To me one of the best Italian restaurants in this area. They have a large Italian menu with spaghetti, lasagna chicken fingers hamburgers with bacon cheeseburger, fettuccine Alfredo, chicken, fettuccine Alfredo gyro a lot of hot subs and sandwiches and their pizza is buy one get one free. Their sizes are very generous. The white staff are very friendly and helpful. The service is very fast, I can't say enough great things about this restaurant highly recommend read more

Let me start by my husband and I used to come here a lot for lunches with grandparents and it was great. Tonight was the first night we had gone in a long time and it HORRIBLE. Management has not been the only bad change. We walk in an hour before closing and chairs are already on top of tables in the dining room while others were eating in booths around the tables. This automatically gives a very unwelcoming feeling to the place. We order our food and it ends up being wrong -not shocked. Found out they only had one glass of sweet tea left and they asked if I wanted a soda. I took the Glass of tea because I'd rather have water than the soda options offered and we had already paid for our meal. We tried to sit on one side of the restaurant where another party was sitting and was asked by the dining room host not to sit there because she wanted to leave asap, so we went to another side. After working in food service, this is a pet peeve of mine but I know people do it so I wasn't too bothered. We then get our food. This was the WORST SALAD IVE EVER HAD. none of the vegetables are chopped except for a veggie platter. The lettuce wasn't even chopped correctly. The marinara tasted like canned sauce. They bring out the next course and my husband said the spaghetti and meatballs was just not on par like they used to be and my chicken parm sub tasted like it had been warmed up from the freezer. I tried the side pickle and it was the most awful taste ever. My husband wouldn't even try it due to the smell. During our dining experience, waitresses and managers are arguing with customers over a tiny cup of sauce that they now apparently charge for because "people are wasteful." You can tell attitudes were high and everyone was annoyed with the customer. When she left, the whole staff talked ugly about the customer with us being able to hear everything in the dining room. We were out before closing because we just couldn't be in there anymore. When we got up and left, the waitress was clearing the table before we could get out the door. The channels on the tv don't fit the actual screen and they shouldn't play food network because I'd much rather been eating what was on the television. It's very rare that I'm so annoyed and I'm sure I'm leaving something out but a $39 meal in this economy is not something I take lightly. I would've rather had McDonald's. I will be telling all of my family and friends in Cartersville not to come here now. It's pathetic how low this place has dropped. read more

Ok so this gondolier is not a sit down take your order such as the one in Rome. It kind of shocked me the it is counter serve Italian but should be the same great food.. right? I can first see the staff here is young and not like some other places the guy who took our order at the register wasn't very engaging didn't know if any specials till I sat down. Did not know I wasn't getting breadsticks with a calzone which I thought was the norm. Did not know about free cookies until a nice lady told me after she gave me one of her free breadsticks. I waited awhile for the food and it came out in waves some of us got our food 10 minutes prior to others in our party. We have been looking for a good Italian place around Cartersville and have gone as far as Rome and Acworth looking for one. I hate to say that I have always driven by Gondolier thinking nothing in a strip mall with a walk up and order counter would be much good....I was way wrong! Ate lunch there yesterday and it was GREAT! The bread sticks are the perfect blend of pizza dough and bread with a brown crunchy outside and soft moist inside. The marinara that came with was really good. My salad was simple but VERY FRESH with great blue cheese dressing. When the Lasagna came I was pleased not to be greatest buy a plate of cheese with a sliver of actual Lasagna underneath. The ample portion of lasagna was topped with a perfect amount of mozzarella cheese. Flavor and texture of the dish was almost perfect! I am not saying that this is the best Italian restaurant in the world....I am saying it is the best one in Cartersville and surrounding areas!!!! Give it a try!!!!! read more

Went in after a visit to the Dr. We do no have one close to us. Grew up eating at Gondolier. be it Ky to Lenior City. I have never had any problems until today!!! This chain restaurant has been consistent every time. I just remember even going as a young child watching the guy making pizza he would sneak me cheese. Needlessly today was definitely a let down. Went to the say we didn't stay. No even a greeting, no waitress, no menu, nothing!! Girl cleaning floors told me to sit anywhere and they 'would see us' Obviously after well over what in my opinion time to bee seated with drink and menu. Let's just say the cleaning crew was all I saw!! After that we left!! The one cleaning the floor have a day!! Seriously we will never go they again!! My son received a coupon for free pizza for winning the historical bowl. I didn't expect much out of this place. Usually places like this the crust and taste is flat. Boy was I wrong. Not only do they have a great deal ( bogo pizza ) it was one of the best tasting pizza we had ever tasted. My kids who aren't big veggies eaters loved the spinach on their pizza. We had gyro pizza and a BBQ chicken pizza. The gyro one was good but they burned the BBQ pizza. So there's that. The next time we had 2 Strombolis and they were good. The Greek salad was mediocre. I also tried the White 3 cheese pizza. It was OK. I have been here 3 times and have not been impressed at all. They really don't have good prices on their pizza. Even with "buy one get one free" I spent $25 for two "large" pizzas that looked more like mediums. I will be finding a new pizza shop. They use to have decent food and service. They have changed owners, remolded and changed to them servicing the tables. You can no longer get your own drink refills, but they don't watch close enough to make sure you aren't sitting with no drink, usually takes around 15 min for them to notice someone needs a refill. They no longer have senior discounts, or rather you have to choose between, on your first visit after this last management change, senior discounts and loyalty points. Once you have enough loyalty points to get a reward, you have EXACTLY 14 days to redeem them, OR THEY EXPIRE!!! Loyalty points should NEVER expire!! Oh, and they also quit carrying my dressing. I guess I'm going to have to find a new place to eat!! read more

This is definitely a no-frills restaurant. Food is served on paper plates, there are no servers and you get your own drinks, but the prices are super low and you can't beat it for a quick, satisfying bite. Most importantly, the pizza ROCKS! My favorite pizza in town. The family special with the gondolier pizza. We just moved about 20 mins away from it and there are closer pizza place but it is worth the drive for sure. Got food poisoning from eating here Sun Dec 10th, 2017! When I called to let them know the 3 of us were not feeling well I wasn't treated very nicely. I was hoping that today because of the low volume they would be a little more responsive to their loyal customers. This is not been the case. The entrée that I ordered was disappointing and the salad was not fresh. Also it seemed very difficult to get some responsiveness from the counter representatives. We had Caesar salad, gyros and a couple of pizzas to go. It was all good for the price. Salad came with shaved Parmesan, plenty of dressing and fresh romaine. The gyros were satisfactory also. Good gyro meat, fresh pita, plenty of sauce. The pizzas were good also. We fed 5-6 teen boys at home with them. Service was great. They kept our drinks full, checked on us regularly.
