These folks are the best. I've had hair cuts from Mitchell and Nick and both guys are fantastic. When I first walked in I was worried that these guys were waay too cool for me, but they are the nicest people you will ever meet and it's a very welcoming atmosphere. They give AMAZING hair cuts and their attention to details is impressive. I had to make 3 to 4 appointments, my car broken down and I couldn't make my appointment I called probably 10 times and no one answered the call. I was charged $45 for the haircut even after going into the establishment to talk to them and gave them proof why I couldn't make the appointment. I tried to reschedule, but the manager wanted me to repay for a new haircut. I would not recommend this place. They take a card on file before you get the cut and never answer the phone. I tried to reschedule online, but you have to do it 2 hours before. They weren't accommodating at all, or understanding of my situation. read more

So glad I found this place. Nick is a badass. I had someone destroy my beard recently (think a drunken, blindfolded idiot who may not have even had opposing thumbs and might as well have used a weed whacker to get the accurate shape she achieved), and he got it sorted out. Still gonna take a minute to get back to where it was, but he got it back in shape. He asked lots of questions along the way to make sure he was getting it just how I wanted. They should rename their joint from Good Barbers to BEST Barbers, seriously. Nick is an absolute stud and has been cutting my hair for over a year now, as I followed him from Truman. Never a bad cut from my guy. Justin and Melanie are phenomenal barbers as well, just from seeing the impeccable cuts they give every time I'm in and out with Nick. Really weird/sad/annoying experience that bothered me in the moment and .... continues to bother me. Just stopping in to urge homies to look at other local options like The Boulder Barber or Austin's Barbershop because kindness matters and who you give business to matters more during a global pandemic. I really had wanted a chance to be serviced here after following some of the stylists/barbers on instagram for some time. It has been 6-8 wks since my undercut has been touched up/maintenanced, so I figured it was my chance to book! Usually I get my undercut buzzed and then like a few lines or a basic design to stay looking cute and fresh. ANYWAYS WHATEVER - Supposedly they do have a phone number though it is not on their website or Instagram, the two ways I was made most aware of reaching them. I tried to book online only to realize they have limited booking options and I still had some questions and wanted to talk to someone (in case there might be a barber willing to spend some time and take creative license and leave me looking fresh? idk man, i was just tryna give a homie business, and these people look like they know what they are doing.... Anyways I couldn't find a phone number and I couldn't figure out how to book what I wanted online, but I saw that they had an 11am and 12 noon appointment open to be booked online so I showed up around 11:05 to see if I could get some questions answered and/or get something on the books. I'm a young woman with long hair and that already elicits nasty or confused looks from men when I walk in most barber shops. But today, instead of this - lmao - I was greeted/treated ... some type of way... by I'm guessing Melanie who highlighted my inability to find the phone number on Google before telling me they just plain don't do designs (so I guess they don't offer lines or little notches or anything...) nor have time in their schedule (even though the online booking system had totally said different..). I asked if she could refer me to anywhere else Boulder based and she (while other barbers agreed) suggested the type of service I was looking for would only be available in Longmont or Denver. She also made a weird comment about me having long hair and that being an issue or not something they could accommodate (my undercut has about an inch or two of growth, and the fact that the hair on top of my head is lengthy has never been an issue for anyone else). bro i get it was election day but the whole interaction was WEIRD! she did Not want my business nor want to answer my questions and i felt majorly judged for my appearance and treated like shit? so yeah - they are cuties to follow on IG but have a barely accessible phone number, 3 style options that are like ROTC, G-Eazy and the fratstar in-between, little inclination toward creaTive freedom despite the ~artsy hipster yet old school barber~ aesthetic which they have down fosho. sad. they clearly kill it w catering to the white boulder skater boy demographic being nextdoor neighbors w satellite. the happy end to my story is that i called around a few more places for a walk-in and found Tran at The Boulder Barber (Boulder OGs like their nextdoor neighbor Village Coffeeshop!!!!) who greeted me w the sweetest smile and when I asked if he could do a design or get me looking fresh he was widdit, and now I feel like the freshest bitch in Boulder w the sweeetest breeze blowing past my freshly shaved neck + undercut. Since moving to Boulder from Chicago, I've had to drive quite awhile into Denver to find a tight fade and symmetrical beard trim (bearded guys know what I mean). Naturally I was excited to try out Good Barbers in Boulder, only a few minutes from home. I scheduled an appointment with Melanie thru their website, which was easy. Definitely wasn't disappointed. Excellent haircut from Melanie! I am female and went in with a chin length bob and asked to have a pixie cute. Melanie was wonderful. She got exactly what I was after and kept checking in during the process to make sure. She was great to talk to, probably one of the most relaxing haircuts I've had! The decor of the place is fun and bright, the chairs are super comfortable old style barber chairs...the music was great. Being on Valmont you can park right outside which is a bonus. Hands down the best haircut I've ever gotten. And every time Melanie cuts my hair, it's somehow even better than the last time. Her process is magical, it's cathartic, it's compliment-inducing. If you want people to stop you on the street and ask how they can look that good, then these are the barbers for you. If you don't want that to happen I mean just keep walking you don't have to engage with everyone, maybe wear a hat. The space is full of light and undeniably clean. It's like punk rock skaters went back to the golden age of barber shops and brought all the high tech good business stuff of today. The reservation making process is super easy and you get a little confirmation/reminder text which is awesome. Truly amazing work done here I once saw a man walk in who I thought was bald and before my haircut was over he walked out with a clean fade. Great coffee table books with a classic barbershop vibe to them are also really fun to flip through if you end up waiting for your cut. All in all from the hot neck shave to the great styling done here I would recommend this place to literally anyone and Melanie will cut my hair until I go bald. read more
