I checked out this location in Stonecrest shopping strip...and I was impressed with its nice, wide layout, and bright, cheerful decor. However, I was underwhelmed with its lackluster menu...and placed WAY too high on the walls. It was kinda awkward having to look so high up to see the menu... WHY, I wonder?? I must also mention how the customer service was a bit underwhelming as well. There was no cheerful greeting, no smiles, nothing. Very flat reception really. I got the small Taro Milk Tea w/ Boba...and it was also underwhleming. I've had much better Taro flavored teas elsewhere. Also, I never liked Gong Cha's flimsy cups. For such a large, worldwide chain, it's amazing to me how they've chosen to go with such low quality cups. MASSIVE difference with Kung Fu's and ShareTea's sturdier cups, for instance. Yet, the pricing was just as high...ridiculously high, I'd say. For all such mentioned reasons, I can't rate this experience too highly. However, I am always happy to see an array of BT bars placed throughout Charlotte...and this is no exception. Just a few years ago, I felt lucky to have maybe 1-2 BT places...now, I can't even keep up lol

We stopped in here while in Charlotte for the day. Clean store with trendy decor. The staff was friendly and mixed the drinks well. Strong taste of coffee in the Coffee Milk Tea. Didn't taste like creamer like other boba shops. They do a seal top here as it mixes. One of the better boba I have had in my travels.

Gong Cha was amazing. The workers are so patient and helping and the boba / bubble tea is so declious. And the seating and style is adorable.

I'm on a boba journey and Gong Cha did not disappoint. Located in the bustling StoneCrest plaza in Ballantyne, this boba shop is a must try. It's super cute inside and actually pretty large. There is minimal seating, probably due to COVID-19, but I was just stopping in real quick while I was in the area. The lovely ladies behind the counter were very nice and patient while I decided which boba I wanted. One even answered several questions I had and I definitely appreciate that! I ended up with the brown sugar boba. It was delicious and I shall definitely be returning.

I would rate this place 3.5 stars. I came during their soft opening and their drinks were perfect! It was consistent with their other original location. I got the milk foam green tea with boba. The boba was fresh, soft, and chewy. The drink had the appropriate amount of richness and sweetness, but I could still taste the green tea. I came back again a couple weeks later and got the exact same drink, but it tasted so watered down this time. Even with the milk foam, the drink still tasted diluted. This location has inconsistencies between my first and second visit, but maybe with time, they'll be up to par with their original location. Will update if anything changes.

This is one of my favorite boba places in Charlotte so far! Their teas are delicious and taste very fresh, as opposed to some other places where the teas have an overly sweet and artificial taste. They allow you to customize your ice and sugar levels. I prefer to do 50-75% sugar because I feel that most boba teas are traditionally made way too sweet. They have a variety of add ins to choose from and their tea flavors list is very extensive. The ambiance is fun and upbeat. They had K-pop music videos playing and the decor is fun and bright. Great place to sit and catch up with a friend or go on a super casual date.

I've been on a boba high lately, and have been trying so many different places. This is definitely on the pricier side, seeing how they have 2 or 3 sizes and the M was $7 I think. They are one of the stores that charge extra for boba. I got the brown sugar boba and enjoyed it. However, the brown sugar flavor was not my favorite, so I will not be trying this drink again. But they have a wide array of beverages so the others may be better. Recommend trying out, just not my favorite. The atmosphere is nicely decorated, they have restrooms, and the employees were nice. The service was also quite fast.

So glad to be able to find authentic Taiwanese-style tea drinks in Charlotte and less than a mile from my parents' house. I live in Los Angeles so I've been avoiding getting boba drinks while in Charlotte since most places use powder for drinks (which I abhor) and have not so great boba. Here the the drinks were good and the boba was fine (I don't actually order boba with my drinks but did this time just to try). I got a foam green tea and it was the perfect taste but the one thing that really bothered me is that I like to shake the drink to mix the tea and foam so it becomes a lighter version of milk tea but they had the drink in a cup with a domed cover and opening for the straw so I couldn't really shake it but had to slowly try to stir the foam in. Hopefully they eventually go the plastic heat-pressed top route as that would be more ideal. While there is currently no tables or chairs to sit inside, the space is nicely decorated for the social media crowd so I'm sure once they allow indoor dining in their store, it will be a nice place to get a drink, take some photos and chat with friends.

Almost every state that I go to like I has to stop by Boba. A friend of mine recommends this place. Boba for us it's like friends gathering thing. We went in there like a whole group of people about 10 or 11 of us and there was so nice and patiently ordered our stuff. The inside is pretty big I love the decoration very simple. I wish there was a game but it wasn't. We sat at the big table putting all the chairs around. Just sit there and talk it's just comfortable. Laughing I remember we were loud but it wasn't a big deal in there. I guess we were just too comfortable The music was playing in the background black and pink One of them. I definitely will be back just to meet up with my friends catch up and get Boba whenever I'm in town.

This bubble tea cafe just open for business on Monday. I'm excited to have a bubble tea café in Ballantyne area. It's not any of your regular bubble tea, it's the famous Gong Cha! We ordered several drinks from here: Milk Tea with boba, Grey Earl tea milk tea, matcha foam tea, lychee green tea with boba and basil seeds, Mango yogurt and Lemon Wintermelon and all of them are great. If you don't like sweet, do not order the Lemon Wintermelon. It's already sweetened and it's too sweet for my taste. You can order all the drinks with level of sweetness according to your liking and variety of fillings (boba, coconut jelly, etc)

Green tea with milk foam, tapioca and lychee pearls. My favorite!!

The customer service is spectacular. I come here almost every week and I enjoy the drinks they make here. The environment is really cute and I just love the vibes when I hang out here with friends. Would recommend!

I never write reviews on yelp before. This is my first one ever, i went to try their new location today. I bought 4 cups because I heard that Gong cha is really good so i gave them a try. If you never try bubble tea before, I would not recommend this place for your first time. I think you would never like milk tea again if you try this place for your first time. I got premium milk tea and tasted like like water and sugar. They just have a really weird taste, it tasted almost like formula baby milk to me. I also got brown sugar with milk tea. I love brown sugar but this one tasted horrible. I couldn't even finish my tea. I have to throw them all away.

The peach stars in there are delicious!

The one at SouthPark is about the same size but more of a challenge to get in/out of since it's in the midst of the SouthPark traffic. I was tasked with the purchase of the Christmas Turkey. My mission: to find a fresh NOT frozen whole turkey, about 12 pounds, won't expire before 12/25, organic and NOT a Butterball brand. A challenging mission you might say but I felt like I was up to it. The Thanksgiving birds where purchased at the Peach Stand in Fort Mill. We got two of them and they were exceptional, two birds easily fed 30 hungry people. Sadly, they had only the frozen ones that were left over from Thanksgiving. After several google searches and calling around, I ended up here. There must have been about a 1/2 dozens birds that all fit the bill though most of them were more in the 13 to 15 pound range. Size matters here because it's going in a deep fry cooker over propane with limited capacity. I took some photos and reviewed it with the Chef and got a 'thumbs up AND a 'smiley face' emoji. The countdown to Christmas is on!

The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food served! I have eaten here many times and I have tried virtually everything on the menu. With that said, here is my take on it. Everything that I have tried has been delicious! For cold appetizers, I am a big fan of the Black Fungus W. Vinegar Sauce, Cold Spicy Sour Cucumber and the Spicy Beef Tendon. For hot appetizers, everyone raves about the Popcorn Chicken and I concur that it's very good! I really like the Frled Pork Gyoza too. For the main course, they have some rice dishes, but the main focus is the hot pot soups. They bring out a 300°F Stone bowl of broth (in an insulated pot holder) and the ingredients to put in it. You put the meat and lettuce in first, then the other ingredients and the noodles last then wait for "10 seconds"thus the name of the restaurant. I have tried all of the broths and they are all good depending on your tastes. The original broth is the bass broth. Then they add things to the other others to differentiate them. My favorites are the Tomato Soup (especially with Beef Flank) and Spicy Soup. If you like things VERY spicy, they can bring you some cut Thai peppers. The wait staff are patient are very helpful in guiding patrons. They understand that this is a new experience for them. They also pay attention to their customers eating habits. One time when I went in, they noticed that I added lots of chili peppers and chili oil to my food. That's when she said she could bring me some very hot fresh chili peppers. Charlotte is truly blessed to have so many great authentic Chinese body shops popping up all over town! I highly recommend this place! Cheers!
