She is somehow able to translate my nonsensical description of what I'm looking for into exactly what I envisioned, and is able to style the cuts in such a way that they remain consistent (I have medium/longer hair style) for several months, which is appreciated as I may be away for three months at a time due to work. She also does many other barber services, like the neck shave with the razor, and does beard styling (I had a 2 foot long covid beard she transformed into a very respectable look for example). Easy to book an appointment on the website, and it gives helpful reminders if you are busy so you don't forget. TLDR: Lyndsie is the GOAT, if she moved her shop to Antarctica, I'd seriously consider saving up for a flight just to keep being a client!

I was tired of Floyd's cuts which have gone downhill over the years, so I looked up other barbers…read morenear by. I had driven by Rock Barbers a couple times but never even noticed it. It's a little off the street and their orange circle signage is inconspicuous so easy to miss. There's plenty of parking out front, and some reserved spots with clever signs. The inside is clean and quiet, and there's lots more funny signage to gander at while you're waiting. They don't have a set receptionist but you can reserve barber appointments on their website, each one has their own schedule and different prices based on the type of cut you're after. Single length buzzes are around $25 and more intricate cuts are closer to $40, on average. Tish is an absolute gem and can't recommend her enough. She's patient, takes her time to give a precise cut, will do exactly what you ask for, but will also give honest suggestions if that's what you are looking for. They might be a little more expensive than a Floyd's but I always leave Rock Barbers satisfied.

It seemed okay when I went out with my kind of wet hair, but after a bit I realized that it just didn't look very good. I went back explained that I was not happy with the look, and they immediately took care of it professionally and with a smile. I think it was partly my fault for not really examining it before I walked out. Whatever, they're great folks and I'll continue to get my haircut there.

To make it worse, he denied all accountability and tried blaming me, and when I sat there upset about it, he said there was nothing he could do and that I had to leave, as if me not having to pay anymore was justification for having my hair completely messed up. Saving $40 was not worth the 3 months I am going to have to wait for my hair to grow back. 0/10 experience. Do not come here.

Hillary was wearing an AirPod for the entire haircut, and not once tried to make conversation or ask how I was doing. When the haircut was over she never once offered to give an MVP, she just said thanks for coming in. Haircut was mediocre at best and could tell she was rushing through the entire time. He sat down and explained what he wanted and needed. The barber actively listened and provided the service he wanted. The barber actually asked before performing any services- because he may have not mentioned or left out not wanting his mustache trimmed for example. FINALLY!!!! My husband and I decided to give this barbershop a try because it was conveniently located right…read morenext to other places we frequent. We decided to give them a chance as they didn't look terribly busy and they were welcoming upon entering. The barber did a decent job the first time, so we decided to make an appointment to come back for a follow-up haircut, that was a mistake we still regret to this day. I had an appointment scheduled at 2 pm with Zayn (A PRE-PAID scheduled appointment might I add, you have to pre-pay in order to book an apointment which at the time I thought was odd... why would you pay for a haircut WITH TIP before even getting the service done? Red flag number 1 that I foolishly ignored) We arrived 15 minutes prior to our appointment as we were trying to be respectful and uphold to the PREPAID appointment time. He had a client in his chair so we decided to take a seat and patiently wait for him to finish, again we were early so that was fair. Upon waiting for him to finish we were uncomfortable in the waiting area, there was very loud vulgar music playing, people eating snacks, and conversing very loudly. It looked more like a frat house with a bunch of "dude-bros" just paling around. We sat and waited 30+ minutes PAST our appointment time, we were 1 minute from walking out. The only reason we waited that long after our scheduled appointment was because again, we already paid AND TIPPED this person, if we walked out we would've been out that money as they stated "NO REFUNDS" (I can see why now...) As we we were getting ready to leave he finally finished with his other "client". But here is the kicker, that "client" got up from the chair, went back to the restroom, and came out in an aapron and proceeded to cut someone else's hair. IT WAS AN EMPLOYEE. So he had paying customers sitting on the couch waiting well past the scheduled appointment time so that he could line up his buddy. That was completely unprofessional and honestly an insult. RED FLAG NUMBER 2 I UNFORTUNATLEY IGNORED. So we reluctantly stayed for the (prepaid) haircut. While he was cutting my husband's hair the barber was visibly distracted and talking to all of his buddies in the shop rather than paying attention to him. When he asked him what side he wanted to be lined up on my husband told him twice, he then proceeded to put a towel over his face so he couldn't see what was happening. Upon removing the towel my husband sees he is lined up on the WRONG SIDE. RED FLAG NUMBER 3! 3 strikes this is ridiculous. Once he noticed that, he felt like if this was being half-assed, what else was being over looked? So he asked him if he had used a new blade on him as he did not see him grab a new one. He said "Don't worry bro I got packs of these" I am hoping he was being honest but at this point I wouldn't put anything past this place. Needless to say, we will NEVER return to this barbershop, and buyer beware! Do not book an appointment ahead of time, that is how they guarantee they get paid regardless of the quality of the cut they give you. This whole place feels like a bunch of young people with no experience in professionalism or customer service. This is unfortunate because I pass by this place every single day as I am a local who lives close by, but I will have to find a place that takes their customers a little more seriously.
