I was tired of Floyd's cuts which have gone downhill over the years, so I looked up other barbers near by. I had driven by Rock Barbers a couple times but never even noticed it. It's a little off the street and their orange circle signage is inconspicuous so easy to miss. There's plenty of parking out front, and some reserved spots with clever signs. The inside is clean and quiet, and there's lots more funny signage to gander at while you're waiting. They don't have a set receptionist but you can reserve barber appointments on their website, each one has their own schedule and different prices based on the type of cut you're after. Single length buzzes are around $25 and more intricate cuts are closer to $40, on average. Tish is an absolute gem and can't recommend her enough. She's patient, takes her time to give a precise cut, will do exactly what you ask for, but will also give honest suggestions if that's what you are looking for. They might be a little more expensive than a Floyd's but I always leave Rock Barbers satisfied. read more

First time in, and I really enjoyed my experience getting a haircut. I didn't book a time and will not be making that mistake again. I got lucky and there was an opening within the next 30 minutes. I got to explore all of the signs and check out some of the beard wax and creams laid out for testers. My hair stylist listened to what I wanted and did a great job cutting my hair and making me feel welcome. Overall my experience was 10 stars, but Google only let me give them 5 stars. I went to Rock Barbers on Friday 5.25.18 my stylist was Tish. I had been going to another salon and she recently left so I was over do on a cut. I found Rock Barbers online and there were a lot of good reviews. I showed a photo of how I wanted my hair cut and she replied Oh cool we can do that. She got started and the said ok all done i looked and couldn't believe my eyes as It looked nothing like photo. I told her that she needed to try to fix it up a bit. Second time I've been here. The first time was great with Josie, but this time around with Wendy, YIKES! Her attitude was garbage from the beginning. I didn't hear her call my name in what I can only assume is her indoor, indoor voice. Finally, she came up and asked my name and told me "I've been calling your name." Then proceeded to roll her eyes and smack her gum. From there, I knew this was going to be awesome! She finished up and from the few glances in the mirror, I kept telling myself, "She's going to fix it, she's going to fix it." Wrong. It's supposed to be a fade, not a soft line. I usually go to to John or Wendy. They have amazing attention to detail and I never feel like they're rushing to get onto the next customer, even though they're often booked for all day. I have a ton of hair so it's not always an easy job, so I appreciate they take the time to make me look good. I used to rotate between like 4 or 5 different places trying to get someone who could tame my hair and work around my wonky head shape, but now I haven't gone anywhere else for like 3 years now. I had a really great experience for my first barber visit in either Canada or the United States. My Barber was fantastic and we had good conversations that I really enjoyed. Branding, Image, and complementary beer is an exceptional idea for a barber shop...it really sets the mood for all customers. You can also tell each barber is passionate about their work and carries the company image with high regard. Really great! I just moved back to CO and was apprehensive about finding a new person to cut my hair since it has taken multiple tries to find someone in the past. I did some research and tried Rock Barbers and can say I have found the place I will continue to go. I have worn my hair a bit longer for the last few years and just decided to cut it short again. The epitome of poor customer service! I needed a haircut for a funeral and looked online for nearby places. I saw Rock Barbers and I saw good reviews so I decided to try it. I walked in 10min after they opened and a woman working there asked me if I had an appointment. I told her "No I don't. Do you take walk-ins?" Her: "No. We're appointment only. We don't have an opening until 3." Me: "OK." Her "You can go online to book one." (I'm standing right in front of her at her appointment computer) Me: "Can I book it now?" Her: (Shows me computer screen with 3pm open) "Its only a 30 minute opening, that's not enough time." (takes out a card from the holder on the desk within arms reach of us both and tosses it on the desk which I placed back neatly and immediately and walked out) Out of all the places I can spend my money at and I chose your establishment and this is how I'm treated? No thank you. This woman didn't even asked me what I wanted. What if I wanted my head shaved? What if I just wanted a clean up on my neck? Or a trim? What if I didn't want my hair washed after and all that other junk? That wouldn't take the allotted 45 min they have to have to cut hair. She was just abrupt and rude. Needless to say I will never go back or endorse them to anyone. Just plain rude. I ended up going to a place closer to me and only paid $15 (then tipped her well for her exemplary customer service), had a wonderful barber and I was done in 10 minutes even with her (politely asking me to please wait while she checks them in) taking a minute to greet customers who came in. read more

Josie is both a fantastic barber and a wonderful person. I've seen her just about every month for the last 7-8 years (that's a long time, clearly she's awesome!). Within the last year, Josie moved full-time to Rock Barbers in Louisville, and I followed her from another shop in Boulder to Louisville. I'm glad I did! Before Josie, I got my hair cut from a different person every month, and that's just the way it was. But the first time she cut my hair, it was obvious that she was just a cut above everyone else (I know, how cheesy). We share a lot of the same Colorado interests (hiking, running, biking, generally ridiculous outdoor adventures) and have gotten to know each other very well over the years. I always enjoy catching up with her, and of course, I always look much getting up from her chair compared to when I first sat down. Like I said at the begining, she's both a great barder and a great person. In terms of Rock Barbers, I've been going there for about a year, and I like the place. It's the little things that count, such as using Square to pay and getting an emailed receipt. Yes, I know that it's the year 2015 and this isn't a new concept in technology, but it's still delightful when local businesses embrace new technology and the whole experience becomes easier. What Anthony and Rock Barbers doesn't know about current and classic men's style isn't worth knowing. Anthony has been cutting my hair for the past 3 years and I have never had a bad haircut. I'm not saying that Rock Bar is for everyone. If you want to get your flat top topped or your mullet permed this might not be the place for you, but if you want timely, consistent, high quality service in a great environment then give them a shot. I was a walk-in - not sure which barber I had, but I got a haircut and beard trim. The haircut was OK, but the beard trim was pretty bad. He took a small out of my cheek with the straight razor, which will certainly be a big scab on my face and will probably scar. Then on top of that, there was no uniformity in the length of my beard trim at all. I'm going to have to go over it with my own beard trimmer, which kind of defeats the purpose of getting a beard trim at the barber (unless you want to get your face cut). I was polite and didn't make a scene (because what would that gain), so I just paid them and left. An hour later my face hurts all over and my cheek is still bleeding.
