If you need a bike rental when in Carp, look no further! The shop is only open from 2pm-6pm, so make a note of that. But, the process is soooo low key, it literally took less than 15 minutes and we were on our way! The owner makes the bike selection for you, ask if you want a helmet...one person signs the paperwork and you settle the bill later! EASY PEASY!!! 4 hours is more than enough time do your ride and get the bike back before the shop closes! I seriously have not been on a bike for more than 35 years and I told him that. We rode along the new bike path on the 101 and it was spectacular! But I'll write about that on the bike path review! Gonzo's is great! We are actually thinking about renting again today! $15 an hour per bike was the charge and absolutely reasonable! read more

I am visiting from out of state and borrowed a bike from a friend. My road shoes did not fit the cleats. I called Gonzo and they offered to help, I just needed to bring the bike in. I did and there wasn't a set that worked. Being the super helpful people that they are, they must have called 3-4 other shops/friends to try to locate at set of pedals. Ultimately, they sent me somewhere else and it worked out. The bottom line is they were incredibly helpful and know what it's like when you're desperate to ride. Love these guys! read more

The gentleman who owns the shop has always been pleasant and helpful. Today I stopped by to see if I could test ride a 54cm road bike even though I said I wasn't going to buy one from him. I offered to pay for a test ride, but he didn't want the money, he was glad to help out. He dug out a bike from stock and let me ride it a few blocks which was helpful to me. If I need parts, service or bikes, I will definitely keep this outstanding shop in mind and recommend the same to anyone in need of bikes, parts or service. read more

Great price! Great place to rent a bike. My daughters and I showed up( didn't call ahead) and the owner took great care of us. Friendly and helpful. Even helped give my daughter a bad time when she tired out before her old dad. Bikes were newer and in amazing shape. Highly recommend. read more

We were on vacation in Carpinteria and brought out bicycles with us for riding around town. A day or 2 into our trip, my daughter crashed her bike and the handlebars got out of alignment with the tire and then in the morning that same tire had gone flat. We called Gonzo's and they squeezed us in, fixed the flat and tightened up the handlebars and got us back on the road. They're super friendly and accommodating, love this place! read more
