a salad with cucumbers and onions

Let me start by my husband and I used to come here a lot for lunches with grandparents and it was great. Tonight was the first night we had gone in a long time and it HORRIBLE. Management has not been the only bad change. We walk in an hour before closing and chairs are already on top of tables in the dining room while others were eating in booths around the tables. This automatically gives a very unwelcoming feeling to the place. We order our food and it ends up being wrong -not shocked. Found out they only had one glass of sweet tea left and they asked if I wanted a soda. I took the Glass of tea because I'd rather have water than the soda options offered and we had already paid for our meal. We tried to sit on one side of the restaurant where another party was sitting and was asked by the dining room host not to sit there because she wanted to leave asap, so we went to another side. After working in food service, this is a pet peeve of mine but I know people do it so I wasn't too bothered. We then get our food. This was the WORST SALAD IVE EVER HAD. none of the vegetables are chopped except for a veggie platter. The lettuce wasn't even chopped correctly. The marinara tasted like canned sauce. They bring out the next course and my husband said the spaghetti and meatballs was just not on par like they used to be and my chicken parm sub tasted like it had been warmed up from the freezer. I tried the side pickle and it was the most awful taste ever. My husband wouldn't even try it due to the smell. During our dining experience, waitresses and managers are arguing with customers over a tiny cup of sauce that they now apparently charge for because "people are wasteful." You can tell attitudes were high and everyone was annoyed with the customer. When she left, the whole staff talked ugly about the customer with us being able to hear everything in the dining room. We were out before closing because we just couldn't be in there anymore. When we got up and left, the waitress was clearing the table before we could get out the door. The channels on the tv don't fit the actual screen and they shouldn't play food network because I'd much rather been eating what was on the television. It's very rare that I'm so annoyed and I'm sure I'm leaving something out but a $39 meal in this economy is not something I take lightly. I would've rather had McDonald's. I will be telling all of my family and friends in Cartersville not to come here now. It's pathetic how low this place has dropped.

The calzone was cold, greasy, contained no Ricotta the way they should & was over cooked ... never had a worse tasting calzone.

I've reviewed Mule House twice over the past few years we've been going and despite the 30-min…read more drive, we've been quite a few times even bringing friends & relatives. Sad to say we're likely done for foreseeable future. In a growing trend, they've had problems with the beverage station. Usually, it's no unsweet tea but we've also seen the fountain drinks out of order too. For the tea, they say their 2nd tea urn "broke." Ok, you're making $2.75 profit off of every $2.95 glass of tea you sell. Buy another urn. Or - as some places do - get a 2-gallon pitcher, boil water, add three 20-cent tea bags & you're good to sell 25 or 30 units at probably $3 each! But the final straw is that they seem to have adjusted the fig-prosciutto pizza recipe, swapping in basil for arugula. And last visit, they put the basil on before cooking so their blazing wood-fired oven nearly incinerated the basil. Then, when wife asked for some arugula, they brought out some wilted scraps for her but then could be seen refilling the arugula bin with a fresh batch. There appear to be only teenagers working when we go - which admittedly is usually a weekend - but maybe the owner should check in now & then as they've now lost a fairly regular customer.

Got a call almost immediately after ordering that they had run out of pepperoni (how do you run out of pepperoni at 1pm on a Monday???)i. So I said just do cheese. What I got was the worst arthritic example of a pizza I've had in a very long time. Dry as a desert(just a small thin layer of sauce that was absorbed into the crust and virtually no cheese) Also the dough was so thin..like a thin crust pizza. Absolutely terrible job. I have ordered many pizzas from Neenas and have never had a issue like this. Plus they never adjusted my bill since I paid for a pepperoni and only got cheese. I'm stumped, they are usually fantastic. Did you guys have their 3rd string employees working the holiday today? Guessing they didn't want to be there today.

The toppings were slung all over the place, mostly on one side, and the pizza was so greasy on top and bottom it made us nauseated. I have had the spaghetti here before and it was good. Sad to know that a pizza joint that specializes in New York style pizza is not as good as a box pizza from the grocery store. The only reason it's not a one star review is because the staff is always polite and professional. I'm definitely not returning.
