and lash line for several weeks now, and they feel like ME. I haven't filled in my brows since. I look back at before pictures, and now they look so sparse to me, even with brow makeup. Not only is Angela an artist, but she is a joy to work with.
