We absolutely love their menu dedicated to authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Highly recommend the Taiwanese Chicken -- it's perfectly crispy and seasoned! The personal hot pots are another highlight: beautifully presented, rich in flavour, and a true comfort meal. Their bubble tea is always our favourite. It's also a great spot to dine with non-Asian friends who want to explore Taiwanese flavours. Our all-time favourite choices for individual hot pots: * Pork Blood & Intestine in Spicy Hot Pot (麻辣鍋) - A bold and spicy option for adventurous eaters. * Milky Seafood Hot Pot (牛奶海鮮鍋) - Creamy and packed with seafood goodness. * Laksa Surf'n'Turf Hot Pot (喇沙海陸鍋) - Perfect balance of spice and richness. Snacks and bubble tea are always top-notch here! Some of our must-try favourites include: * Fried Squid Feet (魷魚鬚) * Pineapple Shrimp Balls (鳳梨蝦球) * Fried King Oyster Mushroom (杏鮑菇) * Salty Peppery Chicken Nuggets (鹽酥雞) The prices are reasonable, making it an awesome spot for meeting friends or group dining. Chatime NewWest - QQ peach

I went to Cha time because I was craving something sweet and because they currently have a promo; 2…read morelarge drinks for $10. There are 4 drinks to choose from, Early grey milk tea, Honeydew slush, Passionfruit green tea and QQ peach. I got the Passionfruit green tea and QQ peach, both with no ice and 80% sugar. Things started off rocky as I had to repeat my order a couple of times and correct the sweetness that he entered. I followed the wording on their chart and asked for less sweet (80% sweet), but he entered in 50% sweet. Additionally, instead of entering in the promotional value, he entered both drinks at full price, so I had to get him to correct that as well. I asked them if I could use my own glass mugs and he said yes. He never asked me for them and turned away to finish making the other customers' orders, so I placed my glass mugs where he had the other orders lined up. I noticed that he was beginning to make my drinks, but he grabbed a disposable cup. So, I had to go up and confirm that he was remembering to use my mugs. Overall, I waited 11 minutes for my drinks. There were 3 customers before me, 2 in store and one who pre-ordered. Taking my past experiences with wait times into consideration, this seemed to be on the longer side of things. To top this all off, when I finally tried my drinks (at home) they tasted diluted. You can see that my peach drink basically looks like lightly colored water. I couldn't really taste the peach. They may have also skimped on the coconut jelly and pearls as well. The passionfruit tasted mostly of tea and could have used more sweetness. If I were to order these two drinks again, I would get 100% sugar. Normally 80% is perfect for me, but I've never ordered either of this drinks before, so I can't be sure if he made my drink incorrectly, or if it's the sweetness level that changed the flavor intensity. If I were to base my experience on today's interaction alone, I would never go back. However, I've come here many times in the past and have always had great customer service. Perhaps the person working was new.

One thing to consider with any BBT shop is how good their standard pearl milk tea is and I can tell you from multiple experiences that it's very good here. I love being able to adjust the amount of both sugar and ice to accommodate my preferences, as well. On this occasion, I chose the lychee slush. I tend to select this whenever I am in the mood for a fruity flavour and it's on the menu. Admittedly, it's kinda hard to mess up. This time around, it was nice and refreshing without any large unwanted chunks of ice. This location is rather quite compared to other Chatimes and I enjoy that. It means that whenever I do want to sit down for a convo over boba a table is typically available. I do miss the old doll-catcher machine that used to be here.

Since I was on foot this time, I decided to step into this shop and check it out. It's a Filipino Bubble Tea shop. They sell bubble teas, bubble waffles, ramen (that one seemed kinda odd), and some Filipino desserts including Halo Halo. It's a hole in the wall kinda place that's easy to drive past. When I walked in, the guy working there asked me if I had ever tried Halo Halo, and then proceeded to try and entice me to try out their Halo Halo. I've had a number of Halo Halos, and I do very much enjoy a good Halo Halo. I was on my way home and planning to have lunch at home but since I was quite hot from having been walking around in the sun for quite awhile already, and as it was noon (my usual lunch time), and as it would have taken me quite a bit longer to reach home, I gave in and decided to have Halo Halo for lunch. One of the other places where I have gotten Halo Halo is another Filipino bubble tea shop that is just a few blocks away on the same street. That one only sells things to go. Here at Kabayan Cafe, they have several tables with benches where you can sit down to enjoy your food and drink. I really like that about this place, and the Halo Halo was a very nice one. Also, at all of the other places that I've gotten Halo Halo, nobody ever bothered to give me any guidance on how to eat the dessert. The guy who sold this Halo Halo to me advised me to use the spoon he had given me to press things down and mix the ingredients up before scooping and eating it. I would absolutely come back here again sometime. Might try their bubble tea next time...although I really do love their Halo Halo and might just go for that again! Service: Excellent Parking: Paid parking on the street but I saw some free parking on the side street. (London St.)

The beef noodle is really good and authentic. I love the chewiness of the noodle, the beef cut is tender and not too fatty. The soup is rich and aromatic, but not over salty like many other stores. I even drank most of the soup, and it didn't leave me thirsty. The tea is quite tasty but the peach flavor is a bit artificial, plus I find it too expensive, as they charge $7 for that. There's no bubble or coconut jelly, and is not like they use fruit puree for the tea like A Bento. I do look forward to go and try other dishes, as their bento, chicken nuggets and oyster pancakes seem appealing. Price is reasonable as well, if I am in the area, I'll definitely be back.

The inside has a total of 13 seats. Order and pay when you walk in. Menu is short with appetizers, eight entrees and bubble tea. - Beef noodle soup ($14.00) - broth was well rounded. Beef tender yet meaty. Wanted more pickled mustard. Good portion of noodles but wanted a firmer bite. - Dong po pork ($15.00) - all the side dishes were solid. Pork belly was decent but fatty and oily. Liked the lightly pickled cucumber. Rong Rong had some simple, comforting Taiwanese dishes. 3.5 stars.

I've tried several Filipino tofu desserts in the Lower Mainland and believe me when I say that what Sago Togo offers is authentic in tastes and texture. It reminds me of the warm, soft, sweet, creamy Taho (Filipino Tofu Dessert) I buy every morning when in the Philippines. I find the amount of sago (pearls) and sweetener are on point. Of course there's an option of adding more sweet syrup and sago. I have to mention that this place also offers other desserts such as Sago Gulaman, bubble teas, bubble waffles among others. I highly recommend this place. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. If you want to try authentic Taho then this is the place to go.
