But when attempts to get him to do follow-up services became more and more difficult, I knew it was time to seek greener pastures (no pun intended). So, what do you do when your former lawn care guy develops a case of CRS and forgets to respond to that text you sent him two weeks ago? Why, you hire the folks at Guzman Lawn & Landscape, of course! Naturally, I found this local landscape company via Yelp. And, I mean...not only did these guys clear my yard of the 3 to 5 foot tall weeds that were multiplying faster than a viral meme on the Internet; they did so for nearly $80 cheaper than my former lawn care dude! I was seriously impressed! Here's another thing. Rather than waste my time spraying some mystery chemical on the weeds and dragging out the extraction process by waiting another two weeks for the chemicals to kill the plants so they could THEN cut my grass (like the previous guy did), these guys get right to it and eliminate the weeds the day they get there. Granted it took him about 5 hours because those weeds were almost as tall as my 5'7" son...it was worth the wait. And payment was easy and secure. They'll issue a digital invoice upon request. The only reason I don't give them a perfect score is because getting a quote from the owner took longer than it should have. Apparently, he doesn't take phone calls and only communicates via text--which is fine for an introvert like me. But the communication process in the beginning felt like I was texting someone who spoke a totally different language. In the end though, we got it all sorted out. They even offered to do a 3 week follow-up treatment for a lower price. I may follow that up whenever the weeds first start rearing their ugly heads out the sand again. For now...I'm giving Guzman Lawn & Landscape 4 sprouting weeds awaiting imminent death by weed-wacker out of 5.
